Thia is prim and proper.

Bear is leather and lawless.

It will never work between them.

It's a lie they almost believe.

4.5 Star Review by Ashley

T.M. Frazier has once again made me see just how good a bad boy can be. I fell pretty hard for Bear in the first books of this series (which you don't have to read to love this one but I recommend that you do). So to get his story and learn all the ins and outs of his personality was something I was really looking forward to. AND that cover- just gorgeous #CoverJunkie here. This one started out with a literal bang and the the hits just kept on coming.

Bear, what a perfect name for this guy. A beast of a man- tall with muscles in all the right places, tattoos over much of his skin and a hard shell. He's doing his best to get by after the fall out with his father and the Beach Bastards. But when he gets "the call" he comes back to sort the mess out. He was ready to come in, clean up and get out. What he got in actuality was so much more. He got Thia- banged up but not broken. She was just the thing he needed to help him get his act together.

I have to say that while this is Bear's story, Thia really stole the show for me. This girl has boundless strength and is wise beyond her years. My heart was racing and my palms were sweating with the situations she found herself in, more than once. But her inner will, her instinct to run, her ability to keep a steady hand saved her. I loved seeing her come into her own, finding her voice and taking risks. But what I loved the most of all was how she changed Bear, for the better.

Things are intense between these two to say the least. There is death and danger around every corner and no one knows who they can really trust. And just when they think they've got something figured out, Bear went and proved that he really did have a heart of gold under his rough and tough exterior. It was a side that only Thia brought out in him, and he brought it out in her as well. I also really liked being able to catch up with King and Ray, and Preppy too. But that final twist, at the very end...oh my wow! Yes, its a cliffhanger but it was so brilliantly executed that I can't even be mad about it. T.M. Frazier left me trying to flip for pages that didn't exist. And be sure you read that little, pulse pumping excerpt from the next book in the series, Soulless (I need it- soon!)

About the Author

Picture
T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier resides in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and three feisty fur kids.

She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she specialized in public speaking. After years working in real estate and new home construction, she decided it was finally time to stop pushing her dreams to the back burner and pursue writing seriously.

In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents. It only took her twenty years to start the next one. It will not be about hamsters.
