Jordan was not the type of guy I expected to sweep me off my feet. I knew of the
crowd he ran with, and they were bad news. But beyond that tough, biker exterior
was a sweetheart, and one that treated me like his princess.
I liked being the good girl with the bad boy, but I never expected this. What
I saw on his computer…I thought I knew him.

But I was wrong. So wrong…

If there was ever a bad time for me to fall
for a chick it was now, but from the moment I saw Leeta, she had me. There was
something special about her, and I had to have her. But I also had a job to do,
and I couldn’t let her distract me from that. I couldn’t let her discover that
side of me either. But she’s not stupid, and I know she’s getting close. God
knows what she’ll do if she discovers the truth.

Or what she thinks is the truth.

If you’ve read anything by Missy Johnson, you know how amazing she is. And
she writes really fast, too, which is awesome. Her newest release, Provoke, was
no exception to the greatness that is Missy’s writing.
Leeta Drake met Mace Jordan in a sketchy bar, where she and her best friend
were picking up some weed. Mace, saving her and her BFF from two big, burly
guys, swooped in, pretending to be her boyfriend.Soon, though, that turned into a reality, with Mace and
Leeta creating a relationship. Leeta is a lawyer who is dating a guy whose
family has a big criminal background. Mace is different though, or so she
believes. When she finds some things on his laptop that are way past
inappropriate, she is hit with the question of how to handle it.
Mace ends up kidnapping Leeta, so she will
listen to him. What he has to say changes everything, and Leeta and Mace team up to fight some bad guys.
First off, a warning. This book mentions rape.
There are no actual graphic scenes depicting a rape, but just in case you needed to know.
This book was phenomenal. I absolutely love
Missy Johnson. She is a fantastic writer with a very vivid imagination. She is very descriptive, which allows you, the reader, to paint a picture in your head of what exactly is happening. That’s a huge plus for me.
The story flowed really well. It alternated between Leeta and Mace’s points of view, and we all love reading in the male perspective. There are some erotic scenes in this novel, which again, Missy is really good at. I mean, she’s basically good at everything.
I give this novel five stars, because it kept me on my toes and I
absolutely loved the characters. I could feel the angst, the emotions, the fear.
She does such a great job at allowing the readers to crawl inside the story,
putting themselves in the shoes of the main character.
Provoke was amazing. Absolutely amazing. I love Mace and Leeta. Together they are unstoppable. They are a perfect pair, one
of my favorite book couples.

Great job on this five-star book
Missy!

About Missy Johnson

Picture
Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she's a cat, a cat who thinks he's a dog...you get the picture).

When she's not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
