Marni Mann is my unicorn author. Anything and everything she writes I will read without having to read the synopsis because I already know I'm going to love whatever she writes.

When We Met actually tugged my heart in so many ways. You have two people who meet under a tragic circumstance. But meeting each other will actually change their lives. They both live to work, they hardly have a social life and all they ever think about is work, work, work! But Caleb seems to be a man who not only works, he enjoys taking vacations and doing daring things and he loves the outdoors, but overall he's a workaholic. Whitney, all she's ever dreamed of was traveling the world and getting to see all these different countries and experience them, but her work doesn't allow her any time off. She works her tail off and takes extra shifts and she's all about helping her co-workers when they need her and caring for the patients at the hospital. She is the most caring person that you will encounter.

But when Caleb and Whitney meet, all is about to change and you have to think about what it is that you really want in life and whether it's the right path to choose.

Marni Mann, you stole my heart with Caleb and Whitney and for a second there, I thought I was going to have to rant because I wasn't liking the route this was heading, until the course changed and made me one happy girl. I get that not every book has a happy ending, but I do love my happy endings. I hate sobbing until I can't anymore. When We Met certainly had me tear up a time or two. But the outcome came out exactly the way it needed to.

I absolutely adore and love and will cherish this book for eternity.
