Clay and Nova are seriously like the perfect couple. I am loving this trope at the moment (sports) and can't seem to get enough of it. Piper Lawson has become a new to me author and I cannot believe I haven't read her prior to starting this series and I'm going to have to go back and read some more of her backlog books! Okay, Nova and Clay didn't end up in good terms in the first book but in this 2nd book, Nova is a new person and she is a more determined and stronger person and she is here to show that to everyone, especially Clay. Clay is going to prove to Nova that he made a huge mistake and he is going to redeem himself one way or another. He has realized that this girl means more to him. The banter, the action, the angst was just the right amount in this book. Like I said, I am absolutely loving these characters and the storyline and can't wait to see where Piper is going to take us in the 3rd book!
