Yet, when she touched me, it all vanished... like an evanescent ink.” Drew Massey’s life is suddenly turned upside down. On the heels of a crippling breakup, he is determined to learn his lesson. Never trust. Never love. Never open up to that kind of pain again. In the midst of creating a permanent reminder of his vow, he is interrupted by the one person who has the power to heal his heart. At first glance, Raven Pelletier exudes confidence and independence. She’s tough as nails and willing to help Drew put his demons to rest by offering him a delicious distraction with a no-strings-attached physical release of the persistent bitterness that remains. Yet somehow, the need for her seeps through. The taste of her lingers. Everything about her teases and tempts him to go a little farther and get a little deeper. But when the withdrawn and reticent Ilsa starts working at the Copperline, Cody catches a glimpse of something nobody else seems to see - a beautiful, tenuous heart. Someone to shelter and shield. Her loneliness strikes a chord that resonates through his soul, no matter how much she tries to push him away. As her past comes to light, the promise of their love unravels. Cody realizes the extent of her tangled and tumultuous fear. Her secrets test his conscience, and he stumbles, unsure how to make sense of his stubborn honor in a world that isn’t always black and white. The pulse of life can shift in the blink of an eye, and ugly fallout can bring a man to his knees. But can the lies that break him make him stronger? Sibylla Matilde grew up in the mountain valleys of Southwest Montana exploring the dusty Old West gold country on the back of a horse. She attended a two-room schoolhouse beginning in 1st grade & had the same teacher until she changed schools after 7th. Beginning at about age 12, Sibylla discovered historical romance, feeding off of work of Jude Deveraux & Lisa Kleypas. She loves a book that can make the reader run the gamut of emotions, from the sweet glow of new love to gut-wrenching heartache. She is a true romantic & always has stories floating around in her head, living in a fantasyland until she writes them down to free them. Music is her emotional trigger. Growing up with a Wagnarian-loving mother, Sibylla was raised to treasure music that digs deep into the psyche, drawing out elation, sorrow, grief, desire. The soundtrack to her life includes many genres spanning centuries. She looooooooves Thirty Seconds to Mars (rather obsessively, actually… but, really, how can you NOT be crazy about this guy!? Jared Leto. Shhh. ) & pimps them out to all her friends through Spotify. She also delights in Met Opera HD broadcasts at her local movie theater & hopes (listening Met?) to someday see Diana Damrau reprise her role as Mozart’s Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte. Sibylla lives with her husband and hero who saved her from her own calamitous, young-adult self. He makes her laugh daily, even when things are tough. He’s proved to her that love really can heal a shattered soul. In 18 years, they have never had a fight, although argue regularly with their two teenage kids who have, unfortunately, inherited their father’s quick wit (unfortunate as it is a quick wit that Sibylla, herself, definitely does not possess – there is a reason she is a writer & not a stand-up comedian). They live a quiet life with their two weird little rescued Chiweenies. Wait… teenagers & little yap-dogs? OK, maybe not so quiet. Release Date: November 20, 2015 Synopsis: So much has changed. Title: The Lies We Live
Author: Emersyn Vallis
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 2016
One night.
One lie.
That’s all it took to take away my happily ever after.
I should be angry, but I’m not.
The one lie that was supposed to destroy me, gave me something in return. Actually, it gave me a lot...
I was a typical girl from a small town in her final year of college. I was one step closer to my hopes and dreams. Most importantly, I was about to tell my brother’s friend Mason how I felt.
He was the happily ever after.
See? Typical girl, typical life, typical love story, right?
But one night changed all that.
That one lie silenced me.
They say the truth shall set you free but my truth is a lie we all now live; we all know what could happen if the truth ever got out.
And now we lie for Maggie.
My daughter.
It all started with a lie…
But doesn’t it always?
I guess I’m not so typical anymore...
“Your brothers are coming in! That’s so exciting, Ells.” Margo drops to her mattress.
It is exciting. Since leaving for school we’ve had nothing more than a few phone calls to catch up with each other. It’s strange since we've always been so close to each other, but they’ve stayed in California for the past couple of years instead of coming home on summer breaks. I know Conner met a girl. However, we don’t exchange names before it’s serious because we don’t like to jinx things. We, meaning Conner and me because Josh rolls his eyes at that rule. He has already told us the name of his girlfriend, who isn’t his girlfriend, and from what I’m gathering, really could care less about him. Her name is Mia… with an e? So it's Mea? Who knows? I’m not too worried about it though since he has broken the cardinal rule and informed us of her name before even taking the proper steps to dating. If his relationship ever happens… and that’s a HUGE if, it won’t last too long. “They are! And so is Austin AND…” I squeal with excitement, my fists balled up in front of my chest. “Oh my God, you look like you might burst.” Margo covers her mouth to laugh. I might though because I can't stop what's happening to me. “MASON!” we both shout at the same time. Yes, Mason Devereux… The name alone makes my body pulse in all the right places. “One man should not be allowed that much beauty.” Margo fans herself. She’s right…but one does. And he's on his way here. I'm going to be sick. “Shame he has to bring big brother with him.” She purses her lips together. I don’t know why but Margo isn’t a fan of Austin’s… he’s not a bad guy. Just full of himself. “He isn’t so bad. I like Austin.” I grab my phone to check the time. When I talked to Josh he said he would be in at five. If I know Conner, which I do, I know he is going to expect me to be at the airport by four waiting for them in case they get in early. “You like Austin?” She eyes me skeptically. “Tolerate might be the better word.” I look up from my phone at her and grin. “Better. A weekend with everyone in the city? This is going to be insane!” Margo jumps up, squeezing her pillow. “Can you believe it Ells, we are graduating this year! From college!” She says it like it’s some big breaking news. I really can’t believe we’re graduating though. This is something we've looked at from a distance for so long that the finalization of it makes me wary. Like it's too good to be true. “Look at us, moving out of our small town to live in the big city and go to pastry school. They all said it couldn’t happen… that we’d be coming home with our tails between our legs.” I grin at her. I love making people eat their words. Especially nosey old people who have nothing better to do than sit around and crap on other people's dreams. “I can’t wait to shove it in their faces when we come home and slap them with our degrees.” Margo’s voice is filled with eager delight at the fact that we’ve proved them wrong. I have to agree with her there. It'll be nice to see the look on their faces. I smile at the thought of Mason, the man I haven’t physically seen for months, but emotionally have never been far from. At least on my end. Mason is my one, the one, he’s the man I’ve compared every other guy to. Which is why I’m still a virgin. Because I know what’s meant to be and we are what’s meant to be. I've always felt like this is that childhood crush that evolves into so much more without you trying because it’s bigger than anything you can ever imagine. It’s the type of love that the rest of the world molds itself around. “What are you going to do when you see Mason?” Margo psyches me up. Clearing my throat, I grab my purse and point to the door. My body a steady hum of energy as I walk out of our room. “I am going to tell him that I missed him and that I love him and that…” I suddenly forget the rest. My heart beats rapidly in my chest with each passing step out of the building and closer to him. “Ok, maybe just start with the missing him part. Try saying hey in a way that doesn't make you look crazy and also, leave the stalker bit out,” she laughs patting my back. My body jumps from the contact and I release a breathy laugh. “You need to calm down. You’re a ball of nervous energy and it’s freaking me out.” She stops in front of me to put her hands on my arms. “Oh my God, Ells, you’re shaking with excitement. Calm down or he’s going to get on the plane and race back to school to hide.” She runs her hands up and down my arms. I can’t help it. I don’t know what’s happening to me but it’s intense. And my jaw is hurting from clenching it. I take a deep breath, steadying myself and give a firm nod. “I’m good…let’s go," I squeal. “You’re fucked…and he's going to think you're insane. Let's go,” she nods, stepping to the side. “Please don’t tell him you stalk him on Facebook,” she whispers. Facebook…now there is handy tool. Apparently this kid came up with it to help connect the students at his school. Mason sent me an invite to it… said it would be easier to connect on there and of course I accepted! It’s a new world. I see everything he does, where he goes, what he likes. It’s almost like being with him. Oh my goodness I do sound like a stalker! But I'm not because I like, comment, and message him all the time. Which might be why I’m so freaking out excited nervous right now. The amount of build up for this moment is taking a toll on my body. Each part tingling and surging with excitement at different moments. I need to calm down before I pass out. After making it down the steps to the front lobby without falling from my trembling legs, we open the main door and head outside to grab a cab. My stomach twists into knots again. We're going to get your brothers. Calm down. I mentally tell myself. And Mason...but mostly Mason. My heart speeds up again. Crap.
Emersyn Vallis is a first time author with Adjournment being the first book in the Fated Series. Currently residing on the east coast with her husband and three children she is typically mistaken for being quiet and reserved her friends often describe her as a spastic spider monkey and always the first to be there with her quick wit to pull you back up when you’re feeling down. After reading as a hobby for most of her life it wasn’t until she had discovered R. L. Mathewson’s ‘Neighbor from Hell Series’ and Tara Sivec’s ‘Playing with Fire Series’ that she came up with the idea to fuse comedy and suspense together and her passion for writing was born.

My daughter. - If you could sit down face to face with any of your characters, who would you choose and why? Hmm ... that's a hard one. I would have to say Ellie. She was the first character's story that weighed heavy enough on my mind that caused me to sit down and write her story. - What do you like to do when you're not writing? Spend time with my family. Camping, hiking, and HGTV are my top three favorites things to do as well. - What does your family think of your writing? Darrin and Lauren are very supportive and very proud! Right now it is Grayson, from Chasing You! - What is your pay it forward book (the one you tell everyone they just HAVE to read)? Jennifer Probst The Marriage Bargain - If you could have anyone write the story of your life who would you choose and what would the title be? Most likely it would be written by me! EXCERPT:
Elle Sterling The coolness of the night air had begun to set in. With the suddenly harsher wind, Lindsay and I both felt the chill and even in our heels, we hastened our pace. As soon as we walked into the hotel suite, I was assaulted by the tang of a sticky, sweet scent. It was the smell of pot. Never one to try it myself, in my travels I’d come across many people who had. Moldy grass was how I’d always described the smell. Lindsay shot me a glance and confirmed my suspicion. Hard rock blared through the open space. The patio doors were open and I saw the back of two heads flopped on the lounge chairs. Even over the music, I heard laughter rumbling into the room. I was glad that at least Logan was upbeat. Lindsay started for them and looked at me. “Shhh.” I followed, keeping my mouth shut. We both approached, eager to see our men, but stopped at the edge of door to watch them. They were playing cards and a baggie of pot was on the floor. James had changed and was now wearing sleep pants and a T-shirt. He had a cigar gripped between his teeth while he tossed two piles of cards onto the table between them. Logan was still in his suit pants but had removed everything else. Everything. Outside in his pants only, I wondered how he wasn’t freezing until I looked up and saw the heat lamps were on. “Baby, you’re going to stink,” Lindsay said loudly, breaking the silence. Both men jerked their heads back. The smile that spread across Logan’s face was slow and seductive. Sexy. The sight of him dried my throat and made my heart pound. Right then I didn’t care about anything but comforting him through kisses. Lindsay was still talking, saying something about the rancid smell of the cigar. Me, I was already leaning over Logan and placing my lips very close to his. “Are you okay?” “I am now.” “You sure?” He nodded and said, “Don’t listen to James. He likes to be a drama queen.” “I heard that.” Ignoring James, Logan gave me a single tug and pulled me onto his lap. I found myself provocatively straddling him. His cards fell to the floor, but I heard no one complain. And then his hands anchored my hips as his mouth attacked mine, while my hands gripped his shoulders for support. “Where are your clothes?” I managed to ask. The corners of his lips tilted up. “We had a small wrestling match and my shirt took the brunt of the action.” I laughed. Boys will be boys. My dress had ridden up and if anyone was looking, they could see my panties. I just didn’t care enough right then to see what James and Lindsay were doing. I should have cared. I should have cared just how inebriated or high Logan was. I should have, but his primal response to my presence did something to me that made me want to be what he needed. Made me want to be wild and free for once in my entire life. Maybe it was the Lindsay effect. His kiss traveled from the corner of my mouth, along my jaw, to my throat. My hands moved higher to toy with his hair behind his neck. His teeth were sharp as they skidded across my skin, but the soft heat from his tongue soothed the burn. I turned my head to give him full access, and that was when I saw Lindsay’s head moving towards James’s lap. Again, I should have cared, but I just didn’t. I wasn’t sure if Logan noticed, but he turned my chin to look at him. “We should go home,” he slurred. The way his eyes flickered over me so intensely made the idea of waiting for a cab and then riding home in one seem like it would take a lifetime. With my hands flat on his bare chest, I found myself scooting up his body, stopping only when the soft fabric of my wet panties aligned perfectly with the tented fabric of his slacks. “I want you now,” I whispered. Logan’s tongue flicked out to wet his lips. “I’m drunk, probably not the best idea.” I raised myself ever so slightly and lowered my body, making the most exquisite contact with his erection. “I’m not and you seem just fine.” His hand stroked my hair and pulled out the clip holding it up. “You want this? Here?” My breath was wild. My nipples taut. My clit was pulsing. I realized I was excited. “Yes, I want you to take me here.” His gaze slid to the side and so did mine. James was thrusting into Lindsay’s mouth. “James!” Logan shouted. A grunt was his only reply. “Hurry up and get the fuck inside, will you.” Again, a grunt was his response. Logan’s attention back on me, his hands threaded through my hair and slid over my shoulders and down my arms to capture my hands. He pressed our palms together so that our fingers were linked and drew in a shuddering breath. “You’re so beautiful. You know that?” “I love you.” I’m not sure why I felt compelled to tell him that, but the way he looked at me when I did made me feel like we’d both found true love in each other, and all the worries that messed with my thoughts evaporated as his gaze flared. All that mattered was him. Comforting him. Getting him through this. Being here—for him. He brought me to him with a hand to the back of my head, holding me in place while he kissed me breathless, maybe hard enough that he might have bruised my mouth. Again, I didn’t care. The kiss went on and on and when he finally pulled away, I hadn’t had nearly enough of him. It was when my eyes fell to the bag of joints on the ground that I realized Logan did not taste of thyme or moldy grass or smell like skunk, and I was a little glad that he hadn’t gotten high. I had a feeling he had struggled with drugs during his life and with my own father being an alcoholic, I was all too familiar with the claim that addictive habits were hereditary. Another sideways glance on his part had my gaze following. “Finally,” he muttered. The lounge beside us was now empty, as was the living area. James and Lindsay must have gone into the bedroom. Logan must have been waiting for them to leave. Knowing we were alone, lust won out over good sense and I stood and stripped myself naked. Logan drew in a shuddering breath and stood as well, shedding his pants and underwear quickly. I stared at him, naked and beautiful, and licked my lips. That card I’d seen in the store came to mind. Just because my issues might never allow me to be submissive didn’t mean I couldn’t be the dominant type. He held out his hand for me to take it and instead I pointed to a chair next to the lounger. “Sit down.” “Don’t you want to go inside?” he asked. I shook my head. “No, sit down.” He raised a brow. I kept my finger pointed. No one could see us up this high and with the heat lamps on, something about fucking outside felt incredibly erotic. A slow, seductive smile spread across his lips, and as he sat his eyes looked like dark flames. The hazel was gone, replaced by dilated pupils that bled pure lust. Since I was already drenched, he easily slid inside me as I sat on his cock. The sensation of him filling me made me shout out, and Logan wasn’t exactly quiet himself. I heard pleasurable groans escape his throat. This was what we both needed. Each other. I just hoped it would be like this forever. My hands were not bound but they gripped the chair, my back was to his chest, and my legs were spread wide. I was open to him. Fully and completely open to him. In this position, I was his to do with whatever he pleased. It was then I realized that in our relationship we didn’t need a dominant or a submissive. We only needed each other. And as his palm found my breast and his fingers pressed against my clit, I closed my eyes and relished what I had with him. For us…give and take was all we needed.

Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing. They have one amazing daughter.
Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand. I started writing my Surrender Series, in the spring of 2013 and have received incredible support from the Indie community. Throughout this year, I have been privileged to meet some amazing people that I am thankful to have in my life.

I'm not just a high class escort, I'm a world class escort. My latest client doesn't know who or what I am. I've been hired to take her virginity, give her an heir and steal her heart. I'm getting close. All she needs is just a little PUSH...
I pleasure wealthy women for money, but that's not just between the sheets. I know the best restaurants, the finest in art and music, the perfect wine to order. I'm well read, smart and discrete. So discrete in fact that I've been hired to deflower the daughter of one of the richest noblemen in all of England. That's how I find myself flying first class to London to seduce her.

I knew the exact moment she saw me. A look of relief washed over her face. She walked with just a touch more confidence towards the VIP section. "Hey." I pulled her in and kissed her softly. She blinked up at me. "Hello." "You look stunning." "I do?" She looked like she wasn't sure. How a woman could look like her and not know her own appeal was beyond me. But that was Rosie. She didn't know what she was doing to me. Not yet. I was going to have to show her. "Yes." I pulled her down to the couch. Rebecca was watching us closely. I mixed everyone a drink from the chilled bottles that were out. "Champagne? Or vodka?" Rebecca leaned forward. "She'll take vodka. Me as well." I glanced at Rosie. She shrugged, looking like a lost little doe. I poured us each a vodka tonic and handed the girls their drinks. Rebecca downed her drink, nudging Rosie into doing the same. "Really Rose, Nicholas already paid for all of this, it would be rude not to drink it!" Of course, she did as she was told. She always did. Rebecca winked at me, waving to her friends. She seemed to know everyone in the place. Apparently she was a regular. I poured them another drink. I sipped mine as the girls chugged another drink. It was hard to watch the way Rebecca manipulated her cousin. I was just as guilty though. Soon, I'd be more than guilty. I'd be complicit. "Come on, let's dance." If she was going to get buzzed, at least I could show her a good time. Rosie let me pull her to her feet. I led her to the dance floor, leaving Rebecca to surround herself with young inebriated socialites. We were already in the middle of the floor when I realized she was tugging on my hand. "Nico- I can't dance!" Rosie was staring up at me, panic in her huge blue eyes. I stroked my hands over her shoulders. I was about to lay the ground work for later. When I took her virginity. Tonight, if I had anything to say about it. I smiled reassuringly. "It's okay, just follow my lead." I pulled her against me and started to move. I took full advantage of the opportunity to touch her. Her back, her hips, her waist. Her eyes were wide as I started to grind into her. I wanted her dripping before I took her. My hands slid under her jacket, holding her in place while I worked my hips against her. I bent forward so my face was against her neck. I breathed against her ear, knowing it had to tickle. In a good way, I hoped. "See? You're a natural." She laughed breathlessly and shook her head. "No, I'm not." "Do you want to stop?" "No. It's... nice." I closed my eyes. Damn her, she was making my conscience raise its ugly head. I was more interested in taking care of my other head right now. I wanted her. Badly. I hadn't even taken a Viagra. I was having a hard time controlling myself. I told myself it was because I hadn't been with anyone since my last client session, but that was a lie. It was her. To hell with it. "Do you want some air? I have a limo outside." "I don't want to leave Rebecca." "She's fine- look at her." I pointed to the VIP section where our table was now flooded with people helping themselves to our bottle service. It might as well have been LA or New York. People were the same everywhere. Rosie looked outraged though. "Nico! They're drinking it all!" I smiled at her. "I don't mind." I guided her through the club to the entrance and outside. The air was cool, clearing my head a little. Then I looked at her. Those long legs, her tight body and huge eyes. It was too much. "Come on." I opened the limo door and climbed in behind her. I didn't give either one of us a chance to stop and think. I pulled her against me and started to kiss her. No, I devoured her. My hands ran wild as I inhaled her lips, pulling her tongue into my mouth. I could taste the lime and booze on her fresh breath. Her skin and hair smelled incredible. The way she felt in my hands was something else entirely. Smooth. Sweet. Perfect. Mine. I guided her back down onto the cushion, crawling on top of her. I groaned at the feel of her beneath me. My shaft was twitching in my pants, ready to break free and impale her. More than anything on Earth, I wanted to sink my cock inside her and never come out again. Except I did have to come out. This was a job. A six week assignment. I couldn't do a thing about it. One word from Rebecca and she would never speak to me again. I realized it didn't matter though. If I could only have her now, I wanted to take as much as I could get. Suck the marrow out of life. She was soft and pliant in my hands as I stroked her, running my hands up and down her long silky legs. That was it. I was going to hell. But I couldn't do it. I couldn't take her like this. Not her first time. "Can I take you to my hotel room? Please, Rosie." She bit her lip and nodded. I rapped on the glass. "The Concorde please."
