Gaige Ward, acquisition expert for Blackbridge Security, obtains things for the team.

As far as your mind can take you is how far he can go.

If it exists, he can get his hands on it.

If he can’t, he’ll find someone who can.

He never fails.

As with all things when growing in popularity, Blackbridge is also taking on scrutiny.

His boss, in an attempt to counter being called misogynistic and discriminatory against women, needs a female with the ability to handle the same tasks his guys can.

Leighton Redmond fits the bill perfectly.

Only, according to her she isn’t for sale, for employment or otherwise.

Gaige loves a challenge but has NEVER had to fight so hard to procure something for his boss.

Maybe next time he’ll think twice before having a one-night stand the day before a very important business meeting…

3 Heart Review by Ashley

Talk about starting a book with a bang! The opening of Sleight of Hand was steamy and set the tone for how things would be between Leighton and Gaige the whole way through. Plus getting to catch up with the rest of the crew, especially Deacon as a dad is always a treat.

I won't lie, I wasn't a fan of Gaige until about 60% into the book. Simply put he was a jerk. The way he treated Leighton, lied to her and shamelessly flirted this way through their meetings wasn't that enjoyable. But I loved how Leighton held her own. How she didn't let his childlike behavior deter her from the task at hand and she laid down the 'rules' of how things were going to be with them.

It was when Gaige showed her the side of him that wasn't the playboy lawyer that things took a turn. She was forced to face her feelings. So was he. And did they ever make a mess of things.

To me, this book didn't quite have the same feel as the others in the BBS series. There wasn't really a danger element and there was A LOT of drama. Granted, most of it was of their own making, and lack of communication, but it was also just enough to keep me hanging on for them to get out of their own way.

But be still my heart...that ending...my eyes were misty as things played out in the final few chapters. And the way Marie James set up the next book in the series has me excited to hang with these guys again because Finn!!!

About the Author

Let's see...where to begin...

I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I'm not writing; I'm reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
