Add to that her dark, soulful eyes, pouty lips, and a body covered in gorgeous art, and I knew I needed to make her mine.
She’s a walking contradiction of sass and strength and determination, hidden by insecurity and self-doubt. She’s everything I could ever want or need, but she doesn’t see what I see.
I want to take away her pain. To be the one to make her laugh, to make all her dreams come true. I need to prove to her that I’m not him, that no matter what, I’ll be right there beside her. Loving her.
If only she could see herself through my eyes, she would understand we were made for each other.
![]() ![]() ![]() My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was a beautiful, beautiful story about a woman who had self-esteem issues (thanks to her douche of a husband) who knew how to always put her down. She was the type that would never talk back and would only bow down and accept all his lashes and insults. Until the day came when she didn't have to put up with it anymore. Quinn meets Lachlan at her brothers' tattoo parlor and from that moment on, it seemed like they got along great, despite their age differences. He grew extremely close to Quinn's daughter, which obviously was a plus for her. I see nothing wrong with a younger man/older woman just like I see nothing wrong with an older man/younger woman. I mean the heart wants what it wants regardless of age right! I get that Quinn had her issues and was a little on the defense when it came to Lachlan, I don't blame her. After all, she did go through a lot with her husband and didn't want to ever go through that again. Lachlan was a perfect gentleman and would do anything and everything in his power to show Quinn that he genuinely cared for her and found her extremely attractive. He actually loved all her curves that her husband obviously didn't. All in all I loved the premise of the story and the characters. I totally understood her hesitation and I commend her for being more careful in how she went about a new relationship, especially with a much younger guy. 4 Stars
