Don't be fooled. Don't make excuses for me. I am not a good man. I've seen things no one should, done things no one should talk about. Honor and conscience have no place in my life. But I've fought and I've survived. I've had to. The first time I saw her dancing on that seedy stage in that second rate club, I felt my heart pulse for the first time. Keelyn Foster was too young, too vibrant for this place, and I knew in an instant that I would make her mine. But first I had to climb my way to the top. I had to have something more to offer her. I'm here now, money is no object and I have no equal. Except for her. She's disappeared. But don't worry, I will find her and claim her. She will be mine. Like I said, don't be fooled. I am not the devil in disguise… I'm the one front and center. Review by Lorena Wow, Jay Crownover has won me over with this dark, sexy, riveting book that had me on my toes starting from the first page until the end. I can't explain how much this book has won my heart over because it was just that good! You get a man who is broken beyond repair and he has done bad, bad things in life and all because of the way he was brought up. But the one and only thing or person who could make him feel like a person and alive is Key. When he met her he just knew she was going to be his one day. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....but some day. Key was a stripper who had had troubles as a youth. She wasn't brought up by the best parents and she eventually found a way out of that hell hole she called home. She became a stripper and that was her escape. Until she met Nassir. But she knew Nassir wasn't good for her even though she felt a strong pull towards him. So she did the one thing she was good at and that was run. She moved to another state and began a new life. Little did she know that Nassir had kept tabs on her every move since she left. He was protecting her without her even knowing. He came looking for her when he knew the time was right and it was time for Key to come back home. Key knew that her life belong at The Point and would eventually return, she did, once Nassir came looking for her and found out the reasons for him seeking her out. Key and Nassir may have had a complicated relationship from the start and they were both screwed up, but they fit together like a glove. They were meant to be together and boy did they make a hell of a team. Not only did they make a nice couple, but they were great business partners. Nassir may have been dangerous and put her life in danger, but Key knew that from the get go and at first she wasn't okay with it, but then as time passed, she knew she either had to go all in or stay all out when it came to Nassir. Key and Nassir have won a spot in my heart. He may have been a bad man and have done bad things in life but when it came to the things he loved and cherished.....Nassir wouldn't allow anything or anyone to hurt it or them. This book consumed my every breath. I was drawn like a moth to a flame The whole book, title, cover just sucked me up and had my undivided attention. Once you start reading this book, you can't put it down! A total 4.5 stars for this Compelling, dangerous, sexy book!
