Baylor Torryn Gray is bold, brash, and has a reputation that rivals even mine. She should be terrifying, but I’m only intrigued, captivated by the way she doesn’t need to be the center of attention. Coming off a season where my past exploits haunted me, I’ve vowed to be more careful about who I let into my bed. Someone who won’t distract me. Who won’t attempt to manipulate or take advantage. Someone like Torryn, who isn’t easily impressed. Who doesn’t care about falling in love or what I can do with a puck. All I have to do is convince her I’m more than capable of giving her what she needs. Hint–it starts with o and ends with her screaming my name.I guess it’s a good thing I’m well known for my talent but even better known for what I can do on a mattress. Torryn There are three things that are important to me My family My best friend My future If it doesn’t help me protect or serve those things, I don’t have time or energy for it. As my stalker grows bolder, Baylor grows more and more protective. We grow closer until even our friends are starting to look at us sideways. But haven’t they ever heard of friends with benefits before? TropesHockey RomanceForced ProximityFriends with BenefitsIdiots to Lovers 5 Heart Review by Lorena Baylor and Tarryn were such a joy to read about. Both of them were exactly what their friends thought of them as -- IDIOTS at times because they couldn't see what everyone else saw in them. They both were falling madly in love or more like they were in love but were in denial (rolling eyes) and every one of their friends kept hinting to them that that's what they were (smh).
Baylor and Tarryn met at the hockey house and Tarryn's friend took her just for the sake of it. When they got to talking and Baylor started flirting with Tarryn he knew she was the type of girl that he could hook up with and didn't have to worry about her being clingy and vice versa. And what started off as a little hook-up turned up as hooking up almost all the time. It seemed like neither one could stay away from the other. They both had a pretty bad reputation but neither one seemed to care what people thought of them, which was fine with them both. They both got along great and that's all that mattered until someone started stalking Tarryn and then things got more serious and Baylor took that crap serious and it almost made Baylor realize that Tarryn meant more to him than just a hook up. I seriously loved these two. Tarryn was one of those girls who didn't give a hoot what people thought about her or if they called her names. She knew what she was and what she liked and she went for what she wanted and that's all that mattered, that and her family were her number 1 priority ... until Baylor came in the picture and then he also became an important person in her life. The banter was hilarious and at the same time it got a bit serious too and a little emotional towards the end. Tarryn and Baylor would get pretty hot and heavy throughout the book (yum) and there were parts that made you almost bite your nails. This was a total thumbs up for me :)
