I have been waiting to get back to Ardnoch since Samantha Young dropped Regan off at the gates at the end of the first book in the series. And let me tell you this return to the Highlands did not let me down at all.

As much as I didn't think I would, I adored Regan. When she landed on her sister's doorstep with nothing but hope I knew there was more to her story. And when I learned all that she had been through I couldn't help but root for her. She was brave and resilient. Tough but also tender hearted. And the softest place in her heart was reserved for Thane and his children, Lewis and Eilidh (who were too adorable for words).

Oh Thane, a protector with a heart that had been shredded by loss. I loved how fiercely he loved his children and would do what it took to give them a life of happiness. It was only right that he had questions about Regan's reliability after what shook out for Robyn. But what he couldn't deny was the pull to this woman. They way she drew him in with her kindness and also the shadows behind her eyes that she couldn't always hide.

There was absolutely NO denying the chemistry between these two. It jumped off the page. But getting Thane to let go and truly let Regan in was another story. But when a threat from the past resurfaces and things get a bit chaotic, it was exactly the perspective Thane needed to get his act together.

Full of redemption, family, healing and second-chances, There With You had me hanging on every word. Regan and Thane's slow-burning romance with a touch of the forbidden was drop kicked me right in the chest. And that ending...cue the belly flutters...it was perfect.
