Melissa Collins Author Page ABOUT THE AUTHOR Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream. Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.

Title: How You Get The Girl Series: Theme Song Duet #2 Release Date: April 24, 2017
As Hollywood’s hottest actor, getting a woman in my bed is never a challenge.
Then I spotted her at a bar—she wanted a man for the night, and I jumped at the chance to fill the role. I gave her Joel Kline’s best, and she smacked my pretty face. But don’t worry, that’s not the end of our story. Her brand of crazy inspired me, and I had to see her again, no matter the cost. Now, Alessandra Rose is my lead makeup artist for the next four months. Literally, her job is to touch me every day for the duration of filming. Sounds like a win, right? Nope, she stops me at every hint of a flirt. I’m in uncharted waters for once. Joel Kline’s famous techniques to get the girl are failing me. It’s no longer about those sexy Brazilian lips, or her fiery spirit that gives me a hard on. It’s about making her banana pancakes after she spends the night in my home. It’s about knocking down those walls around her, claiming her as mine. She’s going to fight me, of course, unwilling to accept that it’s not all an act. But I’m not going anywhere; that’s how you get the girl. *May be read as standalone*
Six holes later she was all riled up and losing the game. The competitive side of her had come out, and I found it undeniably sexy.
I’d had a hard-on since she start cursing in Portuguese on hole three. But despite the added discomfort in my jeans, I was still whipping her ass, and she was not liking it. In a cute way. “Here, let me help you, crazy.” My arms wrapped around her and held the club with her hands. “I’m going to pretend you don’t have your dick on my ass in front of all these people,” she whispered, and I chuckled. “Whatever helps you sleep at night.” I moved our hands together, and whispered encouraging words in her ear. I may or may not have also enjoyed the hell out of being so close to her, getting to hold her, smelling her hair. Classic move to get close, teaching her something. “I know what you’re doing,” she hissed, all sassy. “And boom!” We hit the ball and what do you know? She nailed it. She leapt out of my arms and did a little victory dance. “Take that, sucker!” She wiggled, and I was mesmerized. “You had a good teacher.” I reminded her, to which she gave me the finger. “Fine, fine. You had the magic dick touching you, giving you the power to put the ball in the hole. He’s good at that, you know, entering holes.” I walked over to the next spot and stood behind the couple in front of us, waiting for our turn. I could tell she was ready to spout out some comeback at me but held it in since there were other people so close.

Book Title: Emergency Attraction Author: Samanthe BeckRelease Date: April 17, 2017
About the Emergency Attraction
Ten years ago when Shane Maguire chose the Marines as his escape from some trouble of his own making, he only regretted one thing—leaving Sinclair Smith behind. Despite his best intentions, she ended up as the one that got away. Now he’s back, determined to reclaim everything he gave up, including Sinclair.
Sinclair is immune to Shane’s charms. She’s immune to stolen kisses behind the gym. And she’s definitely immune to that maneuver he did in the back seat of his car… Okay, maybe her hormones are susceptible, but she has absolutely no desire to risk anything on the bad boy who broke all his promises. When a little emergency lands her at his mercy, he offers her a deal she can’t refuse. And this time, she’ll show Shane what it means to be left wanting… Buy Now Amazon US | | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA Nook | iBooks | Kobo Excerpt“Not a mark on the car.”Shane turned and walked back to where Sinclair stood with her skirt caught in the car door. “Or you?” Her chin came up as he drew near. “That goes without saying.” “Does it?” He dropped his gaze, and took a slow tour of some territory he’d once been intimately familiar with, starting at her bare shoulders and continuing to where satiny skin disappeared beneath blue silk. “I remember finding some extremely creative places to leave marks.” He ran his finger along the neckline of her dress. “So you wouldn’t get in trouble. You didn’t need to be as cautious with me.” “I”—she broke off and swallowed—“I don’t remember…” Oh, yeah. She remembered. He took the gift bag out of her hand and set it on the roof of the Mercedes. “I’ll let you in on a little secret, Sinclair.” “What?” The word barely qualified as a whisper. “I’m still extremely creative.” With that, he dropped to his knee, and peered behind her. Her hand smacked his shoulder. “What are you doing?” “Seeing if I can find a creative solution to your little predicament.” The position gave him an up-close look at the tangle of her skirt in the car door, the torn seam that rendered the dress un-wearable—he turned his head slightly-- Muscles quivered in response. The hand on his shoulder switched to the top of his head, but she didn’t push him away. He trailed his lips across her thigh, automatically following the line of her panties where it hugged her hip and arrowed around front. Her shuddery exhale triggered his inhale. Her scent stormed his senses, achingly familiar, and dangerously arousing. The molecules infiltrated his brain, coated the back of his throat, and left him dizzy from need. Balancing before her on both knees, taking a hip in each hand, he slowly closed in on the sheer triangle covering the prize. “Shane…” He took another hungry inhale. The tip of his nose skimmed the lace. “Yes?” Those slim fingers slid down until her palm cupped the back of his head. Her thighs parted. “Ye—” A car alarm shattered the silence and broke the spell lust and memories had woven around them. She jerked away, shoved her skirt down, and glared at him. “That’s not part of our deal.” He stood, intentionally taking up the space she’d tried to carve out for herself. “Don’t kid yourself, Sinclair. That’s always been part of our deal.”
Emergency Attraction PlaylistI always listen to music when I write, but I don’t usually create a particular soundtrack for a story. The tunes are just white noise to block out distractions. My new release, however, is an exception to that rule. Emergency Attraction didn’t just have a playlist. It had a song at its heart—Miranda Lambert’s The House That Built Me. Why? Well, the book is a reunion story on two counts. Shane Maguire is back in Magnolia Grove for the first time in ten years, and he’s determined to reconnect with Sinclair Smith—the girl he’s always considered the one that got away. But there’s another part of him that needs to reconnect with his hometown. Whether he likes it or not, the place he grew up helped shape him, and he can’t be the man he wants to be until he accepts his past. In The House That Build Me, Miranda Lambert sings about knocking on the door of the humble home where she grew up and asking the current owner to let her take a look at the little back bedroom where she learned to play guitar, and the old oak tree where her favorite dog is buried. Something inside her is missing, and she can’t get it back without those reminders of who she is and where she came from. The lyrics just nailed Shane for me. There’s a scene in the story where Sinclair takes Shane on a tour of his childhood home, because she realizes he needs to reclaim a sense of belonging. I tried hard to capture the emotions of that song in the scene, by weaving Shane’s bittersweet memories with tangible evidence of his history, and giving him a chance to (literally!) measure how far he’s come since those days. Other songs that went into heavy rotation while I wrote this story include: Sam Hunt’s acoustic version of Make You Miss Me – Acoustic version…very important! The album version is great, but the acoustic version is downright haunting. Even better on Vevo, ‘cause…scruffy-faced Sam Hunt, in a t-shirt and backward ball-cap, playing a keyboard and singing his heart out. That shit needs to be seen! I give the song a little shout out during a scene where Shane and Sinclair make out in his car. Rihanna’s Love On the Brain – This song captured Sinclair’s drama from the moment Shane walks back into town. To paraphrase, ‘The man is no good for me. I should keep my distance, or he’ll break my heart again, but daaayuuum!’ All of Me by John Legend – The story actually starts with this song. Sinclair looks across her sister’s wedding reception to see Shane cutting through the crowd toward her. She hasn’t laid eyes on him in ten years, and isn’t real excited about breaking the trend, but I liked the juxtaposition of the ‘we complete each other’ message in the song and her ‘stay away from me’ reaction to his sudden reappearance in her life. In My Life by The Beatles – This song is playing when Shane holds Sinclair in his arms for the first time in ten years. They dance at her sister’s wedding, and there’s a lot of chemistry there—and a lot of stuff not being said—while in the background Paul McCartney is filling the silence with simple, profound words about finding the love of your life. It was another chance to foreshadow everything Shane’s about to come to realize about the woman standing in front of him. Admittedly eclectic, but hopefully effective! Enjoy the story and the tunes!! xoxo,
Sam

How We Fall Release Blitz
Itâs not always about how we fall- itâs about where we end up once we land.
I remember the very first time I laid eyes on Cole Lincoln. It still feels like yesterday when he stumbled into my life with his messy brown hair and dark eyes. Even though I was only ten years old at the time, I knew right then and there that he was going to change everything.
From that point on Cole and I were always togetherâinseparableâand I naively believed weâd be best friends forever. But forever didnât last nearly as long as I expected.
We grew up and grew apart, life driving the distance between us, but my love for Cole never faltered. Even long after he moved away, leaving me and our little town behind, I still carried a piece of him with me every single day. Because Cole wasnât just my childhood best friend- the boy who knew me better than anyone else in the whole world. He was also my first love- a part of my very core.
When a tragic death brings us face to face again after six years, every single memory comes rushing to the surface. Only this is not the boy I fell in love with all those years ago. The man before me is hardened, intimidating, and so damn sexy I practically melt when those dark eyes meet mine for the first time in six years.
And like the first time he walked into my life, I know with complete certainty that everything is about to change.

My name is Kristina. My past is violent and dark, complex and complicated. I wasn't living, I was struggling to survive. And years passed before I finally mustered the courage to say out loud. "I am a victim." I found salvation from the violence on a family farm. And my chaotic life finally steered toward normality. I didn't look for love, but it found me nonetheless. One look at Viktor – a beautiful man with a magical voice – was enough to sway my world. And beside him, I finally started to live... Sexy snippet: My insides are squirming, contracting, and increasingly yearning for his flesh as hard as steel. I moan imploringly. He smiles and his warm breath travels down my femininity. My thighs are shaking, my stomach trembling. His tongue lazily plows my groove. Up and down. Every touch is gentle and careful, the rhythm controlled. Everything he does is dedicated only to one goal – to take me into a world of ecstasy by worshipping me. "Giiive me..." I wail. He lets out a guttural growl and straightens up abruptly. He turns me over, grabs a pillow, and puts it under my stomach. He leans forward, presses his nose into my hair and whispers in my ear. "Do you know what you do to me when you beg me like that?" Oh, fuck! The raw dominance in his voice makes my pulse race. My fists feverishly clutch the soft cotton sheets. I'm waiting – with my face and chest pressed against the mattress, my back curved in an arch, and my butt high in the air. I'm exposed. My breathing is heavy. I patiently wait for what will happen next. He straddles me. His large hand appears before my eyes, right next to mine. His strength mesmerizes me. The decisive movements with which he unconditionally carries out his will awaken a primal desire – a desire to be possessed, by him and nobody else. AUTHOR LINKS:

My head throbs by the time I get there, and my insides are writhing. I rest my hand against my lower stomach and grab a basket before calling James to complain. “I swear,” I tell him as I grab a bottle of painkillers. “It’s like this entire day has been cursed.” He snickers. “Curse. Get it? Curse?” I roll my eyes, even though he can’t see me. “Laugh it up. Meanwhile, it feels as if someone is playing Battleship in my uterus.” “Poor Chessie bear. At least we know why you were in such a foul mood.” A flush washes over my cheeks. “Yeah.” Lie. Lie. Lie. A tub of salted caramel gelato makes its way into the basket. “Tell me you’re getting some gelato,” James says. I smile. “Just grabbed it.” “Salted caramel?” “You know it.” I find the feminine products aisle and search for my brand. “I’m going to go home, take a long bath with my gelato, and forget this fucking day.” Forget Finn. “And then I’m going to go on Amazon and buying a freaking year’s supply of tampons so I don’t have to make these kinds of emergency runs anymore.” A low, deep chuckle rumbles from behind me, and all the tiny hairs lift on my arms. “But you’ll still need your gelato,” a familiar--fuck me, seriously?—voice points out. My insides swoop even as my cheeks burn. “Who is that?” James asks in my ear. I slowly turn on one heel. “The plague,” I say, glaring up at Finn Mannus’s smiling face. “From asshat to plague.” Finn scrunches up his brow. “I’m not sure if that’s a step down or a tie.” “Who is that?” James nearly yells now. I don’t take my eyes off Finn. “I’ll call you back.” James’s squawks of protest cut off as I hit the end button. “Are you stalking me, Mannus?” Finn a rests his hands low on his lean hips. “Having a healthy amount of conceit myself, I have to admire yours, but no, buttercup. My buddy Woodson lives a few blocks away. It’s poker night. I’m stocking up on beer.” It’s only then I notice a twelve pack tucked under his other arm. “And tampons?” I ask, with a pointed look around the aisle we’re standing in. “Not tonight,” he says easily. “Though we used to keep a pack of them back in college. Light flows were perfect for stopping up bloody noses.” A snort escapes me. “Now there’s a visual.” Somehow, I’ve taken a step closer to him. He’s freshly showered, the golden brown strands of his hair still damp at his temples. And I wonder if he’s just come from the gym or practice. “So back in college you went and bought these tampons?” “Nah,” he says with a cheeky smile. “I’d ask one of the girls hanging around to get me some.” “Of course you did.” My nose wrinkles with annoyance. “Give me a little credit, Chess. I’d buy them now if I had to.” “Hmm…” I eye him, trying not to return his smile. If only because it’s more fun when he teases. “So why are you in this aisle now, if not for potential nosebleed needs?” “That’s easy.” He steps closer, a warm wall of muscle and clean scent. “I heard your voice.” For a second I just blink. “You recognized my voice?” His gaze darts over my face as if he’s trying to get a read on why I’m gaping at him. “Not to be…ah…rude, but you’re loud when you talk on the phone.” “Yeah, but… You recognized it.” We’d only just met. It occurs to me that I’d recognized his both times he’d snuck up on me. Then again, his voice is distinctive, flowing like hot honey when he’s relaxed or hammering down like iron to rock when he’s taking command of a situation. A soft flush of pink tints the tips of his ears. If I wasn’t staring at him, I might have missed it. He shifts his weight. “Was I not supposed to?” “No. Yes.” I shake my head and laugh. “I don’t know.” He grins then. “You’re cute when you’re flustered.” “I’m not flustered.” I am.Kristen Callihan is an author because there is nothing else she’d rather be.
