True Love, Book 1 - Discovering Us They wanted forever... but sometimes forever's not that easy. Ellen has loved Jagger since she was five and he was seven when they kissed through the chain link fence at school. She’s had their wedding planned since she was twelve and is ready for a happily ever after with him, but life just isn't that neat and tidy. Although they lost contact over the years, which broke her heart, during Jag's senior year in high school, sophomore Ellen catches his eye once again and their friendship is back on. When things between them gradually develop into something more, Ellen wants to give herself completely to Jag, but he’s not so sure he wants to risk their relationship in taking things to the next level. When Jag is drafted to the Dodgers as the hot, new pitcher of the team, Ellen decides to go with him, transferring colleges and leaving her friends and family behind. But things get more and more complicated when busy schedules, a slimy agent and a supermodel disrupt their lives, which makes Ellen question whether they’ll ever get their perfect forever. True Love, Book 2 – Finding Us They wanted forever... but does forever deserve a second chance? Jag Jensen and Ellen Love had been best friends their whole lives until he turned thirteen and started noticing girls his own age, but that didn't mean he stopped watching out for eleven-year-old Ellen. By his senior year in high school, baseball had taken the front seat in his life, with a scholarship to college and a pro career looming on the horizon, when sophomore Ellen caught his attention and they struck up their friendship again. Although Ellen wanted more, Jag didn't want to drag her into what he knew would be a crazy life, but love has a way of deciding one's future, and eventually they became a couple. Ellen followed him to California as he began his pro career, but his wild and hectic lifestyle screwed everything up. Now Jag is lost, realizing he's never been without his best friend in his life. Learning to live without Ellen doesn't settle well with him, so while trying to remain at the top of his career, he also wants to get his girl back, which proves to be more difficult than he thought it'd be. Will Ellen give him another chance or does that sort of thing only happen in the sappy romance novels she always used to read? Jag hopes she's willing to try again as he puts his heart on the line for the woman he knows will always be his forever and a day. True Love, Book 3 – Finally Us They wanted forever… but is forever really their destiny? After several misunderstandings and unsavory characters get in their way, Ellen Love and Jag Jensen have called it quits after nine years of being together. Now they find themselves in places with which they’re not accustomed: Ellen is trying to get used to the idea of dating another man, having never gone out with anyone other than Jag, while Jag is coping with an injury and the loss of baseball, a game he’s played for over twenty years. Neither is sure how to handle their new situation, but they’re dealing. When a surprise trade lands Jag right back in the middle of things and right back into Ellen’s life, new boyfriend and all, can he keep his cool and try to recover what they once had? Does Ellen still carry a torch for her first love or has she already fallen for her new baseball player, making it too late for them to start again? The fight is on as Jag goes head-to-head with Ellen’s new love interest as he tries proving to her that their love deserves another shot. ___________________________________________________________ REVIEW BY LORENA ![]() This series really made me one happy reader. I love reading books or series that are about couples being in love since they were children and once they've grown up, their love seems to be stronger and they have to fight for their love to stay strong. This was a very emotional, sad and happy book. It took a while for the happy to come along, but let me tell you....it was well worth it. The author did an exceptional job with this series, it was well written and I can't wait to read more from her. I will cherish this series and I will remember it as being one of my best series by far this year. Book 1: Ellen's POV: Jag and Ellen grew up together and always hung out together and were like best friends. Jag was 2 years older than El and was obviously growing up faster and once he became a teenager, well his eyes perked up and started noticing girls. He and El seemed to have drifted apart for several years but El always had him in her heart. But once El became a beautiful young girl, Jag noticed her and realized that he wanted her and he wanted her to be more than just his friend. Things started to develop between them and through this all, Jag was always a gentleman and never pressured El into anything even if she wanted to. He wanted to wait for the right time and that's what he did. They developed a beautiful relationship and once Jag got the offer to go pro, El decided that she wanted to follow him to wherever it was that he got drafted to and that's when their love got tested. People got in the way and rumors started flying. Could El trust Jag and believe that he only had eyes for her? Will Jag fall into temptation or will he be strong enough to be faithful to El? Both El and Jag suffer somewhat in this book and even though they suffer, they also have their wonderful and great moments. I've fallen in love with this series so far. It breaks my heart to see what these two individuals go through with lies and deceit that gets in the way of their happiness. Book 2: Jag's POV: Jag has lost the love of his life due to rumors and lies. He now has to decide if she is the person he loves and if she's worth fighting for. Jagger really works his tail off to try and get El back and it's going to be one hell of a fight to try and convince her that everything that has been said is nothing but lies. He would never in a million years cheat on El because he has never had eyes for anyone but her. El is conflicted and doesn't know if she should believe Jag or if it's best to just stay broken up. Jag goes over and beyond to prove to Ellen that she's it for him and he's never loved anyone but her. Can Jag convince her of his love, can Ellen believe him and take him back? Jag goes through one hell of a roller coaster in this book trying to prove to Ellen that he loves her and only her and it kills me to see him suffer through this ordeal to try and win Ellen back and have to feel how broken he is and everything he goes through just for this one woman that has stolen his heart since they were children. Jag really takes my breath away and I wish there could be men out in this world like him. I'm sure there are -- but they're hard to find! Book 3: Both POV's: This last book really puts their love to the test. After everything they both have been through, can they survive their love? Both Ellen and Jagger really have some serious talking to do in order to make their love survive and make it work. But now that Ellen has a new man in her life, she seems to be confused and doesn't know what she wants. She knows she loves Jag but she's enjoying her new man's company. He showers her with attention and that's the one thing she's always wanted from Jagger. She wanted his attention and his protection. All she craved was Jag. But Jagger was new to the whole fame thing and didn't think about Ellen's feelings and just went with what his agent wanted from him. But Jagger soon realizes that Ellen is not worth losing and he will do whatever it takes to get his girl back and boy does Jag go out with a bang in this book! I loved the whole dual POV's. Loved that the first book was El's POV, second was Jag's POV and the third book had both POV's. Jagger was a true lover at heart. Not once did he do any harm or wrong and he really, really, really tried hard to please his girl. Jagger had my heart since book one. Things happen and confusion always plays a part in our lives and causes problems, especially when there is no communication. Ellen lacked communication and wasn't straightforward with Jagger in telling him exactly what he was doing wrong with their relationship. It took Jagger a while to figure that out and caused some serious pain and heartache. Loved, loved this series and I can't express how much I loved both Ellen and Jagger. She was a feisty one that's for sure, and I loved her courage and determination to stand her ground at times. She sure knew how to play the "hard to get" part when she left him the first time, and that's the way to do it. But it tore my heart how they both had to suffer and everything they went through. Jag's courage and determination is what I loved about this series. He would stop at nothing to get Ellen and he fought tooth and nail for her and the things he had to go through to prove his love was true and genuine. I totally recommend this series, you will fall in love with this series as much as I did ;) 5 golden stars for this series!!
