Her story started long before she started working at The Sky Launch...

Screw fairytales. The only reward Gwen Anders got from her rough childhood was a thick skin and hard heart. She’s content with her daily grind managing a top NYC nightclub—Eighty-Eighth Floor. So hers isn’t a happily ever after. She doesn’t believe in those anyway.

Then she meets J.C.

The rich, smooth talking playboy is the sexiest thing that Gwen has ever encountered, but she’s not interested in a night-in-shining latex. But when a family tragedy pushes her to the brink, it’s J.C. who’s there to teach her a new method of survival, one based on following primal urges and desires. His no-strings-attached lessons require her to abandon her constant need for control. Her carefully built walls are obliterated.

Gwen discovers there’s a beautiful world outside her prison. Freedom is exhilarating—and terrifying. When she starts to feel something for J.C., she fears for her heart. Especially as she realizes that he has secrets of his own. Secrets that don't want to set him free.

This series can be read alone or with the Fixed Trilogy.

Wow, Laurelin Paige really has delivered another spectacular book.

Another series worth reading.

Gwen and CJ sure were one hot item. Both were so mysterious in their own way and even though they seemed so wrong for each other (at least to me) they fit perfectly together.

Gwen was pretty much the type of woman who was cold, frigid. She had a painful past that seemed to haunt her and her older sister took care of her and her younger brother as they were growing up. She didn't trust men and she definitely did not do love. She was not prepared for CJ though when he came marching into her life.

CJ has a secret but he can't divulge it. He has found Gwen to be intriguing and that has driven him towards her. He has never needed to ask for sex, women flocked to him, but something about Gwen really pulled him towards her and then he finally asked her if they could have an arrangement -- a sexual arrangements. No attachments, no love -- just casual sex between them.

But what never one expected was to start falling for each other. They started breaking down each other's walls and little by little they started to know things about each other, even though they were breaking their own rules. But sometimes rules are meant to be broken and in this case, they definitely were.

The intrigue and secrets that kept coming at me were so addicting and I just couldn't and wouldn't put my device down. I had to find out what it was that CJ was hiding and for the sudden change of heart he had with Gwen.

This book will drive you mad (in a good way) and it will definitely keep you guessing constantly on what in the world is happening next!

I am so looking forward to reading Find Me.

I have read the Fixed Trilogy and have to say that it was one of my best reads at that time. It is still considered one of my favorites and now that I've read Free Me, I'm adding this one to my favorite's list because Laurelin doesn't disappoint when it comes to her writing. She's an outstanding author and I have to say that she's on the top of my list of favorite authors.

Five outstanding stars for this fabulous book!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
NY Times & USA Today Bestselling author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman and Friedman Literary.
