A grammy-winning rock star falls for a small-town girl in this all-new forbidden romance from author Carrie Elks.

Gray Hartson is coming home after years of playing to sold-out stadiums around the world. The tattooed singer is determined to build bridges with his sick father and reconnect with the family he left behind.

But then he meets her . . . the beautiful waitress with the smart mouth who makes him laugh more than he has in years.

One small problem. She’s his ex-girlfriend’s little sister. The only woman he can’t have.

Maddie Clark was an awkward teenager when Gray left. Now she slings hash in a backwater diner, her dreams of being a famous concert pianist left in tatters.

Don’t ask her why. She’ll never tell. Strong women do what it takes to keep a roof over their heads.

Until he walks through the door and complicates everything.

Their attraction is wrong.

But foolish hearts never listen to reason.

Maybe he should write a song about that.

4 Heart Review by Lorena

Oh small town romances always get me all riled up because you know something is always bound to happen that the whole town will eventually find out, especially if they are well kept secrets!

Maddie is Ashleigh's younger sister who has always had a crush on Gray. Gray and Ashleigh dated when they were young teens but that was young love and well things change and Grayson got an opportunity of a lifetime in L.A. so he left to pursue his dream of becoming a singer/songwriter.

But when Gray returns home for a few months to rest after a long winded tour he finds himself at peace and not having the paparazzi or fans swarming him. He also finds himself attracted to Maddie, non other than his ex-girlfriend's little sister.

When Gray and Maddie start spending time together they find they have this ease and no-judgment zone kind of friendship that instantly turns into more. Gray finds himself really attracted to Maddie and not only because she's beautiful from the outside but also from the inside and she actually see's him for himself and not for the rockstar that he is.

Now, the complication of having Ashleigh find out about Maddie and Gray is going to be the challenge (or so we thought) until something comes out in the light about what happened to Maddie when she was in school up in New York that she has tried so hard to erase and make sure no one ever finds out. After dating Gray and Gray having an interview with a magazine, it seemed like that was the perfect opportunity for this secret to come out.

Now Maddie is going to be the talk of the town and that's the last thing she wanted. Can Gray and Maddie survive this scandal or will their love be broken forever!

This was a really cute small town kind of insta-love book that had me swooning. Gray was not only the perfect rockstar but he was also the perfect gentleman that just is too irresistible.
