Brynn Allen has always been ambitious. If there’s something she wants, she goes after it. That attitude has driven her to build a successful career. As more and more people begin to notice her when she’s out, Brynn believes it’s time to be proactive in another aspect of her life. Her safety. Jake Burns was taken with Brynn the moment she walked through the door. The woman’s beautiful figure is beyond impressive, but it’s her determination to keep herself protected that he’s most attracted to. He’s never met anyone as driven and focused as her. When a creepy stalker comes after her, Brynn is going to need to rely on everything Jake has taught her to stay safe. Because she wants a future with him, and she has every intention of staying alive to make that happen, too. 3.5 Heart Review by Ashley The opening of Intention got me right in the chest and A.K. Evans kept my emotions on high alert all the way through this one. There was something about Brynn that I really connected with. Her love of movement and the outdoors. Her willingness to try new things and determination to challenge herself. It's exactly how she found herself at the doors of Harper Security Ops and in the path of Jake, her new instructor. There was no denying the spark between these two. But Jake didn't want to welcome anyone into the lifetime of hurt he was carrying around. Too bad for him because Brynn went for what she wanted and she wanted a chance. It didn't take long for their lust to become so much more. If only everyone was happy about them being together... While the suspense/mystery was mild throughout the entire book (I wanted more of it if I'm being completely honest), at the end it took a dark and twisted turn that had me holding my breath. But that ending...be still my swooning heart. It was heartfelt and a wonderful full circle moment that left me more than satisfied. About the Author A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over forty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars! When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.
