Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near. Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again. When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined. I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man. The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain. When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only. He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time. But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for. I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too. 5 Heart Review by Ashley I don't know how Brittainy C. Cherry does this to me every. Single. Time. I read one of her books but she manages to somehow break and mend my heart. Reading Eleanor and Grey was like someone took the feels truck and ran me over. Then backed up and hit me again. And again and again and again. And I'm not even upset by it. I wanted more of that. I LOVED Eleanor. Even with her broken heart she was full of grace and class and gratitude. But it was thanks to Greyson, that she found a reason to smile though the tears and pain. Oh Grey. The sweet boy who loved his Ellie with all that he was. The broken man that didn't know how to live with his pain. The way that Eleanor showed up, and continued to show up, even on the bad days, even when it was beyond hard proved just how good she was. Her patience and joy rubbed off on everyone. And day by day, as Grey's kids laughed and smiled again, Grey found himself doing the same. But when it became too real, it was Eleanor that made the hard choice, the only choice. In true Brittainy C. Cherry form, Eleanor and Greyson's second and third and fourth chance love story was beautifully written and I hung on every word. Eleanor & Grey is one of those book you want to devour but at the same time you want time to stop so you can savor every beautiful morsel. And that ending, I didn't even realize I was crying the happy tears, it was that perfect. 5 Heart Review by Lorena Oh my god this story warmed my heart. This is exactly the type of story I needed right now. It was refreshing, it was beautiful, oh my god was this story beautiful. To have a love like Eleanor and Grey was just out of this world. How do you continue on a journey you never in a million years thought you'd get back to and that you never thought you would cross paths again with your first love of all people! This couldn't be a more perfect story. The way it started and ended had me shattered, crippled, devastated and after all this sadness, the light started shining and my heart started to beat again and my love grew more and more for these two broken souls. They were it for each other, they were each other's crutch. And let's not forget the kids in the story. They may have had flaws, but who doesn't!! In the end they became the perfect family, and Eleanor and Grey couldn't have asked for anything better than what they had. I am looking forward and hoping that Ms. Cherry will give us Landon and Shay's story next ;) This love story will definitely stay with me for a long time because I haven't read a book like this one before!
