From the tragic start that changed the trajectory of Cian's life, I was rooting for something good to happen to him. That something good came in the form of Maeve Bell. Quiet. Smart. Bookish and with a big heart. A heart that saw past the anger and pain and into the heart of a man who had lived his fair share of pain. A man that had so much more to offer than vengeance. A man with the capacity to love if he would let himself. There was no denying the spark between Maeve and Cian but it was more than attraction. There was understanding and patience.
