New short stories from some of my favorite people AND helping one of the book world's down...no brainer. Crush by Adriana Locke Oh my yes! It's no secret that I love me some Adriana Locke and hers was the first story I flipped to. The first meeting between Delaney and Boone was unconventional to say the least. Right from the get-go, I loved their flirty, witty banter. There was no awkwardness between these two strangers. Boone went for it and Delaney was more than happy to reciprocate his advances. I think my favorite thing about Crush is that it is open. There is no way that Boone and Delaney's story is done. And those brothers are ripe for a series (pretty please). Roses for Rachel by Sam JD HUNT Roses for Rachel was bar far the most fantastical of the stories I've read so far. I liked that both characters had loved and lost. It was a fight against unexpected emotions for these two but their instant connection couldn't be denied. Where I Escape by Michelle Dare Where I Escape was my first nibble of writing from Michelle Dare and I really liked it. The romance between Finn and Blaire was sweet and flirty, sexy and fun. These friends-to-lovers had been through a lot over the years and it was nice to see them find some happiness, together. I will for sure be going back and reading about the other couples that are mentioned in this one because they sound just like my favorite kind of book- romance with a taste of danger. Line 39 by Verlene Landon Line 39 is my first mini read from Verlene Landon and it was cute. Everything from the the first run in to the negotiations between Lena and Rue were sweet and laced with anticipation. I liked Lena's no nonsense attitude and that she didn't stop living because of what happened to her. And Rue was such a gentleman. He saw the woman and not just what had happened to her. Fingers crossed these two come back in the future because their story is far from over. As much as I enjoyed the stories within, I love what Jordyn's Army stands for even more. Community. Coming together and lifting up one of our own when they need it most. Meet the Authors Heidi McLaughlin https://heidimclaughlin.com/
