Sidney
10 years. 3,650 days. 87,600 hours. That’s how long it has been since I saw my best friend. But who’s counting? Walking away from Luke Thomas was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but the choice was out of my hands. I left Las Vegas a seventeen-year-old girl, afraid and alone, and returned about the same. I was forced into a situation I didn’t want to be in. Until that day. I haven’t seen him in ten long years, but one look at the man he became and that killer smile, and I knew I would never be the same. Luke Life goes on. I learned that valuable piece of information at a young age, but sometimes a memory creeps up and smacks me square in the face. Or more accurately, a person. The day my best friend walked away was the day I realized I’d never be the same. My life became work, family, and women, and I was doing great. Then she walked back into my life. One look at the grown-version of Sidney Rogen leaves me breathless and yearning for more. But love is never easy. And our love story isn’t perfect. In a heartbeat, one person can wrap around you so tightly, you’re entwined forever. That’s our love. Luke
10 years ago “So, I’m sure you see why I think we should break up, right? I mean, we’re both heading off to college soon, and I want to experience everything that college life has to offer.” I gape at Jessica, my girlfriend for the past five months. Wants to experience everything? That’s code for ‘wants to sleep around.’ I’m a dude. I know. “And you just had to do this tonight?” I ask, looking back at the doorway that leads inside my house. The same house where my entire family and a good amount of my friends are gathered to celebrate my high school graduation. “Well, I just thought it was best to cut the cord now, you know? Like…just do it.” “Whatever, Jess. If you want to break up now, that’s fine.” “Really?” she asks, twirling her long brown hair around her pointer finger. “You’re gonna be okay?” She gives me those big brown, puppy dog eyes that won over my heart–and my dick–during Christmas break. I’ve known this moment was coming since I started dating Jessica. I didn’t see anything long-term developing with her. Call me an asshole, but I knew she was just someone to help me pass the time during my final year of high school. But I also knew going into this that she felt the same way. I guess, in a way, we both used each other to keep ourselves company until we moved on to the next stage in our lives. “I’m going to be fine, Jess. We both knew it was coming to this eventually, right?” She continues to twirl her hair around her fingers. Why had I never noticed how fucking annoying that was? “Listen, we had a great time. If you’re ever in the Seattle area, look me up, ‘kay? We can maybe spend some time together for ol’ times’ sake.” Her smile tells me exactly what her comment means. She’s looking to hook up again if I’m ever close to where she’s attending college. “Maybe,” I reply with a shrug. As much fun as I’ve had with Jess in the last few months, I don’t see myself reaching out to her anytime in the future. The sex has always been all right, but nothing I see myself driving upwards of eighteen hours to get. There’s plenty of mediocre ass left in Vegas if I’m that desperate for a hook up. And, honestly, as an eighteen-year-old red-blooded male on the verge of experiencing college life, I’m pretty sure I’ll have no problem moving forward from here. “Bye, Luke. It’s been fun,” she says before placing her full lips against mine. The kiss is brief, closed mouth, and lacks the usual tongue and groping we generally partake in. This kiss is goodbye. I watch as she walks away, heading around the side of the house so she doesn’t have to go back the way she came; where my entire family celebrates. Gazing out over the darkened backyard, it’s not lost on me that there’s no going back from here. That I’m finally leaving the only home I’ve ever known. I’ve graduated high school, will start UNLV in a couple of months, and will finally be out from under the controlling thumb of my mother. Ever since I was younger, Blake and I chalked it up to me being the baby of the family for her ever-present hovering and involvement in my life. It’s time for me to grow up and experience life. And I’m starting it without a girlfriend. The slightest sound of something thumping against wood pulls my attention away from the emptiness of night and towards the small fort in the back corner of the yard. Built ten years ago out of pieces of scrap wood we’d find around the neighborhood, the fort was my brother’s and my escape from the house. We’d spend hours upon hours in that thing, playing with GI Joes, having Nerf gun wars, and when we were older, sneaking off to steal our first kisses. But I know the noise coming from inside isn’t from my brother. There’s only one person who still uses that fort: our neighbor, Sidney. Author: Rachael Duncan
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 6, 2017
Grass isn't always greener...
DIVORCE.
I never dreamed this would become my reality.
But it is.
After feeling neglected and alone for far too long, I end it,
Blindsiding my husband in the process.
He's hurt, torn, and confused,
Never expecting me to leave.
His pain tears at my heart, begs me to stay.
And I almost do.
Almost.
Moving on isn't as easy as it seems.
The memories tap at my conscience,
Reminding me of what I'm missing,
What I used to have.
But, I walked away,
From the man I promised forever,
Possibly making the worst mistake of my life.
I've let go, given myself a promise of a new life, new hope.
But does the other side have more risk than reward?
Rachael Duncan is an Army wife and mother to two beautiful girls. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and went off to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in political science. With initial plans to work in politics, she moved to Washington, D.C. and worked on Capitol Hill for a House Representative. After a short time, she realized it wasn't for her and began pursuing other careers until she started writing. She's the author of Tackled by Love, The Lies and Truth Series, and Hopeless Vows.
It’s easy to recognize the bad when you’re in the moment. All the good is erased and you’re blinded by the negative. Each fight, every moment of hurt starts as a small scab. If taken care of, it’ll heal. But the more you pick, the worse it gets until it festers and infects everything. Is that what I let happen to my marriage? What if I had tried to fix my initial hurt instead of internalizing and letting it fester?

Title: Switch
Series: Landry Family #3
Author: Adriana Locke
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: February 20, 2017
Blurb
Mallory Sims is late for her first day of work. After spilling her tea, she discovers she has no gas in her car. Add that her arm keeps sticking to her dress from syrup left on the console of her car, flustered feels like an understatement. Then she sees her new boss. Graham Landry is the epitome of NSFW in his custom-fit suit, black-rimmed glasses, and a look so stern her libido doesn’t stand a chance. Being flustered is just the start of her problems. Her punctuality is only the start of his. With a pink slip in hand, he’s been waiting on his new secretary to show up only to let her go. Then she rushes in with her doe eyes and rambling excuses, smelling like bacon and lavender. The termination paper falls to the side as she falls in his arms. This is a disaster in the making. Not because of his pinpoint exactness or her free spirit, but because when they’re together, the sparks that fly threaten to burn the whole place down. 5 Star Review by Ashley
I knew Adriana Locke had something good going when I read the first book in this series. I love the Landry family. All the siblings are their own person with their unique traits. But Graham with his studiousness has always intrigued me. I really enjoyed getting to know him better in Switch and not just because he can rock a suit. He's the serious one, the "brains" behind the whole operation. The one who holds everything together for everyone.
But he needs help- the plans he has for his plans are falling apart at work and he needs an assistant- stat. Enter Mallory Sims, the smoking hot friend of his sisters. I LOVED her. She was brave, sassy and incredibly intelligent. She was starting over, on her own terms after one too many people had beaten her spirit down. This time, she's not holding back and going after what she wants. And what she wants is her sexy, dirty talking new boss, Graham. When these two finally gave into their undeniable chemistry, they steamed it up all over the place! WHEW HOT!! The banter between Mallory and Graham is what really kept me reading though. It was light, flirty, playful and full of innuendo. My stars. I loved seeing the change in him How he opened up, freely to Mallory. No one can resist her kindness or charm. But it was the way he poured himself dry to make amends for his epic screw up with Mallory showed just how far he had come since she blew her way into his life and messed everything up. And changed him. For the better. I can't say too much more without giving up all the goods but I can say this READ IT! With Switch, Adriana Locke gave me everything I love in a book. I laughed, I swooned, I fanned myself and I felt the love. I can't leave out how much seeing the rest of the family warmed my heart. Catching up with Barrett and Lincoln is enough to put a smile on anyone's face. Don't even get me started on Ford- that man is going to be something else. I want to be a part of the Landry family (a cousin would be just fine with me). Gah! I absolutely can not wait for the next installment of this series.
Excerpt
We both know we aren’t just talking about a moved stapler or a mishmash of files. As that really sets in, the air around us gets heavier. Hotter. Hazardous.
“Those things always lead to dangerous situations,” he says, his eyes trained on me. I shift in my seat, the throb between my legs growing stronger by the second. “People do it every day and survive.” “They may survive, but don’t things get messy?” “Only if they do it right.” His chair flies backwards and he’s to his feet and next to me before I know what’s happening. He doesn’t ask that I stand, but he doesn’t have to. It’s implied and my body reacts accordingly to his silent command. We stand face-to-face, our breathing ragged. Our chests heave with the anticipation, the possibility, of what might come next. “You are, quite possibly, the most dangerous of them all,” he says, his voice rough. “Why is that?” I breathe. “There’s no plan for you.” “But you’ve already penciled me in, haven’t you, Graham?” I ask, finding the courage to play this little game with him. Being strictly professional is incredibly hard, and this is way too easy. I can flirt with the best of them in a bar or on a college campus. But here, with him, it’s a game all its own. A level I had no idea I’d ever be a contender in. Maybe I’m not, but I’m going to play the hell out of it while I’m here … even though if I keep it up, I might not be here for long. “What do you want, Mallory?” “I want to do all the things you ask of me and do them better than you ever expected they could be done.” A rumble emits from his throat as his eyes darken. My knees go weak and I grab the table with my left hand to ensure I don’t fall. He licks his lips and flips his gaze to my mouth. I think I whimper as I lift my chin, waiting to see what he does next. My entire body is on fire for this man, my heart thumping so hard I’m sure he can hear it. He moves so my back is pressed against the table, our food long forgotten. His hands are on either side of me, caging me in. Our eyes locked together, he leans in, a slow smirk spreading across his gorgeous face. “Excuse me, Mr. Landry. Ford is here to see you,” Raza chirps through the line. We exhale simultaneously, a giggle escaping with mine. There’s nothing funny about this, but the energy has to come out in some way. “Mr. Landry?” she asks again. “I’ll be right out. Thank you, Raza.” “Oh, you’re so welcome, sir.” The line clicks off and Graham marches across the room and punches a button. The light on top indicates he’s not to be disturbed. I busy myself with cleaning up our lunch, and before he’s at my side again, I have everything bundled up. “Thanks for lunch,” I say like nothing just happened. “Mallory …” He runs his hand through his hair, leaving one lock sticking up. Knowing what that will look like if we walk out together, I reach up, hesitating for a split second, before smoothing it out. His hair is silky against my fingers. He jumps when I touch him at first, but doesn’t back away. “What are you doing?” “Nothing went on in here. I refuse for it to look like something did. That’s the way rumors get spread, Mr. Landry.” “Mallory, I …” I get a final look at his face, reach up and straighten his tie as his eyes go wide, then turn towards the door. “I’ll send Ford in.” “Mallory!” “Yeah?” I turn to see him over my shoulder. He’s standing by the table, his hands in his pockets looking frazzled. When he doesn’t respond, I place my hand on the knob. “I’ll have that file back to you before I leave today. Thanks again for lunch.”

But no one can ever see past how weird I am. Bright lights? Can’t stand them. Loud noises? Definitely sends me over the edge. And touching? Forget about it. At least, until I met Drake. From the moment I walked into that nightclub, I finally felt like I belonged somewhere. And when Drake touched me, it didn’t send me into a tailspin of sensations that I couldn’t stand. It actually felt…nice. Like something I could get used to. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s probably the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. But now someone wants to close the club down. And since I promised Drake that I’d help him keep it open, I’m going to have to find a way to tap into whatever that inner strength thing is that everyone always talks about. And fast. He offered his hand. “Name’s Drake Markham.” I nodded but didn’t reciprocate. “So, you work here now?” Drake asked. “Yes.” I spotted the band signaling the sound tech that they’d finished warming up and knew the music would end this conversation soon. Hawaiian tossed an empty bottle over his shoulder into the trash. “She’s awesome. Can make change in her head and shit. Einstein here has crazy math skills. Awesome when the machine don’t work.” “That’s high praise.” Drake pushed from the mahogany bar top, his biceps straining against his thin T-shirt. Ugh, no. I traced the X on the back of my wrist, reminding me of my promise to remain straight. No promiscuous sex. “Well, let’s see what you’ve got.” His gaze penetrated me like he’d just stripped and threw me up on the bar to have his way with me. I swallowed the slut comment that would land me in the back room, strung out, and unemployed. “Okay. Whatcha want?” I asked. Drake rubbed his stubble-coated jaw, the kind that screamed strength, sensuality, and sex. “Surprise me.” That all too familiar Dr. Hyde part of me took hold. “Sure.” I began mixing every fruity concoction together while remembering what flavors mixed well and which tasted like shit. I dropped a few cherries and orange slices into the drink and handed it to him. He eyed the concoction in the clear plastic cup. “And what’s this?” “BBBW.” Resting his elbows on the bar, he tapped his class ring against the surface three times. I strummed my fingers against my jeans. “Stands for Big-Boobed Bitch Whipped.” Drake roared with laughter, cut short by the hard banging drum sounding off the start of the band’s first song. “Not whipped anymore. I’m done with Margo and any woman who only cares about money.” I scanned the bar for the next customer, but they’d all turned to watch the show. “I like you,” Drake shouted over the bass guitarist. I couldn’t think of a snarky comeback with the thu-thump, thu-thump pounding in my ears. A thought formed. I opened my mouth, but he slid from the stool and walked away. Not just any kind of walk—a hip-swaying, firm-ass, I-know-how-to-move-more-places-than-the-dance-floor kind of walk. I closed my eyes to calm my overactive hormones and shut my mouth that was still hanging open, trying to form words. After being celibate for a year and running into such eye candy, this was going to be tough. Hopefully, he wouldn’t be around much. Otherwise, my promise to my Straight Edge family would come to a quick demise. I knew where the slope of promiscuity led from experience. A quick one-night stand worked better for me than love and relationships. But I wouldn’t survive that path again. This time I’d be lost forever.

EXCERPT:
âYou can be such a bitch, Morgan,â Chrystal spat before trailing after her sister. Meh. Sheâd been called worse. And two ducks in a bucket, fuck it. That had felt good. Turning around, Morgan headed back for the ballroom. Funny. She no longer needed that fresh airâ âOof.â She slammed into a wall, quickly shooting her hands up to prevent a face-plant into plaster. âSon of aââ she grumbled, but the gentle but firm grasp of fingers circling her upper arms and steadying her cut off the complaint. O-kay. Maybe not a wall. She blinked. Not unless the hotelâs décor included stark white dress shirts and black tuxedo jackets. Slowly, she lifted her head. Black bowtie. Taut golden skin stretched over a strong neck. A clean-shaven jaw and chin that couldâve been carved out of granite. A shockingly carnal but stern mouth with a slightly fuller bottom lip that appeared as if a woman had just been nipping at it only moments earlier. A straight, arrogant slash of nose and equally patrician, sculpted cheekbones. And⦠Oh God. A pair of stunning, silvery-grey, thickly lashed eyes. Luminescent. The flowery word popped into her head, and though it seemed ridiculous to attach such purple prose to this man with his face of honed edges, cutting angles, almost harsh sensuality, she couldnât banish it. Crazy how a lovely, grey gaze glinting withâ¦with⦠Disgust? Icy contempt dispelled any lingering warmth inside her with an arctic blast. Well, damn, all sheâd done was bump into him. But he stared at her as if she were a flea-bitten stray that had strutted up to him and pissed on his tuxedo pants leg. âExcuse me,â she apologized, stepping back and out of his hold. âI wasnât paying attention.â âItâs fine.â His hands fell away from her as if he couldnât abide one more moment touching her. Stillâ¦she fought not to close her eyes. God, she could roll around in that voice like bikini-clad strippers in a batch of fresh mud. Just coat herself in it. Even the concise, clipped tone couldnât tarnish the deep, dark timbre. âYou wereâ¦preoccupied,â he added, the same disdain that hardened his stare coloring his words. His flinty gaze flicked over her shoulder in the direction the Terrible Twosome had disappeared before resting on her again. The last part of her conversation drifted back to her. ââ¦this city is full of CEOs and millionaires. Where thereâs one, thereâs another, and most are ready and willing to get laid.â She smothered a cringe. Damn. That had probably sounded awful. Can you say âgold diggerâ? Usually, she wouldnât have cared about explaining herself, but for some reason, she wanted to melt the ice in those silver eyes. That same elusive logic had her longing to see a smile curving those sensual lips. âI think you may have misconstrued what you mightâve overheardâ¦â A dark eyebrow arched high. âI doubt it.â Surprise at the abrupt interruption winged through her. What the hell⦠Irritationâno angerâsurged hot and heavy inside her. Whether it was at him for his arrogant contempt or at herself for giving a damn about his opinion of her, she couldnât say. Yeah, she could. Screw him and the high horse he rode in on. He didnât know her⦠No one knew her. She grinned, and at the same time, treated him to a cool, withering gaze that sheâd learned to perfect right along with her knowledge of which dinner fork to use. âOh good.â She sighed. âFor a second there, I was afraid you might believe I was only after a manâs money.â She chuckled, shaking her head. âWhen the truth is I want his money and ovary-exploding orgasms. Those two together are so hard to find, you know what I mean?â Patting his shoulder, she stepped to the side and continued toward the ballroom. Prick. About YOUR TEMPTING LOVE
Christopher Bennett is a persuasive man. With his magnetic charm and undeniable wit, he plays a key role in the international success of his family’s company.
Christopher adores his family, even if they can be too meddling sometimes… like when they recommend him to employ Victoria Hensley’s decorating services for his new apartment in an attempt to set him up with her. Christopher isn’t looking to settle down, but meeting Victoria turns his world upside down. Her laughter is contagious, and her beautiful lips and curves are too tempting.
Victoria Hensley is determined not to fall under Christopher’s spell, even though the man is hotter than sin, and his flirty banter makes her toes curl. But Christopher is her client, and she knows better than to get involved with clients. Besides, Victoria isn’t looking for love. After her parents’ death, Victoria is raising her much younger siblings, and she can’t afford any mistakes.
But Victoria and Christopher’s chemistry is not just the sparks-flying kind, but the downright explosive kind. Before she knows it, Christopher is training her brother Lucas for soccer tryouts and reading bedtime stories to her sister Chloe.
Victoria wants to resist him, but Christopher is determined, stubborn, and oh-so-persuasive. When their attraction and connection both spiral out of control, will they be able to risk it all for a love that is far too tempting?
YOUR TEMPTING LOVE releases February 17th!
EXCERPT:
Glancing down at my phone, I notice an unread message from Christopher. I must have received it while I was talking with his mother. Christopher: I have a problem. Oh crap. I wonder what he wants to change in the setup of his apartment. I inspect Christopher's folder on my laptop. I have a list of all the items he seemed interested in beside the ones he signaled as “the ones.” In my experience, people sometimes change their mind up to one week after the shopping trip. When that happens, they often prefer an item they saw in passing to the one they decided on. In the early days, this led to a lot of back-and-forth hassle, which is why I try to jot down most of the items they seem interested in. It's also why I don't actually order the items after the first visit. I just check the estimated delivery date, and if one week later nothing changes, I place the order. With Christopher's file in front of me, I text back. Victoria: What is it? A few minutes pass before he answers. Christopher: I can't take my mind off a certain brunette I met recently. I have to reread the message three times before the meaning of his words sinks in. When it does, a lightness settles in my chest. I type and delete a few times, wondering what on earth would be an appropriate answer. Yet the longer I stare at my phone, the more tempted I am not to reply with something appropriate. In the end, curiosity gets the better of me. Victoria: Why not? I'm on pins and needles the entire time I wait for him to write back. An eternity seems to pass in the thirty seconds—not that I'm counting—it takes for his reply to appear on my screen. Christopher: Because I like everything I know about her so far. OhGod OhGod OhGod. He's not done yet; I can see that by the tiny dots appearing on the screen, indicating he's typing. I hold my breath, drumming my fingers on my desk, staring at the screen the entire time. Christopher: She's smart and sassy, and beautiful. I've never met anyone who's so devoted to her siblings outside of my family. And she makes great cookies. Until now, I never understood the concept of swooning. My entire body buzzes with awareness and emotion, and I'm at a loss for what to say. This man. He's a dream and danger all rolled into one, and I have absolutely no idea what to write back. My fingers are moving on the screen of their own accord. Aiden had known the second he laid his eyes on that spectacular hourglass figure of hers that he wanted her. Of course he had. A man would have to be dead not to want to spend time between those gorgeous thighs, worshiping at those fantastic breasts while he fucked into what he’d bet was the tightest pussy in creation. Yes, his cock had screamed ‘MINE!’ the moment his gaze settled on her fine little body. But the second she’d turned and he’d seen her exquisite face for the first time… yeah, he’d been done. He’d known that woman would hold him – heart, mind, body, and soul. There’d been no question at all. He was claiming sweet Carolina for his own.

No matter how tempting he might be, she cannot--will not--fall for a man like Lance Cortez. The outrageously handsome cowboy is practically a living legend in Colorado, as famous for riding bulls as he is for breaking hearts. What would a big-time rodeo star like him see in a small-town veterinarian who wears glasses, rescues animals, and cries when watching rom-coms? Turns out, plenty. Raising bulls, riding the circuit, and looking after his ailing father--Lance never stands still for long. Yet Jessa catches his attention, and the more she tries to resist him, the more he wants her. When she agrees to move to the ranch to keep an eye on Lance's dad, Jessa tells him they have to keep it professional: no flirting, no sweet talk, and definitely no kissing. But with Jessa now living under his roof, that's easier said than done . . . HOMETOWN COWBOY - EXCERPT He tried to think of another stupid question, something insignificant, but the truth was he didn’t care what her favorite color was. He didn’t care what she liked to eat. That would all be learned in time. What fascinated him most about Jessa was her heart. The woman had been hurt. Engaged a couple of times, rumor had it. She’d been cast aside. Abandoned just like him. But she had this resilience he envied. Only one person had rejected him in his whole life and yet in that one moment he’d shut himself off to the very connection he was starting to feel with Jessa. He’d ridden bulls, been bucked around, thrown. He’d broken too many bones to count. But this…this terrified him. The risk seemed so much greater than just his own life. Yet he didn’t want to turn back. He didn’t want to run scared this time. Jessa had managed to do what no other woman could all these years. She’d earned his trust. He braved a look into her stunning eyes. “What do you want most in life?” he asked her, wondering if maybe he could offer it to her. Her expression sobered. She rolled onto her back and stared up at the sky again. Figuring it might make it easier for her to answer, he did the same. Wind rustled the pine needles and made the water quietly lap at the shoreline. He said nothing, though Jessa’s silence tempted him to let her off the hook. Finally, she sighed, as though she’d resigned herself to honesty. “Love,” she murmured as though somewhat ashamed. “That’s what I want most in life. To love someone wholly and truly. And to have them love me back.” The words struck him with their simplicity. Wasn’t that what most people wanted but were too afraid to admit? He leaned over, kissing her tenderly yet firmly. When he pulled back, his heart pounded. “I don’t know how to do that,” he admitted. To love someone. Even more than that, to let someone love him. “But maybe I can learn.” Pre-order now: Amazon: http://bit.ly/HometownCowboyAMZ B&N: http://bit.ly/HometownCowboyBN Kobo: http://bit.ly/HometownCowboyKOBO iBooks: http://bit.ly/HometownCowboyIBOOKS GooglePlay: http://bit.ly/HometownCowboyGOOGLEPLAY BAM: http://bit.ly/HometownCowboyBAM About the Author Sara Richardson grew up chasing adventure in Colorado’s rugged mountains.
