I will say that at times things slowed down a bit, but I get it, that connection needed to be established. But when things were on, they were ON! I really liked Saverio. He knew his heart and purpose and that was Mia. She was his reason for all he did. Even when she tried to deny what was between them. Even when she tried to push him away. Even when she made an arrangement that would've made them both miserable for life, he wouldn't be deterred. Especially with a threat breathing down their neck. Whew! Talk about intense. It was a whirlwind of scheming and bullets and sacrifices. I honestly had no clue how it was all going to play out but I couldn't stop reading until I knew. Mia and Saverio's journey was equal parts sexy and suspenseful. And that ending...was just the happy they had always hoped for.
