Let me get this out of the way, I am not the biggest fan of marriage of convenience books. That being said, I Willa Nash blew me away with this one. The Bluff was emotional and sexy and had that touch devious in only the way a small-town can.

I adored Everly. Yes she was hiding herself away but she was lonely and afraid. Always looking over her shoulder and wary to trust after the ordeal that sent her to Calamity. But she was kind and honest in her words and actions. And Hux was the epitome of a broody, reclusive artist. So closed off and hiding in his own way. But one passionate night ignited into something neither of them planned on.

I loved seeing them both come out of their shell. Embrace who they were and who they wanted to be. Especially as it meant standing up to the people who did their best to bring them down. As their walls slowly came down, their personalities and genuine warmth shone through.

Full of family and friendship, The Bluff is small town romance at its finest. Hux and Everly's relationship may've started out as fake, but the feelings became very real. I loved their witty, flirty banter. The thoughtful gestures. The seemingly small moments that meant so much. And that ending, be still my happy heart it was just perfect.
