Add in Carina Rose's knack for the unexpected emotional jab and it made picking up The Scout a no brainer. I absolutely adored Hannah. She was so resilient and smart. Doing all she could to raise her talented teenage son, Jimmy, to be a gentleman. But with their HS reunion looming and a dedication to the hometown hero, it was only a matter of time before her big secret was revealed.... Whew Cash! Swoon city that man. His love of the game oozed from the pages. But more than that, his love for Hannah that he never got over was palpable. And when faced with all he had missed being away for so long, it was a gut punch he didn't see coming. But it didn't take long for him to spring into action and go after what he had always wanted... These two were so meant to be together if only they could let the pain and resentment from their past go. I loved seeing them fall for the people they were in the here and now.
