This book completely blew me away. I don't know what I was expecting - I knew it was going to involve the mafia and a really superbly alpha male, but everything that I was expecting was completely surpassed! I loved this book - and I CANNOT wait for the next installment.

We meet Julietta, a young, sassy and carefree young girl - who knows how to have fun and is uninhibited. She lives her life being a good girl, but she also is not afraid to take risks and explore what life has to offer her. This thrusts her into the life of Rafael Lencioni. He is everything she shouldn't be looking for - he is taken, he is temporary, he makes her want more than anything ever has in her entire life. He has also told her in no uncertain terms that although their relationship is exclusive and long term there is to be no commitment between the two of them - he sets down strict terms and expects her to adhere to them. If she doesn't - he leaves.

Julietta is a strong and fiercely independent woman, and I love this about her - but the love of a strong man, makes her vulnerable. Although she fights her feelings towards Rafael initially, the boundaries soon become blurred and they are both left at an impasse.

This book was magnificent - it is everything you have come to expect from Bella Jewel's writing - it is full of passion, alpha male and smoking hot scenes. The hero is rough and tough, but you can feel his emotion from the page. The heroine is also tough as nails, but soft where it counts. Although things aren't easy between the two of them, you cannot help but root for them, and hope that they can overcome the obstacles facing them.

It is a book where you shouldn't be hoping that heroine ends up with the hero - he isn't a good man, and the circumstances surrounding the two of them aren't ideal, but I couldn't help but love both of them. I love the harshness of Rafael. I love that he is all male and very much in charge. He is every woman's dream (even if she doesn't want to admit it).

This book gets a magnificent 5 stars from me - another amazing read from the incredible Bella Jewel. I cannot wait for the second installment of this series! I am looking forward to seeing how Marcus Tandem is going to be inserted into this series. He is my favourite hero o of Bella Jewel's - however, he may be dethroned by the incredible Rafael Lencioni.
