Piggybacker
-- Are you a book reviewer? -- SNEAK PEEKS: “I didn’t mean to shoot you,” Taylor says, pointing toward the arm he’s holding. That’s when I see the gun is still in her hand. “Besides, it’s only a graze. Don’t be such a baby.” Taylor demands, “Just let her go and we can forget this all happened.” -- “What do I have to do?” -- Abruptly, I plummet through the air. Panic sets in and my already racing heart begins pumping like a steam engine about to explode as I slash through heavy fog and closer to the ground. Dead people can’t die, I remind myself. The fall cannot kill me.

Catastrophe Queen, an all-new hilarious office romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Emma Hart is available now!
It’s not you. It’s me. No, seriously. It is me. Not only does my name literally mean “unfortunate,” but that’s the story of my life. Everything I touch turns to cr*p. An apartment fire—that I swear I was not responsible for—means I’m living back at home with my s*x-mad parents. Yay, me! Which is why I need my new job as personal assistant to Cameron Reid to get back on my feet. Three months in this job and I can move back out and, hopefully, remember to turn off my flat iron once in a while. Ahem. On paper, my job is easy. Make coffee. Book appointments. Keep everything in order. Until I walk in on my boss, half-naked, wearing nothing but the kind of tiny white towel that dreams are made of. Now, nothing is easy—except our mutual attraction. But he’s my boss, and you know what they say about mixing work and pleasure: unless you do p*rn, it’s just not worth it. Or is it? Download your copy today! About Someone Like You:Dorian Anson is my friend. She's the only person who's ever questioned my smiles. My jokes. The one liners that have our friends shaking their heads at me.
I've lived my life on those smiles. They never failed me, until her.
I wasn't counting on her when I designed my front. I never imagined the possibility of someone like her coming into my life. The wild hair, the kind smile and those eyes that see everything. She was the girl with the beautiful soul, pretty face and whole heart. But hearts aren't made to stay whole. I watched hers break. I watched her tears fall. I watched as her world tilted on its axis and shattered at her feet. This girl. She sees me, all parts of me—the truths I try to hide, the secrets I bury. What's mine and what's not. She sees it all, and I can only hope the truth isn't too much. That she won't walk away. That she won't leave me...alone. We both have a past. We have ghosts. We have fears. I'm hoping that somehow in the end, we'll have each other too. I've never needed anyone before her, and I know I'll never want anyone else after her. There is no one like her. My pretty girl. Dorian.

Brittany's rating: 5 of 5 stars Ughhhhhh that ending!!! I was reading, turning the pages quickly because it was so good, and then I turned the last page and I was like, "It's over??? I thought I had more book left!!" *insert crying emoji here* But I will say that I knew who the bad guy was from the very beginning, and I'm usually bad at that. It's semi-obvious who it is, so maybe that's the reason I knew, but it made me anxious just waiting for that person to strike. I absolutely love Oskar. I think he's hilarious. It's refreshing getting to see him be so protective of someone that he loves. And the sex between them is off the charts! I like getting to see the other guys of Blake Security through a newcomer's eyes. Seeing how someone that doesn't know any of them views them is really fun. I am now very anxiously awaiting book two, which can't come fast enough! View all my reviews

4 Star Review by AshleyI'm no stranger to Natasha Madison's writing but Hollywood Playboy was a real treat. This was enemies to lovers on another level. The disdain was dripping off the page. I could feel it coming from both sides. SCANDALOUS!!! What else should I have expected when a Hollywood superstar meets his match in a reporter. I liked Jessica's fire. Her style (the wardrobe in this book is insane!). Her spunk. How she went after what she wanted. How she didn't back down. How even when thrust into a situation she didn't want to be in, she made the most if it. Especially when it came to Tyler. The hottest thing in Hollywood. But he was more than the media made him out to be. Underneath the smirk and charm and strut was a guy who just wanted to be seen for who he was, not what he was. Or what he could give someone. The tension between Jessica and Tyler was so thick you could cut it with a spoon. It was only a matter of time before things between them exploded. And when it did...fireworks. But it was the small moments, the quiet looks and glances, the finger glances and flowers that solidified what was blooming between them was more than lust. But jealousy is an ugly emotion. It causes seemingly sane people to act without thinking. And the fallout for Tyler and Jessica was massive. Trust and friendships decimated. Hearts broken. Nobody was safe from Jessica's tears or Tyler's wrath. But that ending...sigh, smile, swoon! Natasha Madison took me around the world and back again in Hollywood Playboy. There was adventure and drama and steam and humor. Tyler and Jessica are the proof that enemies can make the best lovers.
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her…

Excerpt
CADE
I heard her as soon as I entered the building.
âItâs a classic, sonny boy, and you donât fuck with the classics. Do you hear me? Or has that combover blocked your ears?â
I couldnât help but grin. The voice belonged to Sybil Calley, my formidable, charismatic grandmother. Seventy-something-years old, she was a force to be reckoned with and very rarely backed down in an argument. Any poor soul who took her on was in for a fierce fight, and by the sounds of it, Tito was about to feel the full force of hurricane Sybil.
âItâs blasphemy! Thatâs what it is. Blasphemy! Why, I bet Deborah Kerr is rolling in her grave, God rest her beautiful soul. How dare you stain such a beautiful story with your weirdness, you rude little boy!â
As I rounded the corner, Sybil and Tito came into view. Tito was standing with his back to the wall with his arms in the air, while my formidable grandmother yelled at him. He looked terrified.
âGrandma Calley,â I interrupted, trying to contain my grin. Seeing me walk in, Tito looked relieved and relaxed his arms.
Sybil wasted no time in getting straight to the point. She held up a DVD so I could see the cover. âDid you know about this?â
I took it from her and couldnât help but grin at the cover. Pure spank bank bullshit that sells. But definitely not what you wanted your grandmother looking at in front of you.
âHow on Earth did you even know about it?â I asked.
âI might be edging close to buying the farm, Cade, but Iâm not quite dead yet. You know I like to keep my finger on the pulse. Itâs Tuesday, and I know you drop into this pit of despair on Tuesdays, so I came down to speak with you.â She gave Tito a withering look. âRan into this little twerp and found this . . .â
She ripped the DVD out of my hands and held it up. The cover was a rip-off of An Affair To Remember, except it was titled, An Anus to Remember. Gay porn. It was a bestseller.
âItâs a disgrace, Cade. An absolute disgrace.â She pushed the DVD into Titoâs chest. âYou should be ashamed of yourself.â
âAinât nothing wrong with a bit of man-on-man love, Grandma,â I said, trying to diffuse the situation. Sybil could be unpredictable at times.
âI know that! Man on man. Woman on woman. I donât give a goddamn! What I do care about is taking a classic and turning it into smut. Now that is not right, Cade. Not right. You donât fuck with the classics.â
âCade, this canât keep happening,â Tito moaned.
Sybil turned back to Tito. âIâm seventy-three years old but I ainât dead yet, sonny. Iâm the original biker queen and Iâm still packing as much attitude as I did back when my old man started the Kings of Mayhem more than fifty years ago. If you ever mess with one of the classics again and put your perverted stamp all over it, I will knock you on your ass, do you hear me?â
Again, I struggled to contain my grin.
Tito, however, looked unraveled. And he had every cause to be because I had no doubt Sybil meant what she said. She was a classy lady who never left the house without taming her bright red hair and putting on a thick coat of red lipstick. But she was a biker queen first. Tough. Fierce. With a mean right hook.
You didnât fuck with Sybil Calley.
Taking pity on Tito, I slunk an arm around Grandmaâs shoulders and guided her toward the front door.
âNow, Grandma, you canât come in here and get up in Titoâs grill about things. Head Quarters is off limits to MC women, remember?â
That rule had come about after Sybil had swept through Head Quarters like a hurricane and upset an entire cast of actresses on the set of a movie we were making called Some Like It Hard. Sybil was a die-hard Marilyn fan and managed to put the fear in all the actresses who were on set, leading to a mass walk-out and halting production for three days.
Not that Sybil paid any attention to rules. She was the original rule breaker. She did what she wanted, when she wanted. And if it suited her, sheâd blame her forgetfulness on her age to get away with it, despite being sharp as a tack.
She waved off the mention of the rules.
âIf that little pervert canât handle a seventy-year-old woman, then he needs to take a cup of cement and harden the fuck up.â She glanced over her shoulder and narrowed her eyes at Tito as we were walking away, and muttered, âlittle pussy.â
I tried not to laugh because that would only encourage her, so I asked, âGrandma, why are you here?â
She relaxed and smiled. âNow, Cade, you know youâre my favorite grandsonââ
âYou say that to all your grandsons . . .â
â. . . and I love you. So I wanted to see how you were feeling about Indy coming home.â
âThis isnât her home anymore, Grandma. She lives in Seattle now.â
âThank you, Captain Obvious. But you know what I mean.â Her face softened as she took my hand. âI know the affect that girl has on you. I just wanted to make sureâ¦â
âWhat?â
She smacked me hard on the arm. âThat youâre not going to be an ass about it.â
I couldnât help but grin. Good on Grandma Sybil.
âA lot of water has passed under the bridge, Grandma. Iâm not an eighteen-year-old psychopath anymore.â
Sybil didnât look convinced. âYouâre a Calley and weâre passionate sonsofbitches. When we love, we love big, and if that love dies, then we die a big death along side it. I should know. When your Pappy died, my heart went with him.â
I couldnât help but smile at my feisty grandmother.
âIâm sure Jury wouldnât like to hear you say that,â I said.
Jury was my grandmaâs sixty-year-old boyfriend.
âJury isnât the love of my life. Your grandpappy was. Jury knows Iâm just after his body.â
I raised an eyebrow at her. âGrandma, there are certain things a grandson should never hear his grandmother say, and thatâs right up there with them.â
She waved me off. âThe body may be old and the reflection in the mirror might be slightly different, but the mind is still twenty years old. I might not be able to do it the way I used to butââ
I stuck my fingers in my ears. âLalalalalalalalala . . .â
She rolled her eyes. âFine. Iâll let you think that I donât do the things I still did when I was twenty.â
âSeriously, Grandma . . .â I begged, pained by the mental images.
Sighing dramatically, she changed the subject. âYour mom is making dinner for Lady and Indy. Somehow I was extended an invitation. I assume youâll be there.â
To say Sybil and my mom didnât exactly get along would be an understatement. The civil unrest had ended years ago, but in its wake was a frosty cold war of mammoth proportions. Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law didnât exactly see eye to eye.
I nodded. âIâm heading over there now.â
âFine. Iâll follow you. Lord knows Iâve had my fair share of pussy and cock today.â
I opened the front door for her and shook my head. âJesus Christ, Sybil. My ears are bleeding.â

Kings of Mayhem by Penny Dee
Brittany's rating: 5 of 5 stars That ending though!!! I am super excited for book two of this series, because wow! What a cliffhanger!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was rooting for Cade and Indy from the very beginning. It was beyond sweet, the looks into the past, particularly when the two were young. You could tell that from their very first meeting when they were five that they were meant to be together. I think their story was written amazingly well. It was just the right amount of sweetness with just the perfect amount of betrayal. The most delicious recipe for an unbelievable ride towards togetherness. I love all of the other guys in the MC, particularly Isaac (*shoots laser beams from my eyes at the author*). I thought that the next book in the series would be about some of the other guys, but it's also in Cade and Indy's points-of-view, which is perfectly okay with me, because I love the two of them, and I know their story is not over. I never thought my first kiss would be on my wedding day. But here I stand, clutching a bouquet of pale pink roses behind the doors of a Las Vegas chapel, and at the end of the aisle is the absolute last man I imagined would be waiting for me. Thomas Bane. Bestselling author. Notorious bad boy. Savagely handsome, dark as sin, chiseled as stone. And somehow, my soon-to-be husband. Marry him, and I’ll land my dream job. Save him, and I’ll walk away with everything I’ve ever wanted. All I have to do is remember it’s all for show. None of it is real, no matter how real it feels. But first, I have to survive the kiss. I'm standing and doing the slow clap with the head nod because Staci Hart has done it again. This installment of the Red Lipstick Collation is everything I want in a romance. Wit.
Awkwardness.
Charm.
Humor.
Two (or more) people to love.
Someone to dislike.
Anticipation.
Heat.
Conflict.
Heart.
But back to the start...Amelia. I loved her sweetness. Her shyness. Her kindness. Her innocence. Her good heart. How she was a total book nerd. How despite the rumors and speculation, she saw something good in Thomas when they first met. Even though Thomas was a bit of a mess, I couldn't help but like him. Dedicated. Fiercely loyal. Creative. Protective. Yes, his life had spiraled a bit out of control but with the help of his trusty best friend, and brother, he concocted a foolproof plan. Not part of the plan...falling for his wife. He couldn't help it, though, Amelia made everything better. From his craft to his happiness, when she was around, he soared. Not part of the plan. Amelia's boss hidden intentions. It put Amelia in a terrible position. She had a big choice to make which in reality, wasn't much of a choice at all. But the fallout left everyone reeling. From start to finish, even when my heart was breaking for both of them, Work in Progress had me grinning. Staci Hart delivered a story that was so much more than two lonely hearts falling in love for the first time. It was doing what's right even when it's hard. Even when it means swallowing your pride. Even when it hurts. It was family and sacrifice and friendship and love. Gah! That ending!! I am beyond ready for the next, and sadly, final book in the RLC series.
Excerpt:The hall bathroom door opened, consequently stopping the earth’s orbit and flinging me into space for lack of gravity. Thomas Bane stepped out of the doorway in slow motion, propelled by a cloud of steam that licked at his glistening body like it wanted to taste him. His hair was black, wet, curling and dripping in rivulets down the planes and valleys of his expansive chest and abs and narrow hips. He had that thing, the trough of muscle bracketing his hips that caught sluicing water and carried it in an angle that would eventually reach that unknown terrain beneath his towel. I saw the ghost of that terrain, the long, cylindrical bulge that was substantial enough to clearly state its presence, even through the thick towel. He smirked, dragging his hand through his wet hair. I salivated, watching droplets of water roll down his forearm and collect on the tip of his erotic elbow. “You’re up,” he said. I blinked, not knowing when I’d set my coffee down or how many minutes—hours? years?—had passed in the time I spent ogling his body. He sauntered into the room like he wasn’t basically naked. I tried unsuccessfully not to stare at his knees, the place where his ropy thigh connected, the angular muscles of his calves, the curve of his ankle, the broad pad of his foot. He was perfectly proportioned. Michelangelo would have carved him twenty feet tall, and women would have worshipped at his perfect feet. Gus bounced when he saw Tommy, his toys forgotten. And when Gus took off running, Tommy stopped, eyes widening and hands splayed in front of him. “Gus, no,” he commanded. To no one’s surprise, Gus did not listen. He barked once, snagged the hem of Tommy’s towel, and whipped it off him in a single tug that exposed every inch of skin on Thomas Bane’s ridiculous body. Thank God my coffee was already on the counter. I’d have gotten third-degree burns. For a split second, Tommy was frozen there in all his natural glory, poised to run after his dog, his face drawn and eyes locked on the sweet, disobedient dog. He wasn’t paying any attention to me. I, however, gave him my full and undivided consideration. His thighs were a mass of muscle so hard and defined, the tops were planes that came to a notch at his knee and a point where it met his hip. My eyes caught that trough that had before disappeared and followed it where it pointed—straight to the thatch of dark hair and the member nestled there. The very thick, very long, mostly limp member. If I stared at it a second longer, I was going to faint—my vision was already dim, my pulse pumping so hard, I could feel it in my neck, at the back of which a cold sweat had broken. But he shifted to run after Gus, who was galloping away, trailing the towel behind him. “Dammit, Gus! Gimme that!” Then it was the back of him I saw, his hair, the streaming water rolling down all the curves of his shoulders, his back, the valley of his spine, and down to the most perfect ass I’d ever seen in real life. Well, the only ass I’d ever seen in real life that wasn’t my own, and even that I couldn’t get a good look at without a mirror. Seriously, that ass. That perfectly sculpted ass, round and tight and curved in the sides, shifting from one side to the other as he ran after the damn dog. My gaze caught a tattoo on one ass cheek, and I squinted at it, trying to make it out. Tommy bent to snag the end of the towel—I caught sight of his sack and almost dissolved through the floor in an acidic puddle of embarrassment—but when he pulled, Gus spun around, ass in the air and tail wagging as he growled, pulling back. A string of obscenities left Tommy’s mouth, but I was still gaping and staring at his ass. I realized that I was laughing. It sounded like someone else in a different room. I wondered absently if this was how it felt to have a stroke.
About the Author Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
