Sofia has been pining after Antonio for as long as she can remember. She knows it's futile because he's already a taken man. He is promised to someone else is going to marry a woman that is someone strong enough to stand by his side, he really doesn't care (at first) he does what his father always asks of him ... until he sees Sofia in a different light. She no longer looks like just his little sister's best friend, she's all grown now and she's beautiful. She's docile, sweet, giving and always putting everyone else above her. The way their friendship/love develops is sweet. I loved how possessive and jealous Antonio could get at times and although he couldn't claim Sofia as his, he made her feel special behind closed doors.
