It was dark (much darker than I usually read) and wild and so intricately written that I couldn't stop reading. Lola was the best. Brave and sassy. Bold and resilient. She had to be for all she had endured. And she wasn't going to let some narco dictate her future. Even if there was something about him that she couldn't get out of her head. Same for him. He was ruthless and demanding. Cold and so intrigued by the fearless beauty. Somewhere in the middle of cartel wars and keeping secrets, there was this bond grabbed on tight and wouldn't let go. It was the most honest and real thing they knew and it ran deeper than their scars. But oh the way things changed when sweet Alma was put in the crosshairs of a madman....
