Animal Attraction
Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo / Google Play -- Are you a reviewer? -- EXCERPT: What kind of jerk didn’t give back a person’s dog? The PR man said he had personally given Corbett the message only a couple of hours after she’d called. As the days continued to pass with no word, Maggie grew increasingly frustrated and even angry. Finally, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Kirby belonged with her and damned if she was going to let some immoral, spoiled, self-centered jerk who only pretended to be a nice guy for the public, get away with keeping her dog, even if he was an NHL player. After making the decision to hunt down the dog-napper herself, she had watched the video segment again, this time watching for clues as to where he lived. They mentioned Hillsborough. Of course. Very high-class neighborhood. That narrowed it down quite a bit. He dropped the name of an Italian restaurant he frequented that was “within easy walking distance” of his house. That narrowed it even further. She printed a map of the area and marked a three-block radius out from that restaurant. They showed a few seconds of him walking away from his house with the dogs on a leash and she froze the video and took a picture of the view. Then because he mentioned a team party he was hosting to watch the All-Star game, she decided to go to his house and accuse him of dog-napping in front of all his friends. With any luck, peer pressure would make him give up Kirby. Was it going to be horrid, shaming a Dragons player when for more than ten years she’d rooted for the team with all her heart as a hockey fan? Yes. Could she have gone to the media and exposed him the way Jade had suggested? Yes. But what it all came down to was she thought he was morally despicable and she wanted to tell him so to his face. She wanted the satisfaction of taking her dog away from him personally. It took her about fifteen minutes of search-cruising before she found his place. Looking toward downtown San Francisco, the view matched the photo. As she parked her car, the realization hit her that she was about to barge in on what might be the entire Dragons hockey team. Before she’d arrived, all she’d focused on was getting Kirby back. She’d imagined herself going in and righteously claiming her dog. Her main emotion had been indignation. Now, a case of the jitters undermined her determination. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all. She looked up at the spectacular two-story house. The sprawling property looked as if Arts and Crafts architecture and Japanese landscaping had a baby. Lush mature trees cast shade over mossy rocks and boulders. The wooden bridge leading to the front door crossed an actual pond, complete with brightly colored koi fish. As she looked around and the luxuriousness of the neighborhood sunk in, the jitters progressed into near-panic. She’d passed the Sierra Point friggin’ Yacht Club on her way, for Pete’s sake. No. She would do this. Kirby was hers. Even if she couldn’t offer him posh digs like these, they belonged together. She’d had him since puppyhood. They had a bond that couldn’t and wouldn’t ever be broken. Even now, he was probably wishing he were home with her, cuddling on her old sofa watching reruns of Friends and eating microwave popcorn. She told herself the players were only people, like her. People with unusual, high-profile jobs and bodies like gods. She went up to the front door where a sign said, “Come on in. Hope you brought beer.” Gathering her courage, she knocked anyway. No one answered. And it was kind of quiet. Maybe the party hadn’t started yet. She tried the door and found it unlocked. Before entering, she took a picture of the sign, because if this devolved and the police were called, she wanted evidence that, technically, she was invited in. “Hello?” she called hesitantly, crossing the threshold into the foyer. The house was just as gorgeous on the inside as it was on the outside. She’d seen it on the video, but in person, it felt richer and more personal. A San Francisco Dragons player actually lived here. Spencer Corbett occasionally sat on that couch. He walked on this plush rug. He—gulp—was standing right there, staring at her.

Contemporary Romance
Hollywood is a temptress, a trickster, a soul-stealing devil. I married an A-list player, knowing I come second place to his craft. But Lucas and I are a golden couple, a modern-day fairy tale. I’ve never doubted what we built...until the sudden death of Lucas’s best friend has scandal rocking the Hills and shaking the foundation of our relationship. I chose Lucas as my safe haven...he chose the role of a lifetime. For the next three months, I’ll share my nights with a stranger, watching as he buries his pain, immersed in his role and living as someone else. We’ve done this before. I tell myself it’s just another movie, and he’ll return to me. I should’ve known this time would be different. To get my husband back, I’ll need the strength of ten men. As it turns out, I’ll have to go through two. 4 Heart Review by AshleyIt is no secret that I love Kate Stewart's writing. She was a way of making me swoon and laugh and sweat and ache like no one else. But holy what in the world did I just read? Method started with a bang and I was dying to know how things got to that point. I have to start with Mila. She was such a strong woman. But also kind and vulnerable. She loved her husband fiercely and unconditionally. She understood the rules. But when Lucas starts breaking them, all bets were off. Did he have his reasons, sure. Lucas was so consumed with his grief he couldn't see the future he'd always wanted was crumbling. Does that make what he did, what he put Mila through acceptable? Nope. And she let him know it. The alternating timelines only added to the overall feeling of- where did this all go wrong? Seeing Lucas and Mila fall in love gave me the butterflies. Seeing Hollywood's golden couple fall apart upped the feel factor. It was all building up to this, and when the bottom dropped out, and all the puzzle pieces clicked into place, everything changed. I was as shattered as Mila. Kudos Kate Stewart- you got me good with this Method. I was equal parts confused and hopeful and anxious as I read. Mostly because I had absolutely no idea how everything between Lucas and Mila was going to pan out. I was hoping for the fairy tale HEA but what I got was so much more than I expected. It was an ending even Hollywood couldn't write.

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo -- EXCERPT: “Well, the alternative was pretty awful, so there’s that.” Luis grimaced. “It’s grim work sometimes, and it’s sure not easy, but it’s worth it. We’re getting our happily ever after, so I’ll do whatever it takes.” He would, too. He’d always been willing to work for his happiness with Donovan as long as there was hope. He had his concerns about working on a case together again, but they’d get through it. Like the alternative to recovery Donovan had mentioned, the other option was too awful to contemplate. “So I’ve got to ask,” Donovan said after a few seconds. “Freetown State Forest has a reputation, right?” “Place is full of ghosts.” Luis chuckled. He didn’t need to ask what Donovan was getting at. “Most of them were kind of static though. I guess the technical term is residual? They weren’t interacting with the modern living world at all. They were just kind of re-creating the past. It was kind of interesting to see that past, but not helpful. Some of them were a little more aware. One chased after the pickup truck the other day, when you first joined in. Or when we first joined in, depending on your point of view. Anyway, he chased after us for a while, yelling at us to ‘Get off his lawn.’ ” “Wait, what?” Donovan burst out laughing. “You’re joking.” “Nope. Angry old white guy sitting in an old lawn chair, drinking a beer. If it weren’t for the glow, and the fact that none of you could see him, I’d have thought he was alive. He chucked the beer at the truck, and another one appeared in his hand. If I have to be a ghost when I die, I aspire to that level of badassery.” Donovan pulled onto the highway. “Luis, you don’t even drink.” “I’ll throw something else then. Or I’ll start drinking ghost beers just so I can throw them at passersby.” Luis grinned. “I still feel like I’m lost at sea with all this ghost stuff, but I’m getting there.”

The Riverview Series, Book 1
Publisher: Y&R Publishing
Some call this river a taker of souls, a reaper. Sanguine is the Spanish word for blood and God knows plenty has been spilled in its murky depths. As Tina floats on her back, she couldnât help but feel its more of an artery, giving life to its limbs.
Not everyone would agree.
Tough as nails, Tina Foster, doesnât have time for a relationship. Sheâs far too busy running her family construction company. Tinaâs take charge attitude may intimidate some, but to others, sheâs a rock, a woman with a plan. Taming a heart this strong will take a man up for a challenge, and so far, there havenât been too many contenders worthy of her time.
Bo Galloway is returning to Riverview after a rough few years. Heâs home to take care of his grandmother and prays for a chance at redemption and a fresh start. Untrusting of most women, he doesnât know what to think of his new boss. He definitely didnât expect to admire Tina Foster. Boâs only shot at getting Tina to notice him is to be as strong as she is.
Just like the waters of the Sanguine, Bo and Tina must find their flow. Will the waters sweep away their only chance at true love, or nourish a relationship as steady as the river itself?
Excerpt
Four years ago, down by the river.
Hollyâs stomach turned cartwheels as she faced Justin Meyers and held his hands.
The minister cleared his throat and smiled. âRepeat after me. I, Holly Grace Combsâ¦â
âI, Holly Grace Combsâ¦â Thank God he said her name. She mightâve forgotten it, as nervous as she was.
âTake you, Justin Alexander Meyersâ¦â
âTake you, Justin Alexander Meyersâ¦â
âAs my lawfully wedded husband.â
Husband. Holy hell. Justin would be her husband; to have and to hold until death they did part. She said the words, meant them with all her heart. Justin had been the great love of her life since they were kids playing house together. College had pulled them apart the last couple years, but as he repeated his vows back to her, she knew this was the right thing to do.
The Sanguine River flowed behind them as the preacher pronounced them man and wife and Holly kissed her best friend since childhood in the presence of her brother and his flavor of the week.
âNow, yâall donât get me wrong,â said the preacher with a wide smile that shined as bright as the moon on the river. âI donât mind performinâ this ceremony âcause Iâve known it was cominâ since you was both runninâ âround the playground at church. But yâall might wanna tell your parents bâfore you file the actual paperwork. I usually donât do this without the license. But you got your witnesses present and itâs better than you kids livinâ in sin, I guess. Youâre married in Godâs eyes; thatâs what counts.â He slapped Justin on the back and left with Hunter and his girlfriend.
Holly and Justin stayed hand-in-hand, staring at each other with matching grins, the water flowing gently behind them. She loved his smile. She loved that special spark in his eyes when he smiled at her. No one else saw it. Only Holly.
âWeâre married,â he whispered.
âYeah, seems that way.â Holly met his dark hazel eyes and bit her bottom lip.
Justin ran his fingers over her cheek and through her hair. âI love you, Honeycomb. Always have, always will.â
âI love you too.â His hand cupped her cheek and she kissed his palm. âOur parents are going to freak out.â
âIâm not worried about it.â
She let out a huff of air. âYou never worry about anything.â Which was why she worried about everything.
They laughed and kissed until excitement turned into desire. Justin rented a hotel room down the river and they didnât come up for air until the next afternoon.
Holly lay naked in the bed, her legs intertwined with Justinâs. âWe have to get back to reality.â
Justin propped his head up on his elbow and frowned. âYeah. We should tell our parents, and our friendsâ¦and you should make sure Lance isnât going to be an issue.â
Chills vanquished all the elation from the last twenty-four hours. It was time to face her ex-boyfriend once and for all.

Excerpt: “Hold still, Uncle Luca.” My niece Emerson gives me her best glare, but she’s five and cute, so it makes me smile. “I’m trying,” I tell her, checking out the dark purple polish she’s trying to brush onto my nails. It’s not my inability to hold still that has more nail polish on my skin than my nails; it’s her technique. My “MANicure”, as my two nieces like to call it, started with my ten-year-old niece Cora and was then passed off to Emerson. “I found yogurt!” Cora says as she breezes into my bathroom. “It’s got strawberries in the bottom, but that’s okay. This face mask will make you smell good, Uncle Luca.” I try not to roll my eyes. It’ll be better than the last face mask they whipped up in the kitchen, which had butter in it and was a bitch to scrub off in the shower. “I have to leave for practice in twenty-five minutes,” I remind the girls. “And I still need a shower. So you have ten more minutes to beautify me.” “Will you paint my nails, too?” Cora asks me. “Sure.” I was shit at painting nails when I first became the legal guardian of my two nieces and one nephew a little over a year ago. With practice, though, I’ve gotten pretty damn good at it. “How long ‘til Gram and Gramps will be here?” Emerson asks, still painting my thumb nail even though she’s looking at me. “About four hours ‘til their flight lands, then maybe an hour for them to get to the house.” Her toothless grin of excitement makes me ignore the nail polish I can feel on my knuckle. “Emerson!” Cora yells. “You ruined it! That looks awful.” Cora picks up the bottle of purple nail polish and Emerson’s happy expression drops away. “Give it to me,” Cora huffs, holding out her hand for the handle to the polish. “I never should have let you do it.” “Hey, now.” I give Cora a sharp look. “She was doing her best.” Cora’s eyes flood with tears. Emerson edges closer to me, because she knows what happens when Cora gets upset. “He won’t let us do spa days if you mess it up!” Cora cries, glaring at her younger sister. “You ruined everything!” “You didn’t ruin anything,” I tell Emerson. “And Cora, I never said we wouldn’t do this again. We can do a big spa day after my road trip, okay?” Cora wipes her eyes and nods, still crying. It kills me to see her like this. As the oldest, she carries more of the weight from the deaths of her parents than her siblings. We’ve been in counseling for more than a year now, transitioning through the death of their mother, my sister-in-law Danielle, to the kids’ new life with me as their guardian. The clinical terms for what Cora struggles with—anxiety and controlling tendencies—are easier for me to handle than her breakdowns. The tension leaves the room and Emerson starts my massage, which is pretty much just her karate chopping my shoulders, while Cora slathers strawberry yogurt onto my face. “Is your shoulder better?” Cora asks me. “Yep, it’s all good.” “Think my mashage helped?” Emerson asks from behind me. She can’t pronounce some words, and I kinda hope that’ll last longer, because it gets me every time. “It definitely helped,” I tell her. I tweaked my shoulder at practice yesterday, and Cora noticed me wince when I was taking out the trash last night. She worries about every sinus cold and bruise I get. I can’t blame the kid. Her dad, my brother Matt, died serving in Iraq and her mom passed away from cancer a year later. “Hey, let’s get your nails painted, Cora,” I say after glancing at my watch. “I’ve only got five minutes til I have to hit the shower.” I turn to Emerson. “Can you go get the nail polish remover, peanut?” “Okay.” She races from the room, brown curls flying behind her.

This is what I've been waiting for since I started and fell head over feet in love with Abram and Mona. That's not to say that Penny Reid made it easy on them- oh no. The rollercoaster of missed moments continues in epic fashion. But it was all about the love here. The good days. The hard days. The lonely days. The communication. The connection. Sharing hopes and dreams and thoughts and fears. Working though all the time they missed. Balancing schedules that drew them in opposite directions. Different parts of the globe. Learning to navigate a relationship. Mending fences. Making plans for the future. I LOVED how Abram stood up for Mona. How he put her first even with his beyond hectic schedule. Hoe he taught her to see her worth though his eyes. And how Mona returned the favor when he needed her most. She saw the man with the tender heart, the man behind the lyrics. And that ending- swoon city. Time is the perfect conclusion to this wonderfully original series and exactly what these two needed and deserved.
