I rather enjoyed this book, but was also disappointed. If I'm remembering correctly, at the beginning, Maya eludes to Zeke choking her while they fool around, but other than a bit of flogging, there wasn't much kink in this book, which was very disappointing. I was looking forward to that.

I do like Zeke and Maya's relationship, however, I feel that with Zeke having left Maya for two years because of his relationship to her, he did not put up that much of a fight when he decided to pursue a sexual relationship with her. I feel that if he truly thought that they could not be anything ever, he would have been more adamant and reluctant to change the nature of their relationship.

This is my first Abby Gale book, and it's an ARC, so I don't know how her writing style is once a book has been edited. And I debated whether or not to include this in my review because I wasn't sure if it would be consider part of the editing, which is usually done after bloggers receive the arc. There were many sentences that did not flow. Individual sentences, not sentences strung together. There would be words missing or the wrong form/tense of a verb being used and it just became disruptive at times.

Overall I give this book 3.5 stars

Abby Gale is an international author. She is an avid reader, former blogger, and a pharmacist. She writes whatever storyline sucks her in, but mostly her books will be erotica with some darkness in it.
