Jax
I’m a virgin, but I don’t want to be. I just want to get it over with, so I made a list. I held interviews. (I know, I’m a total Type A.) The winner is Sebastian Rathbone. Grade A Beefcake who plays defense for the Grizzlies’ Rugby team. Manwhore extraordinaire. So basically, a professional. The problem? My best friend, Matt. For some reason, he wanted me to pick him. I’d never choose him because then I’d fall in love and I remember the hell that was middle school. Now that he’s grown into his head and feet, and he is by definition also Grade A Beefcake, there’s even less chance he’d ever feel more than friendship for me. Why put myself through that? I thought I’d locked all of that away until a game of Spin the Bottle makes me doubt everything. Especially the lie I’ve been telling myself about not being in love with my best friend. Matt Sebastian Rathbone? Dude. No way. He’s not a bad guy, but he’s not the guy for Jax. If anyone knows the guy for Jax, that’s me. It hurts I wasn’t even consulted. Actually, what bothers me the most is that she didn’t ask me to be the one. To punch her V-Card, I mean. I’m pretty good at what I do, or so I’ve been told. It should be a good memory. Something special. And lemme tell you, Rathboner isn’t going to make it special for anyone. I don’t like it that there’s this part of her she’s going to give to someone else, but I guess I have to get right with it. I’m the best friend. Not the lover. Except when faced with losing her, I’ll have to take a spin on chance just one more time.

I read this book in one sitting and it was one of those that sucked you right in and you couldn't seem to take a break from reading because it was just that good. I don't think I encountered a boring moment in this book and I loved it! Jax and Matt, best friends forever who would tell each other everything and even went as far as seeing each other naked before without any worries or cares in the world. But once Jax told Matt that she wanted to get rid of her v-card, he seemed to have changed instantly, like he wanted her to pick him and she wouldn't because she was afraid of ruining their friendship if they took it to that level. So what do you do when your feelings start changing for your best friend from just being platonic to actually developing real feelings for that person, like LOVE kind of feelings? And it was so funny that neither one could see their love shine for each other but everyone else could!! I thought this book was fun. I loved the whole aspect of the spin the bottle and how everyone just got along great. There were no hard feelings when playing the game. It had many of hot moments throughout. Sara Wylde is a new author to me and I have to say that I enjoyed this book so much that I plan on continuing to read her. I am planning on starting with book 1 in this series as I loved how all the characters interacted and everyone got along great. Jax and Matt were one heck of a pair that sometimes made me want to jump in and knock some sense into them, especially Matt. Jax was quirky and funny and she had the best sense of humor. I loved how she didn't hold back and sometimes spoke aloud without knowing so, and that's what made her that much more funnier.
