I was completely flabbergasted when I finished reading Pennies! So intense, raw, painful and intriguing This story will have you completely captivated if you like to read dark romance novels. I think with time Ms. Peppers' books keep getting more and more intense and I love that because it makes me come back for more from her. Ms. Peppers is a phenomenal writer and her books are, out of this world, fantastic. In Pennies you meet a young girl who lives life without any hope or expectations after living the life she has been living but then a mysterious man comes in and it seems like time stands still when he's around. She's not allowed to look, feel, touch but when he's around that's all she aches to do. She doesn't speak a word and that's by choice, not because she can't. She's a mystery to men and this one particular young man has been captivated by her and is highly intrigued and wants to know more of her but she doesn't allow that with anyone. The challenges this series is going to be bringing us are going to be extremely difficult to have to wait and wait and wait to continue reading because they leave you off with the hopes of getting the next installment like RIGHT NOW! I have to say that Ms. Peppers has become one of my favorite authors because her books are so full of mystery, intrigue and so highly intense 5 phenomenal stars for this great start to a series! ABOUT THE AUTHOR  Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex... her books have sex. She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends.
