The opening grabbed me straight away and I was here for it. That being said, there were times where I found the dialogue quite repetitive and it slowed the story down. However...as Jack, the man who broke Ella's trust and heart, steps up and in to protect her I knew an already complicated situation was only going to get more sticky. Secrets, murder, steam and mystery kept me glued to my kindle. But, I just feel like there was almost too much going on and not enough time reestablishing the connection between Ella and Jack. I wanted more of that reconciliation with the danger and mayhem thrown in. But with the way this ended, with more questions left than answers and things so unsettled, I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of it plays out.
