Please read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book before starting this journey. 3.5 Heart Review by Ashley The Thief is my first read from Nikki J. Summers and it was dark. Much darker than I'm used to but for all the gory detail, I still couldn't stop reading. Talk about wrong place at the wrong time for Tyler and Jess but thank goodness The scenes that unfolded in the bank were harrowing. I felt breathless at points waiting to see just what would happen. And even when the chaos of the day was over, it wasn't really. Because Tyler and his band of brothers had their work cut out for them. There was a lot happening between Jess and Tyler. And while I wish there had been more of the quiet moments between them shared, I'm just glad they were able to turn the terrible situation that brought them back into each other's orbit into love.
