Oh my heart, Catherine Cowles, what have you done to me? Fractured Sky is the book I've been waiting for since this series began and it was everything I wanted and so much more.

My chest hurt living those terrifying days with Shiloh when she was a child. But man did it soar at the strong and resilient woman she had become. So brave and gentle but still hurting. Trying to be someone besides the girl this thing happened to. And she found that safe place in Ramsey.

The man that healed the broken. The man the town shunned. The man who saw Shiloh for all that she was and longed to be. She gave him a safe place to put the hopes he never thought he could dream. A future with love and a family. If only trouble would leave them alone...

There was this constant looming threat against Shiloh that they just couldn't seem to get ahead of. Throw in complications with Aiden and Elliott (who will steal your heart) and it added up to a jaw dropping, pulse pounding conclusion. I'm still wrapping my head around the twist that came out of nowhere. 

I am still reeling after finishing Shiloh and Ramsey's epic romance. It was full of healing and acceptance, forgiveness and sacrifice, family and love. It was emotional, heartfelt, and tender. And while saying goodbye to Wolf Gap is bittersweet, I know it is a place I'll go visit again and again.

“Live with you?” she squeaked. “We’ve only ever spoken twice.”
My world tilted sideways at that truth. I didn’t let people I didn’t truly know onto my property, let alone invite them to live there. But I kept right on talking. “I’ve got a guest cabin.”
I’d let one other person live there—a friend of someone I’d known from prison. It was a favor I’d only done for the brother who’d watched my back in that hellhole. But Boden had moved out months ago into some fancy lodge with his fiancée, Laiken. The guest cabin was just sitting empty.
I saw Shiloh turn the idea over in her mind. “I don’t want to make you do that. I know you don’t like people on your property.”
I hated it. But Shiloh wasn’t people. She was something else altogether. The truth was, she’d become a touchstone over the last several years. And I had a burning urge to help. To protect. Maybe because I knew how it felt to believe there was no way out. Maybe because I saw those wings of hers that had been so badly clipped. The offer might’ve been reckless, but I couldn’t find it in me to care.
