I have been waiting for Arro and Mac's story to unfold since the Adair family saga began and Samantha Young didn't let me down at all. It was everything I wanted and so much more. Plus catching up with the rest of the family is always a treat.

I adored Arro. She was strong, confident and brave. And in love with Mac, her brother's best friend for longer than she can remember. Oh Mac. He was strong, patient, protective but also a mess. Carrying around years worth of guilt and anger towards himself over things that were quasi out of his control.

There was no denying the yearning these two had towards each other. Arro wore her want and hurt on her sleeve. Mac tried, and failed to hide his attraction. But when threats that were too reminiscent of what happened with Lachlan started coming in targeting Arro, all bets were off. Protective Mac was on the case. If only his own demons weren't coming back to haunt him and Arro would let him get close after what went down...

Emotional. Dramatic. Tender. Sexy. Twisted. Dangerous. Arro and Mac's friends to lovers, second chance romance had me hanging on every word.
