It all started with the bereavement flowers with my name on them.
Not the best way to wake up, right? I work in a flower shop. I know a funeral arrangement when I see one.
I know a killer when I see one, too. And one is standing in my hospital room right now, straight behind the man who saved my life.
I canât tell anyone the truth, because thatâs the fastest way to really die. So I do the next best thing. I âloseâ my memory.
I fake my amnesia.
Pretending not to remember a brutal attempted murder has its perks. The killer is backing down, spending less time around me, loosening the noose.
The less I claim to recall, the more my rescuer, Duff, works to help me âremember.â I hate lying to him.
But he doesnât understand that my memory is dangerous. To me. And to him.
Fooling everyone isnât easy. Itâs the hardest thing Iâve ever done.
Except itâs starting to look like Iâve been fooling myself.
In more ways than one.

![]() Brittanys rating: 3 of 5 stars I feel that this book had so much potential, but it kind of just fell short. It just need more oomph, it lacked anything gripping. I felt that the main character, with her "memory loss" and trying to make it seem like she doesn't remember who killed her just kept going around and around and around, and it was actually boring and annoying. There wasn't much romance in this at all. There was a kiss at the end, and I could tell that they were supposed to be falling for each other, but it needed more to really have that come across. It just seemed linear, like there was stuff that was supposed to be happening, but I just didn't feel it. The last line does pack a little punch, but not enough that makes me crazy about needing the next book. View all my reviews
