Cold Snap is my first Toni Anderson read in quite some time. But man! I was here for it! Right from the start I knew it was going to be a wild ride that kept me guessing. I could feel Grady's trepidation at returning to his hometown. Especially under the guise of his career that he had worked so hard for being up in the air. The one bright spot, the woman taking space in his basement, Brynn. I adored her. Brave and kind and fighting her own emotional battle. There was no denying the spark of attraction between that was becoming something bigger than they knew what to do with. But with small town politics, old grudges and a crime spree that had everyone on edge it was all they could do to try to keep their heads on straight as they tried to stay a step ahead. Brynn and Grady's romance warped in mystery and intrigue had me hanging on every word. I couldn't read fast enough to find out what would happen next. And when the twist hit...my jaw was on the floor. Talk about completely unexpected! I didn't see that coming at all but it worked so perfectly to bring everything full circle.
