First, hate. Then, want. But in the end? Heartbreak.

My celebrity life was supposed to be easy, and this movie was the biggest break of my career. But from the moment Officer Levi Fox gave me a speeding ticket on my way into town, he’s been nothing but a thorn in my side.

Dominant. Cocky. Callous.
Midnight blue eyes, a bad attitude, and muscles for days, he’s exactly the kind of man I should avoid.

But as the Cold, Montana Police Department’s official movie liaison, he’s taken up a permanent place in my life that I can’t shake.

We fight. A lot.

Then, we kiss—and my carefully crafted hate toward him no longer feels so much like hate.

I’m falling
falling
falling.
But how often do alpha-jerks cushion the landing?

Note: Levi and Ivy’s story will continue in Book Two--Cold.

Star Review by Ashley

Well cue the hand holding because Max Monroe just gave me emotional whiplash with the first book in their trilogy. Yes trilogy. Yes that means this ends on a quasi cliffhanger. Yes, I'm ready for the next book. And yes, it was awesome. While Stone is a different from Monroe's usual rom-com's, this one still has a good handful of humor and some steamy moments sprinkled throughout.

I liked the dark premise that this book was based on. I liked that Ivy was trying to do the incredible woman that Grace is justice. I liked that she didn't back down when the broody, arrogant hot cop started giving her grief. I just liked her. And I liked that Levi challenged her. What I didn't like was how rude he was about it. I get that he was upset over the circumstances of Ivy's arrival in his small town. I get that the events were still raw and touched something in him that he wasn't ready to face but there was no need for his meanness.

Feelings- Levi didn't know what to do for them. As much as they angered him, they also confused and pained him. He had been numb for so long that he didn't know what to do with them or the woman who stirred them up. Just as it was looking like a breakthrough might be coming, BOOM! unexpected twist and tears. Gah! I am so ready to see what's next for Ivy with the plans that Levi is making.
