Blurb: From the time I was a kid, I knew I wanted a job helping people. After serving in the Rifles regiment of the British Army, I focused my civilian career on becoming a bodyguard to the rich and famous. For a Cockney Brit, I never imagined a twist of fate landing me a position in the United States Secret Service and protecting the President’s son. But then my boss made an unexpected request: leave my current placement to move in with his only daughter to give an added layer of protection against the threats she had been receiving. I’d never lived with a woman who was off-limits to me. It wasn’t just that Caroline had a boyfriend. She was my best friend’s sister, and my boss’s daughter. But the longer we’re in such close quarters together, the greater the temptation grows, but I know I'll lose everything if I pursue her.Growing up as the only girl and with two overbearing older brothers, I’m no stranger to being overprotected. Just as I finished up college and prepared to truly dip my toes into the adult world, my father was elected President of the United States, which added a whole new level of protection with the Secret Service team attached to me. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly be more smothered, I began receiving threats, and my family decided it wasn’t enough to just have an agent living down the hall from me. Nope, I was to have one move in with me, and not just any agent, but Ty Frasier—my brother, Barrett’s best friend, and my brother, Ty’s, head agent. While most women would enjoy living with a sexy, buff Brit, having a roommate threw a wrench into all my plans. Especially when I began noticing Ty was so much more than a hot guy.
Excerpt:After we spent a considerable amount of time perusing the aisles of the Piggly Wiggly, Caroline was finally finished, and we made our way to the checkout. In true small town fashion, she struck up a conversation with the middle-aged cashier. While she appeared utterly charming, I probably came off as an ass because I kept looking around and narrowing my eyes at anyone who might look suspicious. Especially the male middle-aged cashier who seemed utterly enthralled by Caroline. At the sight of us coming out the mechanized doors, Stuart began easing the SUV closer to our place on the curb. After popping the hatch, Caroline wheeled the cart over to the back of the SUV. Just as I was about to start helping her with the bags, I heard a shout behind me. “Hey! Come back here.” Whirling around, I saw a man waving wildly at Caroline. “Fuck! Assailant!” Stuart shouted. I shoved myself between the man and Caroline, shielding her from him. Grabbing her by the waist, I hoisted her up and threw her in the back of the SUV. “Omph!” she cried as her body bounced on the carpeting of the hatch. After slamming the door, I stepped back just as Stuart screeched away from the curb. Now that I knew Caroline was safe, I turned my attention back to the man. Hurling myself at him, I took him down to the curb. “What are you doing?” he demanded. “Stay down. I’m calling the police.” “The police? But what did I do?” “You’ve been harassing the President’s daughter.” “I just came out to give her the coupons she forgot.” “What?” He nodded. “Look in my right hand.” After rocking back on my knees, I grabbed his arm and pried the contents out of his hand. Once I unraveled it, I grimaced. “Son of a bitch.” I had completely and utterly misread the situation. Speaking into my microphone, I said, “Stuart, it’s a false alarm.” “Are you fucking kidding me?” he blared into my ear. “No, I’m not.” “We’re headed back.” “Roger.” I figured then it was past time for me to get off the man. I rose to my feet before reaching down to help him up. I brushed off his white shirt I had accidentally dirtied when I knocked him to the ground. Upon closer inspection, I saw the nametag on his shirt. “Sheldon, I’m terribly sorry for my actions.” He narrowed his brown eyes at me. “I think it’s me who needs to be calling the police.” “That won’t be necessary.” Reaching into my pocket, I fished out my badge. As I flashed it at him, I said, “Agent Fraser with the U.S. Secret Service.” His eyes bulged before he gasped. “Wait, that was President Callahan’s daughter?” “Yes, sir, it was. I hope you can understand that we take the safety of the president’s children very seriously, and upon first reflection, it appeared you might’ve been preparing to harm Ms. Callahan.” “Oh, no. I would never want to do that. I voted for her dad. Never thought I’d vote for an Independent, but he won me over.” “I’m happy to hear that, sir. I certainly hope this unfortunate incident won’t in anyway skew your views on him.” He waved a hand dismissively at me. “No, no. I understand. More than that, I can’t wait to go home and tell my wife that Caroline Callahan came into my store today.” For my sake, I hoped he left out the part where a Secret Service agent mowed him down because he thought Piggly Wiggly coupons were a weapon. Once the other agents found out about this, I was going to catch hell in the form of their constant ribbing. At least Stuart would be going down with me. He’d made the assumption to start with. After Stuart drove up, he made quick work of putting the SUV in park and opening the hatch. I hopped off the curb and went over to the back. Caroline sat with her knees pulled against her chest. When she pursed her lips at me, I held up my hands. “I’m sorry. It was a false alarm.” “That’s what Stuart said.” “We can never be too careful.” An amused look twinkled in her blue eyes. “Apparently not when we find grocery cashiers a threat to my safety.” “He appeared to have a weapon in his hand, and he was shouting at you,” I argued. “I believe the weapon turned out to be coupons.” Man, she was really on my dick about this one. Shit. I should never think of Caroline on my dick in any form or fashion. It was just too wrong. “Yes, the weapon turned out to be your coupons.” “Right.” I extended my hand to her. “Come on and get out, so we can load the groceries up and get the hell out of here.” After I helped Caroline slide out of the back, she started helping me load the bags. “Should I go inside and offer an autograph to smooth things over? This is the closest grocery store to the apartment, so I’d hate to not ever be able to come here again because you clothes-lined a guy.” “I didn’t clothes-line him. I merely took him down as part of protocol.” “I’d say you lost your calling in football, that’s for sure.”

Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Contemporary/Security Romance
Release Date: December 18, 2018
Ice is the 9th book in the Reed Security Series and should be read in order.
Ice. Lady Killer. Perpetual bachelor. Until Lindsey stepped into his life, Ice had never considered having a relationship ever again. He liked his life the way it was and that was the end of that conversation. But when Ice kidnaps Lindsey to protect her, he has no choice but to bring her home with him. And that's where the problems begin. There's a very fine line between love and hate, but which side will they land on?
I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
Get flowers. That’s all I was supposed to do. Seemed easy enough, but as I would soon see, nothing involving Nora would be easy. Within five minutes of meeting her, we run for our lives. She’s not overly informative, but I know she’s in danger. Keeping her safe would be easier if she would tell me the whole truth, tell me exactly what we’re running from. But I know how to get her to be honest. I know how to show her who’s in charge. She’s more willingly than she knows, and in the end I’ll get what I want. And she’ll have what she needs. The danger is right on our heels, but we’ll keep each other safe. And while we’re fighting off the bad guys, she’s changing, she’s learning. She’s becoming my pet. The heavy scent of cigarette smoke dragged Greg Turner from his uncomfortable sleep. Sniffing, he bolted out of bed, ready to battle the fire. His bravery was rewarded with a high-pitched feminine giggle. Greg wiped his hand across his eyes and let the woman come into focus. Tall, bottle blonde, had the freshly fucked look. The previous evening came back to him, and he groaned. He must have fallen asleep before escorting her back to her apartment. “Cherry, put that damn thing out,” he groused and reached for his boxers hanging from the bedframe. “Sorry, but I couldn’t get the window opened,” she said, walking past him to the bathroom attached to his bedroom. He unlatched the window and slid it open, giving her an exasperated look when she returned after flushing her cigarette. “I told you no smoking in my place,” he reminded her and sat back on the bed, rubbing his temples. The smoke made his head hurt, or maybe it was her presence. He needed to cut the ties, and quick. “I know,” she said, snuggling up to him and pressing his head to her chest. If she thought her tits were magical enough to make his mood change, she really had a shock coming to her. “What are you going to do? You want to spank me again?” she asked in a forced heavy voice. “I don’t think that would work for you, Cherry.” He gently shoved her away and got back to his feet. Cherry wasn’t a real submissive. She only played spanking games with him because she wanted him. But he didn’t want fake, and that’s all she had to offer. From her chemically induced hair coloring down to her acrylic toenails. Nothing about her was genuine, but she’d been fun to party with. Now, the party was over. “Sure, it would. It was fun,” she said with her soft giggle. He’d been attracted to it at first, the innocence, but after spending more time with her, he knew it was as manufactured as the rest of her. “Cherry,” he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. Breaking up with someone had never been his strong suit—luckily most women who didn’t fit what he wanted figured it out easily enough for themselves and dropped him hard before running for the hills. But he hadn’t shown Cherry all of him yet, so she couldn’t know what he was really wanting. What sort of depraved games he actually wanted to play. “Greg, really. I liked it.” She forced a smile across her red lips. How long had she been awake? She already had on her face paint for the day. “That wasn’t a real spanking, sweetheart. You wouldn’t like a real one. Not like I give them.” He shook his head and went in search of his jeans. “Why? Do you think I’m too weak?” The little pout in her tone made his skin crawl. Innocence turned him on to a point, but what she displayed bordered on whining. And he didn’t have a thing for that. Give him a woman who could stand on her own two feet, had a good head on her shoulders, and eagerly sank to her knees when commanded. That was the woman for him. Cherry. Well, Cherry would probably cry if he gave her an order to drop to her knees, and she’d probably have a mini stroke if he snapped a leash onto her and took her for a walk. “No.” He found his jeans and shoved his legs inside, zipping up his fly and running his fingers through his hair. “Cherry. We’ve had a great time, but we just don’t have anything in common.” Other than their passion for fucking. That they saw eye to eye on. Cherry swept her hair behind her ears and put her hands on her hips. He didn’t say anything else, just waited for her response. After a long, awkward moment stretched between them, she dropped her hands to her sides and shrugged. “So? We’ll just keep things casual.” “You mean you want a fuck buddy.” He pointed a finger at her. As much as the idea tempted him, he shook his head. She’d play games. It’s who she was. Game playing wasn’t his thing. “Why not?” she pushed when he didn’t give in. “Because the things that turn me on, the things I’d want to do with you wouldn’t be appealing to you,” he said, hoping she’d just accept it and move on. They’d had a great few days together, but it was done with. She wouldn’t budge. “Like what? Anal? I can do anal.” He paused in putting on his socks to stare up at her with a slacked jaw. He hadn’t thought of anal sex with her, not that she didn’t seem that type, but he didn’t want to put the effort into it with her. “How many fuck buddies have you had?” he asked, sounding more incredulous than he had any right to be. He wasn’t exactly close to virginal status either. Her eyes narrowed and those hands of hers were back on her hips. “Fuck you, Greg.” “See. Now, if we were together, really together, I’d have to punish you for saying something like that.” He finished dressing and walked over to her. The idea of being punished either turned a girl on or repulsed them. Cherry was repulsed. He walked over to her and gently grabbed her arms. “I told you, the things I like aren’t what you like. It goes way beyond anal. I don’t want to waste your time, is what I’m saying.” She ran her tongue over her over-whitened teeth and shoved his hands away. “Fine.” In a huff, she marched out of the bedroom and into the living room. Not being a total asshole, but feeling one hundred percent like one, he followed her. “You know, Greg. If you don’t want to be with a girl, maybe you shouldn’t fuck her like you do,” she snapped at him, while working her foot into her shoe. What did that mean? “I’m sorry if I gave you the wrong impression—” “No!” She sliced her hand through the air. “I don’t want your apologies. Just forget the last few days. Delete my number from your phone, and don’t bother coming to my place for dinner tomorrow night.” Had they made plans? He worked nights at The Bar; why would he have dinner plans with her? “Are you sure you’re thinking of me?” he asked, unable to stop himself. She huffed again, her face reddening, but then realization swept over her face. She hadn’t meant him. He managed to stifle a laugh, but the grin couldn’t be contained. “It’s fine. I’m sure he’s a better match for you.” He opened the door to the apartment. She didn’t respond, just gave a little yelp when she stumbled on the edge of the rug and headed out the door. Greg followed her down the narrow stairway to help unbolt the bottom door that led out into the parking lot of the building. She remained stoic and silent, staring up at the ceiling to avoid looking at him, and once the door was opened, she shoved past him and disappeared into the morning sun. “Well, she didn’t last long, did she?” Aubree’s sweet voice startled him. He whipped around and found her standing at the end of the hall carrying a large box. He put himself into motion and snagged the box of toilet paper from her. “It’s a little early for you to be working,” he said and carried the supplies down the hall to the closet. Living in the apartment over the bar he ran with his brother meant he ran into his brother and his sister-in-law at all hours of the day. “Bella woke me up, and I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I decided to get a jump on a few things,” she explained as she walked behind him. “Where is my niece? You put her back to bed?” “She’s in the office coloring,” Aubree said. The three-year-old didn’t like sleeping in late on Saturdays, no matter how much her parents begged her. “Hey.” Blake appeared through the back door. “Here you are.” He narrowed his gaze at his wife. “Where else would I be?” she asked with a bit of a huff. Greg recognized that tone and turned to head toward the office. Some time with his niece would give them enough time to work out their issue. “You didn’t leave a note, and I texted you.” He heard his brother chastising his wife. “Greg, wait, don’t go anywhere yet.” “I didn’t get your text,” Aubree stated with annoyance. “And I did leave a note, right—” She paused mid-sentence then cursed. “I’m sorry. I think I wrote it and stuffed it in the diaper bag when I left.” She leaned against the wall. Blake’s mouth pinched together in a straight line. “You’ve been working too much and keeping up with Bella is getting harder now that she’s into everything. Greg and I will handle the inventory this morning. Bella can hang with us, you go home and get some sleep.” Blake’s no-nonsense tone would have frightened some females; they would have seen his tone as angry. But he was in protective mode, and once Blake shifted to that gear there was no talking him down. But Aubree was no ordinary woman. “I’m not tired,” she argued. “I didn’t ask if you were. Now go home and get back to bed. Lie there and count sheep, repeat the alphabet backwards, whatever you gotta do, but you don’t get up again until I call you.” Aubree sighed. “Fine.” “We’ll take care of Bella, just get some sleep,” Greg interjected. Playing with dolls didn’t exactly ring his bell, but spending time with his niece was always full of adventure. She had her mother’s magnetism for trouble. “Okay, okay.” Aubree threw up her hands. “I’ll just give her a kiss and head out. Don’t forget she has playschool at eleven. Are you sure you can get her there?” Blake nodded and pressed a kiss to his wife’s forehead. “Not a problem. Just rest up—because if your attitude gets much worse you’re going to have bigger problems.” A sweet blush bloomed. No matter how many times Blake made the same threat, her reaction was the same. “Your brother’s here,” she said and gave Blake a playful shove. “And always willing to lend a hand.” Greg smiled broadly, crossing his arms over his chest. Years ago, he’d have given his right hand to have Aubree draped across his lap. But seeing how she was with Blake, he couldn’t imagine anything between them ever being anything more than platonic. “You’re as bad as him.” Aubree shot him a punch in the arm as she passed and headed to the office. “Actually, he’s worse,” Blake offered. Aubree’s face reddened another notch, and she disappeared into the office. “You should keep that woman locked up. It’s too early for her to be up working,” Greg said to his brother. “Well, since Bella came along it’s gotten a little harder to keep her in her cage,” Blake sighed. “I’m working on it though. Between her part-time hours at the veterinary clinic and here, she works too hard, too much, and still tries to be the perfect mother. Nothing a long session with my belt can’t fix.” “Take a night off and handle it.” Greg leaned against the wall and ran his hand over his chin. He needed to shave. After spending four years in the marines, he’d gotten used to having a clean look. “Don’t worry about her. I have it handled.” Blake nodded. “I’ll check in on Bella and make sure she’s not tearing up my office. I have a list of errands for you.” “Great.” Greg forced a smile. He should have stayed upstairs and let Cherry find her own way out. “That woman I saw stomping her way across the lot when I pulled in, she yours?” Blake asked, walking down the hall to the bar. “No. She won’t be around anymore.” Greg settled onto a stool and waited for his honey-do list. Blake shook his head. “You’ve been home six months. And you’ve gone through at least a dozen girls.” “Don’t go all big brother on me,” Greg warned. It had taken enlisting in the marines to get his brother to back off, and he wasn’t looking to get back into old habits. “Fine. Fine. What’s up with the security thing? I thought you were going to start looking into getting into personal security?” “Why? You don’t like having me working here?” Greg asked. “Fuck, Greg. Of course I do, just—I don’t know.” Blake’s brow wrinkled with concern. “Don’t worry about it. Where’s that list?” Greg held out his hand. Better to jump into the day, then work out what his brother was worrying about. Greg came home different than he’d left, that he knew. And it worried Blake, he knew that too. But analyzing the situation wasn’t going to change it. He was home now and had to get his life back to some form of normalcy. Blake handed over the short list of errands and Greg hopped off the stool. “I’ll get these done and be back by lunch. You’ll need help feeding that kid of yours. I’ve seen Aubree battle her, and she’s better at it than you. You’ll need reinforcements.” Blake laughed. “You’re probably right.” Greg headed out with a strict plan. Run errands. Pick up lunch. Get home to eat and nap before his night shift at the bar. Planning and lists. It all helped keep things in perspective. Don’t stray, and he’d be able to handle the entire day without incident. Title: Deal Makers
Series: Dealing With Love #3 (interconnected standalone)
Author: Laura Lee
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: January 4, 2019
Cover Design: JLD Designs
I’VE OFFICIALLY SCREWED THE POOCH.
I mean, not literally, because that would be disgusting. But I did break one of the cardinal rules of Bro Code, which is equally appalling. You see, I fell in love with my best friend’s sister after he explicitly forbid me to go near her. As if that weren’t bad enough, I went ahead and married her while sh*tfaced in Vegas.
I know that I should get an annulment and forget the whole thing ever happened, despite the fact that our wedding night was the hottest thing I’ve ever experienced.
The last thing I should do is go back for seconds.
Or thirds.
Or...you get the point.
And what I definitely shouldn’t do, is say f*ck the consequences and give this marriage a real shot.
But here’s the problem with that: I’m pretty sure that Charlotte Harris is the one. And if that’s the case, nothing is going to keep me away from her. Not even her brother.
*Deal Makers is filled with lots of laughs, drunken shenanigans, and a sexy romance. It is the third installment in the Dealing With Love series but each one can be read as a standalone.
DREW
“I kicked blackjack’s ass!” Charlee lifts her arms in triumph. “We should celebrate!” I steady her by the elbow as we step into the observation wheel. “Isn’t that what we’re doing right now?” She points to the bar in the center of the pod. “Celebrations call for cocktails!” She giggles. “I said cock. Cock, cock, cockity cock. Cockleshell. Cocksure. Oh, I know! Cock-a-doodle-doo!” She crows that last word, causing the people around us to snicker. Thank fuck we’re in the twenty-one and over pod. I tuck a thick strand of hair behind her ear and smile when she leans her cheek into my palm. “That last drink really tipped you over the edge, huh?” On our way to the Linq’s promenade, we stopped at one of those stands that offers yardstick beakers of slushy alcohol. Charlee sucked hers down like taking a hit from a beer bong. I slurped mine a little more slowly but finished it nonetheless. I’m a big guy so it takes a lot to get me drunk, but those fucking things are huge, and we had shots right before that, so I’m actually buzzing pretty hard right now. I’m pretty sure the gorgeous brunette currently rubbing up against me like a cat has crossed over into sloshed. “Nah.” She strokes my arm like it’s the softest thing she’s ever felt. “I’m good. Your muscles are huge, Drew. How often do you work out?” She rests her head against my bicep. “Seriously, this thing is almost as big as my head. Look!” I laugh as I tuck her into my chest. “I work out every day if I can. If I’m at the station, I only get an hour per day but if I’m at home, I’ll go to the gym for a couple of hours.” She wraps her arms around my waist and tips her head back. “Everyday? That’s insane. Exercise blows. I mean, I do it, but only because I fucking love to eat, but I’m miserable the whole time.” “I actually really enjoy it.” I shrug. “If you’re that miserable, maybe you just need a workout partner. You should come with me sometime.” Her hands wander down to my ass. “I’d rather work off calories the naked way. If you feel the need to lift weights, you can totally bench press me.” She squeezes my ass and presses her tits into my stomach to emphasize her point. I groan as I picture lifting her deliciously naked body, pressing my lips against her skin with each downward motion. Having a boner while trapped in a small space with twenty other people isn’t ideal so as much as I don’t want to, I step back. “Let’s get you that cocktail, Drunkie McGhee.”
Laura's passion has always been storytelling. She spent most of her life with her nose in a book thinking of alternate endings or continuations to the story. She won her first writing contest at the ripe old age of nine, earning a trip to the state capital to showcase her manuscript. Thankfully for her, those early works will never see the light of day again!
Laura lives in the Pacific Northwest with her wonderful husband, two beautiful children, and three of the most poorly behaved cats in existence. She likes her fruit smoothies filled with rum, her cupboards stocked with Cadbury's chocolate, and her music turned up loud. When she's not writing or watching HGTV, she's reading anything she can get her hands on. She's a sucker for spicy romances, especially those involving vampires, bad boys, or cowboys!
Title: Pickle Licker: A Quirky Christmas Novella
Author: Allie Gail
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: December 19, 2018
And that's how it ended up in my mouth.
Oh, get your mind out of the gutter, will you? I'm not talking about THAT!
All I did was give it a little lick. Okay, fine, I may have shoved the whole thing in my face. Not my finest moment, but hey, the guy deserved it. At least now Saul Stryker knows I exist.
Why is he always hanging around here anyway? Smelling like bottled sin, looking way too hot while he casually raids my fridge. Just because his business partner is my roommate, Stryker acts like he owns the place. Well, he can't just help himself to whatever he wants, whenever he wants it!
So what am I, the invisible girl?
That's it – bring on the coal, I'm done being nice!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
For f***'s sake, it was just a pickle!
Why is this chick going all Bad Santa on me? One minute I'm having lunch with Perry and next thing I know, his weirdo roommate is hijacking my kosher dill and slurping on it like a demented bloodhound.
Da-amn.
Is it wrong that I may have been slightly turned on by the way she was deep-throating that thing?
This could get interesting. Because now I'm looking beyond the berets, Uggs and tacky Christmas sweaters, and noticing Jayne Pritchett for the first time.
I gotta say, I'm liking what I'm seeing.
And now all I want is for the little pickle licker to notice me.
Contains sexual situations (obviously), adult language (naturally), and possibly a few inappropriate references to garden vegetables. Just sayin'.
When I wake up Sunday morning, I am stunned to find the kitchen fully stocked with enough groceries to last for a month.
And a very large cucumber strategically placed on the counter, with a handwritten note tucked beneath it.
Found you a new boyfriend since I so tactlessly consumed your last one. Sorry about that. If I'd known you were vegisexual, I never would have done it. Say hello to Francois. The cucumber, as you know, is a very versatile vegetable and is not limited to fellatio so please feel free to explore all your options. Francois has already assured me that he is fully on board with whatever kinky fuckery you're into. Should be a match made in heaven. Safe sex, you two!
My mouth drops open.
Oh, he's dead meat.
Clutching the offending object in my hand, I make a beeline toward the studio so I can tell that smartass just what he can do with his stupid cucumber. I'm assuming they must be in there, even though Perry doesn't tend to stream on Sundays. They're probably working on their super-secret project, whatever it is.
Without bothering to knock, I fling the door open so hard it bounces off the wall. Yep, there they are. Both of them.
Waving the cuke in the air, I shout at Saul, “You pig! I know you are not seriously suggesting that I stick produce up my vagina! What's wrong with you? Do you shove random vegetables up your ass?”
They swivel around in their chairs, looking startled. And that's when I realize, with a horrible sinking feeling, that they're wearing their headphones.
Oh, God. Oh-h-h God. Please tell me that doesn't mean what I think it means.
Biting back grins, they exchange wary glances. Perry is the first to speak. And when he does, I want to crawl in a hole and pull the dirt in over me.
“Uh, Jayne...would you care to say hello to our viewers?”
Oh. My. Gawd!
Panicking, I do the only thing that comes to mind.
I throw the cucumber and run away, shrieking.
Born and raised in rural Alabama, Allie Gail currently resides in sunny Florida with her very own blue-eyed Prince Charming and a hyperactive hamster named Toot-Toot. Always an avid reader, she took to her keyboard on a whim in 2012 and that was the last anyone ever saw of her. (Just kidding – I did venture out of the house that one time, but only because I was tricked into it. Stupid hurricane.)
Her genre of choice is romance, featuring goofy but headstrong heroines and the sexy, snarky men who love them. When she isn't obsessively typing, deleting, and re-typing the same sentence over and over, Allie can usually be found snuggled up to her hubby watching B-movie horror, helping out with the family business or playing online RPG games while indulging her hopeless sugar addiction.
You can also find her on Facebook, so stop by and say hello. She would love to hear from you!

PROLOGUE
COLE
Have you ever been to a funeral where the preacher stands before the friends and loved ones of the deceased and talks about how shitty the person was? How he fucked around on his wife? Or spent his familyâs life savings to feed his gambling addiction? How about during his bachelor party when he snorted coke off a hookerâs ass?
Me neither.
Why is it that weâre fucking saints the moment we die?
You hear the preacher say things like, âOh, John Smith was a lovely man who loved his wife and kids,â when he should really be saying, âJohn Smith was a worthless piece of shit who fucked the underage babysitter every chance he fucking got while his wife was busy working two jobs and raising his ungrateful children.â
And letâs not forget that the deceased in that casket before you never even went to church. Let alone knew the preacher who speaks so highly of him. All he knows are the stories the blinded loved ones wrote down on a little card for him to share.
Heâs a fucking puppet.
I havenât read the Bible word for word, but I know the Lord says if we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness, he will cleanse our souls, and we will be forgiven.
Poof. Itâs like magic.
Now that begs the questionâwhat if youâre not sorry? What if you donât care to be forgiven?
No amount of holy water could cleanse my soul, and Iâm okay with that because when I sinned, I understood that I would one day have to pay. Weâre all going to die eventually. You can be one of those people who bury your head in the sand to avoid talking about it all you want, but itâs life!
Live or die.
Heaven or hell.
Angel or devil.
Itâs black and white. There are no gray areas.
So tell me ... when youâre lying in that casket in front of your friends and family, what are they going to think of you? Are they gonna believe that preacher who talks bullshit, or are they gonna know you didnât care if you were going to burn for eternity?
Iâm not a religious person. Obviously. But I do know this. When I am damned to hell, itâll be because I fucking earned it.

I Dare You by Shantel Tessier
Brittany's rating: 5 of 5 stars I fell in love with Shantel Tessier from the first book of hers that I've read. I knew she was dark and twisted, and this book is exactly that. I LOVED it! It took me quite a bit to read, I'm not sure whether it was because I was busy or the book was long. Either way, it was a great read and I would totally read it again. There are many twists and turns in this book. Things you don't expect. There's a certain mystery aspect to it that has you eager to read as fast as you can. It's such a treat to watch as Austin and Cole's relationship changes. And Lilly is such a delight and adds cuteness to this story. I also love the secondary characters, particularly Deke and Becky. I hope they end up getting their own story someday. View all my reviews

HOOPS Holiday, a Christmas bundle featuring all-new, never-before-published content by Kennedy Ryan, is available now!
MacKenzie Decker was a question Avery never got to ask, much less answer. They met when she was a young reporter fueled by ambition, and the ink on Deck's first NBA contract was barely dry. Years later, they've climbed so high and lost so much, but one thing hasn't changed. The attraction that simmered between them in a locker room before is still there. With success like theirs, everything has been possible . . . except them. But that was then. The only question is...what about now? Grab your copy today or read FREE in Kindle Unlimited! Amazon: https://amzn.to/2S1Q20Q Amazon Worldwide: http://mybook.to/HoopsHoliday Add HOOPS Holiday to Goodreads: http://bit.ly/2EU5RVg ** Hoops Holiday consists of FULL-COURT PRESS, a HOOPS novella originally published in the TEAM PLAYER Anthology. It has been expanded with all-new, never before published content & epilogue. It also includes Christmas-themed bonus material for LONG SHOT (Iris & August) and BLOCK SHOT (Banner & Jared). *All HOOPS Stories are standalone, and can be enjoyed individually or in order. 4 Star Review by AshleyI love Kennedy Ryan's Hoops series gang so seeing this side of the game was a true delight. Hoops Holiday was a delicious little read. It was sexy and fun and witty and had me glued to my kindle. The first meeting between Avery and MacKenize was a mix of flirty and serious and I could feel the tension rippling right off the page. Flash forward a handful of years and these two are back in each other's orbit. And this time Mac is determined to get the chance he always wanted with Avery. I liked that she was a little broken. That she had lived and suffered and still found a way to chase her dream. But she was scarred and held her pain like a badge of honor. Until MacKenzie, using his charm and kindness, got her to open up and share the burden on her heart. This book was a slow-burning second chance romance that had me swooning and smiling rooting for these two to get on the same page. I think my favorite thing was that even when Hoops Holiday was over, their journey wasn't. It's still open to possibility and my fingers are crossed tight that Kennedy Ryan will bring me more of them.
Excerpt: Soft and fresh like petals.I’m a jock. Not a dumb one, but a jock nonetheless. I don’t describe a woman’s lips as soft and fresh or compare a kiss to flowers. Besides the few years I was married to Tara, if it opened its legs and said yes or please, I fucked it. I always rushed it. A man’s got needs, but I got in and I got out. This woman, this kiss, I have to savor. I’d be a fool not to. It’s a first kiss. I understand the difference now between the first time you kiss someone, and a first kiss. This is a discovery of tongues and lips and heat. An introduction of our souls, if that doesn’t sound too pussy-ish. It’s how I feel, though. Like as our lips brush back and forth, as our tongues tangle, as I taste her, mouthful by delicious mouthful, I’m learning her secrets. I’m telling her mine. My hand slides from the door to flatten into the warmth of her back through the silk blouse, bringing her incrementally closer. The air shifts and takes the shape of lust; assumes the form of want. The sound of her moaning, the slight lift and fall of her breasts against my chest, testifies that she feels it, too. The elevator dings, and our bodies go still even as we keep exchanging breaths and heartbeats through our clothes; even though my mouth is still poised above hers. I have her against the door, and every curve of her body is impressing itself on me, making sure I’ll never forget how right we fit together. I look over my shoulder toward the elevator. The doors open, but no one gets off. That interruption was enough to bring her back to her senses, though. God knows I can’t find mine. “Um . . . you should go,” she whispers, a muscle rippling along the smooth line of her jaw. I bend to breathe over her mouth, so she can taste our kisses lingering on my lips. “Or you could invite me in.” Her scent and the warmth of her body take my senses hostage. I smell her and want to kiss her again so badly it stings my taste buds. Her eyes already regret the last few moments I thought were so perfect. I can’t calm my emotions or my body that quickly. “You don’t want to come in, Deck.” “I assure you I do.” A short laugh, deceptively light, breezes past her lips. She glances down to the floor and shakes her head. “I’d make the worst one-night stand ever,” she says. “One-night stand?” I take her chin in hand and lift, forcing her to look at me. “I’ve waited a long time for this path to be clear. No conflict of interest. No other people standing in our way. I don’t know exactly what I want, Avery, but it’s damn sure more than one night.”
