Dr. Hannah Walker is starting her first year as a Visiting Professor at Thurston University. A graduate of Thurston, she's familiar with the town, has friends, and is waiting on her perfect job to open at Wilmington College. She's run from every serious relationship she's had in pursuit of her career goals.

Igor Finley recently moved back to his hometown after his last military deployment and discharge because of his PTSD. He's returning to Thurston University for his degree, so he can provide for his two young children.

There were fireworks when the two met, but will they be able to keep them out of the classroom? Will Hannah stay in Thurston once she realizes her feelings, or will she be carried away like a Breeze towards her career goals?

3.5 Star Review by Ashley

This book cover was stunning enough to make me read the synopsis and after that I went ahead and one-clicked Breeze. Overall, I enjoyed Ashley Hampton's debut and I look forward to watching her writing progress because the bones are there to make something really special out of this series. That being said, I found this one a touch repetitive at times but not so much so that it detracted from the story as a whole.

I really liked Hannah and her determination to get what she wanted out of her teaching career. The job of her dreams is within her reach and she isn't going to let anything or anyone stand in the way of her getting there. Until fate waves her glittery wand...That brings me to Igor Finley, her new student who just happens to be the hottest thing she has laid her eyes on in years. The chemistry was there between them from the moment they locked eyes and it never wavered, even when Hannah tried to ignore it. Thank goodness Fin didn't stand for it and Hannah came around. Making some surprising, yet necessary moves on her end to make sure their relationship could continue to blossom. Fin stole the show for me and it didn't hurt that he had two little sidekicks that wormed their way into my heart with their sweet innocence.

I can't forget about the rest of the Thurston crew either! Everyone from Will and Avery to Nate and Stacy played a part in the development of Hannah and Fin's relationship and enhanced the story with their bond of friendship. When push came to shove, Hannah reverted to her old ways leaving no one unaffected by her actions. However, true to his swoon-worthy self, Fin stepped up big time and proved how much he was invested.

Hampton propelled me into a book that was realistic and dealt with real life situations. The small things weren't overlooked and they made the big picture that much more powerful. Because love is powerful and healing and changes you. It changed Fin and Hannah. The ending of this one had me smiling and letting out a happy sigh. I am looking forward to the next installment in the series which will feature the mysterious Nate.
