Title: Ms. LawyerAuthor: Lea CollGenre: Contemporary Romance
About Ms. Lawyer:She’s the new public defender in town. He’s running for sheriff. Emma Ryan vows never to live in a small town again. Then her boss transfers her to Chestertown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. On opposite sides of the law, Emma quickly clashes with police officer Luke Hudson. But when Emma is threatened, she’ll need to work with Luke to determine who’s responsible. Stubborn, cocky and ambitious, Luke will stop at nothing to get what he wants. When his association with a criminal defense attorney puts his bid for sheriff in jeopardy, he’ll need to choose between his dream job and taking a chance on love.
“Thanks, Emma.” His eyes were riveted on my face and then moved over my body slowly. Heat flared up inside me following his gaze. “I don’t want to talk about the campaign. I wish we were alone right now,” he said huskily and as he gently tugged on my hair.
It made me think of sinking to my knees with him still in his tux, unbuckling his belt, drawing his zipper down and pulling out his cock. These thoughts were out of character for me, but my attraction to Luke made me bold. I felt my face heating up with my thoughts. Luke’s eyes sparked at whatever he could see in my eyes. I was sure he could read my mind. Luke tugged gently on my hair tilting my head back a little farther. Luke leaned even closer to me and my eyes drifted closed. I could feel his lips just a hair from mine and I held my breath in anticipation. His teeth nipped my bottom lip just for a second. Everything he was doing seemed in stark contrast to the formal nature of the event we were at, which only heightened my senses. When Cam cleared his throat next to us, it was like someone threw cold water on me, I jumped back guiltily out of Luke’s arms. I had completely forgotten where we were for a minute. I was breathing heavily and my pulse pounded in my head. Was he as affected by our closeness as I was? “Luke, some of the city officials need to talk to you. And don’t forget we don’t have the mayor’s support yet.” Cam chided Luke and glanced in reproach at me. What the hell did he mean by that? That Luke didn’t have time for one dance or that I was interfering with their plan for the mayor? Luke turned back to me, “I have to go talk to some people but don’t go anywhere. I have plans for you later.” He said that last part quietly so only I could hear.

"K. Bromberg always delivers intelligently written, emotionally intense, sensual romance . . ."--USA Today
4 Star Review by AshleyI am such a fan of K. Bromberg's Everyday Heroes books and was so happy to see Desi, Emerson's best friend, getting her own story. If you haven't met this group of characters yet, no need to worry, this totally stands on its own. I liked how independent and sassy Desi was. Despite the scare that put her right into the situation where she meets Reznor, she maintained her quirky personality. And put that broody yet kind man in his place more than once. There was no denying the attraction between Rez and Desi. And it didn't take long for these two to give into it. And holy hotness- were they explosive. But fears and nerves kept them for admitting to each other how much they really wanted to be together. I loved the small things Rez did to help Desi. It was those actions, not just his words, that proved his feelings. And that ending was a total swoon fest. What a whirlwind. Control was short and steamy and K. Bromberg had me wishing for more.

Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love. She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her husband and three children where they live in Southern California. On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written The Driven Series (Driven, Fueled, Crashed, Raced, Aced), the standalone Driven Novels (Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, Hard Beat, and Down Shift), and a novella (UnRaveled).

âBeautiful, isnât it?â He presses his front against my back, eliminating the space between us. My heart races as I feel his erection through his suit pants.
I shiver. âWill you hurt me in here, Sir?â
âOf course.â
âWill you make me cry?â
âI usually do.â
I steel my jaw, because the way he talks about my pain, my torment, is just cruel. âThen what are you waiting for?â
âAn audience,â he whispers, his tongue darting out to lick the space where my shoulder meets my neck. I close my eyes, bring my arm up behind his head, and slide my fingers into his hair as he devours my flesh. My body is electric, on fire, and buzzing with need. His words terrify me, and yet Iâve never been more turned on.

I was on my back, my arms resting on the pillow just above my head, when he curled into me, resting his head on my shoulder, and draping his arm over my body just below my breasts. And that was it.
Everything we did to each other’s bodies over the last several hours was magnificent. We’d both managed to experience incredible physical pleasure, but for me, it was so much more than that. It was in the cuddling afterward. The way he held me close. His fingers running through my hair or tracing delicately down my arm. The constant touch. I hadn’t realized how much I’d been craving it until he gave it to me. Those whisper touches made me feel for the first time in my life that I was not only wanted but also like I mattered. Truly mattered. Knowing now how that felt, I wasn’t sure how I’d ever be able to live without that feeling again. “Good morning,” I finally said after a few minutes had passed. “Morning, sugar.” “That was nice of you,” I teased. Dom let out a laugh and explained, “I figured it was only fair considering you took the liberty to be nice to me in the middle of the night.” “So you’re just trying to keep the playing field level, then?” Dom lifted his head and asked, “Ekko, you just came three times. Add to that the one time in the middle of the night and the two times out on the deck and I’d say this is definitely not a level playing field.” Feeling a bit embarrassed, I looked away and mumbled, “It’s been a while. ” Dom turned my head toward his and grinned. “There’s no need to feel humiliated, Ekko. It’s been a while for me, too.” My eyes widened in shock and I confirmed, “It has?” His chin jerked downward. “How long?” I blurted before I could stop myself. I quickly followed up with, “I’m sorry. That was rude. You don’t have to answer that.” “Since the night I saved you,” he answered immediately. That was more than six months ago. And he was Dom; he was beautiful. He probably could have had any woman he wanted. “What?” Dom’s arm that was draped across my body gave me a bit of a squeezed before he replied, “I knew from the minute I laid eyes on you that you were the girl for me. I can’t explain it; it’s just something I felt about you that was different than anything I’ve ever felt before. As time went by and I watched out for you, I grew more and more attracted to you.” I stared at him, completely shocked. “Just so you know,” Dom continued. “You were absolutely worth the wait, Ekko. I don’t regret waiting all that time for you.” “Stop,” I ordered. “I can’t cry again. You can’t keep doing and saying all of this sweet, wonderful stuff. I don’t know how to deal with all of it.” “You’re going to have to get used to it, fun size. After everything that’s happened over the last few weeks and especially after what happened last night, you’re mine now. I’m not going to hold back on giving you all the sweetness you deserve.” He was a dream come true. And that scared the living daylights out of me.

About the Author:
A.K. Evans is a married mother of two boys residing in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. After graduating from Lafayette College in 2004 with two degrees (one in English and one in Economics & Business), she pursued a career in the insurance and financial services industry. Not long after, Evans realized the career was not for her. She went on to manage her husband’s performance automotive business and drive the shop race cars for the next thirteen years. While the business afforded her freedoms she wouldn’t necessarily have had in a typical 9-5 job, after eleven years she was no longer receiving personal fulfillment from her chosen career path. Following many discussions, lots of thought, and tons of encouragement, Andrea decided to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. Between her day job, writing, and homeschooling her two boys, Evans is left with very little free time. When she finds scraps of spare time, she enjoys reading, doing yoga, watching NY Rangers hockey, dancing, and vacationing with her family. Andrea, her husband, and her children are currently working on taking road trips to visit all 50 states (though, Alaska and Hawaii might require flights).

Title: Sharing Samantha
Author: Madison Faye
Genre: Standalone Thanksgiving M/F/M Romance
Release Date: November 19, 2018
Blurb
Pass the gravy, share the pie.
We’ll have her stuffed and satisfied.
Forget the sweets and pumpkin spice,
We’ll give her something twice as nice.
We’ve always hated Thanksgiving. After all, growing up rough and untamed on the streets taught us one thing: there isn’t much in this life to be thankful for. And nothing comes for free unless you take it.
We’re trying to lie low at a prick of a business associate’s holiday party. But when she walks into our world, we know we’ve found something to make more than our stomachs growl.
Fiery red hair, sharp green eyes, pouty lips all full of sass and sweetness, and very much in need of rescuing from her asshole ex. She’s wrong on every level—too innocent, too good for two rough-and-tumble men like us. That and we’re supposed to do business with her entitled, awful family.
But one look at Samantha McCue, and we’re hooked, obsessed. One taste, and trust me when I say we will be coming back for seconds.
Because there’ll be some stuffing on this holiday table all right. And plenty of cream for that sweet pie. It’s the season of giving, after all.
…And between us both, we’ve got plenty to give her.
Fuck being “forbidden”. For once in our lives, we’ve found something to be thankful for.
And we’ll be damned if we let anyone take her from us.

Damn her code-of-conduct contract—this isn’t just a molten-hot fling. There’s just one kink in the relationship they’ve been avoiding: soon they’ll be going their separate ways. Lily’s home is in Savannah, and Gabe is a globe-trotter at heart. For them to be together, they’ll both have to upend their so-very-different worlds and face their fears in the process. And suddenly things don’t feel so Georgia peachy keen at all.
EXCERPT He wrapped his arms around me, sliding one hand up along the back of my neck to keep me close. Running his thumb down my cheek, he held my hair back from my face. The laughter and playfulness were gone. Now he was back where I’d seen him in the bedroom. Greedy and serious. His palm grasped my tush in a delightfully possessive way. “Ouija speaks the truth. I do want you. So bad.”“Me too,” I whispered back, but then I realized how confusing that sounded. “I mean, I want you. Not I want—” He kissed me to shut me up. His hands gripped my body, and his tongue swept mine aside. Straddling him on my knees on the sofa, I felt him hard underneath me. I tipped my hips into him, with nothing but my panties and his chinos between us. This kiss was different than the one in the bedroom earlier. This was like a slow drizzle of caramel all through me. Just as the room began to spin, and just as I started to reach for his belt, he broke us apart, pulling my head back slightly with his fingers knotted into my hair. He nudged my cheek with his nose and said, “I’m gonna take you upstairs, Lily. And rock your fucking world.”

SYNOPSIS:coz-en (kuz-uhn)
verb
1. trick or deceive.
• obtain by deception.
She was named most appropriately. Cozen Taylor has more than earned her place as one of North America’s most successful thieves. Her name is whispered amongst criminal elite as the go-to thief when someone needs a heist. She has never failed. A call from the Miami-based Astor family could change all that with a job that seems almost impossible to complete. The mark should be simple—a stolen family heirloom, the man who has kept it hidden for over twenty years, and six months to return the piece to its rightful owners. Nothing is ever that easy. Three-hundred million for a successful heist. No smart thief would turn the offer down. Cozen didn’t expect a complication like him to put a kink in her plans, though. Sargon Makri—tall, dark, gorgeous, and entirely dangerous. For her life, her heart, and for the success of the heist. The last thing Cozen needs to be thinking about is Sargon, and how she can get him into her bed … especially when he just happens to be her mark’s bodyguard. The thrill of the job has never been more addicting to Cozen, and she will risk everything to make the heist a success. But at what cost?
*** From author Bethany-Kris comes a whole new world. A North American network full of criminals battling to stay on top, and painting the streets red in war as they dabble in the game of betrayal. Malicious, cunning, forbidden, and violent—welcome to The Empires and Badlands. AUDIO EXCERPT - NARRATOR CONNOR GOFF
The old woman had not looked away from Cozen yet. Her gaze would probably be unsettling to some, but Cozen was accustomed to people trying to figure her out. Like she was some kind of prize to be unwrapped if they could manage to get through her many layers.
“Tell me, girl,” the woman said, her wrinkles being all the more prominent as her gaze narrowed on Cozen. “Do you genuinely believe you are the best thief on this continent?” Cozen didn’t even think about it. “I think I am one of the best, ma’am.” “But not the best.” “I was taught by the best. It would be incredibly rude of me to be so arrogant as to say I am better than them because they taught me. Isn’t that how it should work?” “Grandmamma, be nice,” Remington told the woman as he slipped the cat from her lap, and put it to the ground. But not before the ball of white hell hissed and tried to bite the man on his arm. “There is a reason Ace suggested he take this job to Cozen.” “She’ll get it done for you, Pearl,” Ace agreed. “Cozen is golden. Never had a failed job, yet.” Wait. This old woman was the one who called her for the job? Seriously? Damn. It really did take all kinds of people to make the fucking world go around. Fourth’s gaze slipped in Cozen’s direction, and with the narrowing of his eyes, she felt his disbelief about her presence make itself known once more. Although this time, he chose to keep it silent and not open his mouth. Nonetheless, Cozen felt it. She knew it. Pearl peered up at Cozen with a slow smile. It was as though she could read Cozen’s mind, or maybe it was just the woman’s age who gave her insight to the people around her. Who knew what it was? It was still unsettling. “How old do you think I am, girl?” Pearl asked. Cozen pressed her lips together. It was not nice to guess a woman’s age, and certainly not a woman whose face looked like weathered, pale leather. “I would say you have lived long enough to know it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to answer that question, Mrs. Astor.” Pearl smiled. “You would be right. I am ninety-five. I have outlived my husband, three of my children, and six dogs. I am on my fourth Persian cat at the moment—you saw her. I call her Sweetness.” “She did not look very sweet.” “Because she isn’t. I like to surprise people.” “You’re older than the Queen of England.” Pearl nodded. “And richer than the bitch, too, darling.” Cozen smiled widely, unable to stop herself. Laughter lit up the estate from the men. None of them seemed particularly surprised by Pearl’s quick wit. She learned something in that moment. Age meant nothing. “Shoo,” Pearl said to the gathered men. She flicked a jewel-covered hand. “Leave us alone for a while.” “Grandmamma,” Remington started to say. “Oh, go, Rem. I can do this myself.” Fourth and Ace were already pushing out of their chairs without needed to be told. Pearl and Remington the Third passed another look between one another before the man followed behind his son, and the broker he called in for this deal. Or rather, the broker Pearl called in. “Sit,” the old woman said, gesturing at the seat across from hers. Cozen sat. “I hear you need a thief.”

Seven years ago, she was sheltered. In need of guidance. I was a newly-ordained priest with a vow of celibacy. Our love affair was torrid, and wrong, and ended in heartbreak. We broke it off and went our separate ways. I left the priesthood. She left her home. Seven years later, she’s stranded in my NYC Club while a blizzard rages outside, and she wants a taste of dominance. I won’t let another man lay eyes on her, much less touch her. She’s still my everything. My salvation. And there’s no way I’m letting her go. He shakes his head, stomps over to me, and hauls me up by the armpits to standing, then he lifts me into his arms. What the hell? “Noah!” I protest. “Axle,” he corrects. “I’m—sick. And I didn’t give you permission to pick me up. Put me down! This is the most epically disastrous reunion known to man.” I let my head fall back dramatically, which earns a chuckle from him. “Damn, Chandra, you’re just as cute as you were when I knew you.” Oh no he doesn’t. “Put me down,” I whisper. “Please.” I can’t stand being this close to him. The sound of his voice… his clean, powerful, masculine scent… the way he says my name, Chandra, like it’s a prayer. It isn’t a prayer, but a form of torture. We tried prayers, and they fell on deaf ears. I loved this man once, and I’ve had to put a wall up around my heart for survival. I won’t let him tear that wall down. I can’t. “I’ll put you down when I get to my room,” he says. “You came into this club unescorted. Am I right?” “Well…” I begin. “Not really. I came in here with Marla.” “Jesus Christ,” he mutters. I blink in shock. The Noah I knew did not only didn’t have tattoos, he did not swear. What’s happened to him? “And where’s Marla now?” he asks. “I told her to go home,” I say. His brow furrows. “And she just went? Just left you?” “Well…” my voice trails off. “Chandra,” he chides. “I… may have texted her and said I already went home,” I whisper. “So, you lied.” “Well, yes, but it was for her own good.” “It’s still a lie,” he says sternly, but before he can continue his lecture, my stomach lurches again. He helps me to my feet and leads me to bed. It’s so tender, my eyes water, but I tell myself it’s just because he caught me at a weak moment. I can’t fall for him. I loved once, and I can’t go there again. “Into bed with you,” he says. What? “I need to go home,” I whisper. My stomach churns, waves crashing on rocks. “You’ll go home eventually,” he says with a sigh. “But tonight, you stay here. There’s a blizzard warning in effect, and it isn’t safe to travel, plus I want to be sure you’re healthy again.” He walks over to a refrigerator and removes a cold bottle of water. He opens the top, hands it to me, and orders, “Drink.” “I can’t sleep here,” I protest. The thought of being close to him, when I’m sick and weak, terrifies me. I need to be strong to resist his pull. Even now, when he’s tender and kind and firm with me, I want to give in. I take a sip from the bottle just to appease him, and then lift my head and say with determination. “I must go home. Though I’m ever so grateful for your kindness, staying here is not an option.” His eyes narrow. “Why not? Why the hell would you go?” Why not? Is he high? “I don’t owe you an explanation,” I grit out, pushing myself to sitting and swinging my legs over the bed. He takes a step close to me, and it dawns on me that we’re in a BDSM club. Why is he here? “Noah?” I ask, eying him warily. “What exactly is your role here, anyway?” “No changing the subject,” he says. “I said you’re staying here, and I mean it. So first, we agree to that.” “No,” I tell him, giving him the same heated glare he’s giving me. “I said, I’m going home. We have a history, and I’m not—” I freeze and nearly bite my tongue to stop me from saying I can’t do that to myself again. I let him go. I had to. It was a necessary but brutal decision. A little part of the old Chandra died when that happened. He steps closer, his eyes smoldering. “You’re not what?” he asks. He’s so close, I feel the vibration of his breath on me. His voice, as rough as sandpaper, grates against my frayed nerves. “Letting me defile you again?” USA Today Bestselling author Jane has been writing since her early teens, dabbling in short stories and poetry. When she married and began having children, her pen was laid to rest for several years, until the National Novel Writing Challenge (NaNoWriMo) in 2010 awakened in her the desire to write again. That year, she wrote her first novel, and has been writing ever since. With a houseful of children, she finds time to write in the early hours of the morning, squirreled away with a laptop, blanket, and cup of hot coffee. Years ago, she heard the wise advice, “Write the book you want to read,” and has taken it to heart. She sincerely hopes you also enjoy the books she likes to read. |
