The Martinelli's are back and just as intense as ever. I was anticipating Ivie and Shane's story after the first book in the series and Kristen Proby did not let me down.

I liked Ivie so much. She was smart, brave and savvy. And my admiration grew for her the more the book went on and her strength started to show as she faced what was in front of her head on. While it was difficult for her to admit a lot of the pain from her past, she knew she had to and that she was safe with Shane. Mmmmm Shane. With Ivie in danger all of his protective instincts came out. His need to keep her safe. His need to figure out who was behind it all. With these two in close quarters it was only a matter of time before they gave into the months-long flirtation they had going on.

But as things escalated and Ivie's situation became more dire, the feelings got deeper. My heart was racing as the puzzle clicked together and everything came to a head. Simply put, Ivie and Shane's friends-to-lovers romance was addictive. Secrets. Lies. Mystery. Lust. Deception. Love. And a surprise appearance from another of Kristen Proby's characters combined to make Headhunters unputdownable. And holy crap that ending!! I can not wait to see what happens to this family next.
