Vengeance was something I’d been waiting all my life to deliver. It would be sweet and worth every risk I’d taken to get to this point.

I was moments away from pulling the trigger, taking the life of the man who’d cost my father his…

And then she was dragged into the room, struggling and fighting for freedom.

The moment I set eyes on Tavia, everything changed. Those darker than espresso eyes were full of fear, her mouth so ripe that had once begged me to devour it trembling in fright. She looked up at me through a curtain of thick, long lashes and gasped.

“Theo,” she whispered, her voice cracking as those eyes I’d fallen hard for filled with tears. “Help me.”

It was then I realized my Tavia was also his.

My enemy’s daughter.

Hypnotized by his azure eyes, it wasn’t until he smiled that I realized I was leaning into him with my hand still clenched his shirt. I tried to lean back, but he wrapped an arm around my neck and the other around my waist. “Oh no, you don’t. Not quite yet. Wanna feel your softness up against me a little longer.”
I sighed through my nose. “Nice as that sounds, it’s not a good idea.”
A roguish grin lit his face. “Good ideas are rarely as fun as the bad ones.”
“Always an answer for everything.”
“Far from it,” he said.
His head lowered, lips brushing mine then settling in as he angled my head where he wanted me. This kiss was gentler but no less passionate. My breasts swelled and my whole chest warmed because his actions told me he would be this good or better in bed. I yearned to drive my hand into his hair. That urge shook me out of the moment and I wrenched my lips free.
“Dammit!” I hissed.
He chuckled. “Gotta say, that’s a step up from ‘God damn it!’ Maybe if I kiss you three more times I’ll get your true response.”
“No,” I cried. “No more kissing!”
“Then no more drinking.”
“What?” I asked trying to break out of his hold.
“You had two drinks right? Time for you to go back to your palace.”
“My palace?”
“What it’s called. Big sign out front, babe.”
“Aren’t you observant,” I said and nearly stumbled backward because Beast finally loosened his grip against my trying to step back from him.
His hands shot to my shoulders. “Are you steady? Or did you sneak a shot in there with the wine?”
“No! I know better than that. I just didn’t expect you to finally let go of me.”
He gave me a strange look along with an eyebrow arch.
I steadied myself and stepped around him. “Lucky for you, I need to get to the other side of the river. I hope you have a nice evening, Beast.”

My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid- Release Blitz with Excerpt

“Lush, beautifully written, and deeply romantic, My Darling Duke will sweep you off your feet. My heart was lost to this couple from the very start.” —Amalie Howard, author of The Beast of Beswick
Miss Katherine Danvers has always been a wallflower. But now, with her family on the brink of financial ruin, she finds herself a desperate wallflower. To save her family, she'll do anything. Luckily, she has the perfect plan...
She’ll impress the ton by simply announcing she is engaged to the reclusive and mysterious Duke of Thornton, Alexander Masters, and secure strong matches for her sisters. No one has heard from the duke in years. Surely he’ll never find out before her sisters’ weddings, and she can go back to her own quiet life.
Soon, though, everything is out of control. At first, it’s just a few new ball gowns on the duke’s accounts. Then, it’s interviews with reporters eager for gossip. Before she knows it, Katherine has transformed herself into Kitty Danvers, charming and clever belle of the ton—with everyone eager to meet her thankfully absent fiancé.
But when the enigmatic Alexander Masters suddenly arrives in the city, dashing and oh so angry, he demands retribution. Except not in the way Katherine expected…

“We will have to serve each other.”
The truth of this observation struck her most
forcibly. The words settled between them in the
small space. The duke was without his valet and
manservant, and he was a sodden, muddied mess.
This would go beyond a shameless massage of
his damaged muscles. His boots would have to be
removed. His clothes. Her breath panted harshly.
Dear God. And so would hers, and without a lady’s
maid.
Good heavens.
“I see,” she murmured, thoroughly vexed with
the heat flushing through her body and up to her
cheeks. She couldn’t have stopped her blush if her
life depended on it.
“Are you up to the task, then?” he asked, his tone
coolly mocking, his eyes watchful.
The bonds of probity and all that was proper
shattered and dissolved at her feet like fragile chinaware.
“Ah, your expressive face reveals your worry.”
She folded her arms across her waist and glared
at him.
His slow smile made her heart beat suddenly
faster.
“Do not fear— wretched, drowned cats are not
to my taste,” the duke said with mock sympathy. “A
tigress would be another matter entirely.”
The wretched tease! She released a breath she
hadn’t been aware she held. “Of course I am up to
the task,” she said with calm practicality. And she
would find some way to cease the infernal blushes!
“I will accept your aid, Miss Danvers, but
only after I have assisted you from those sodden
garments and dried your hair. My conscience could
not bear your death.”
“I beg your pardon?”
He pressed a hand against his heart and bowed.
“It would be my honor to be your lady’s maid.”

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Title: A Critical Tangent
Series: Moonlight & Murder #1
Author: Reily Garrett
Genre: Romantic Suspense/Thriller
Release Date: December 29, 2019
Enter a world where ignorance and darkness mask deceit and chaos.
Katherine Tallerman’s focus on designing drones is shattered after her prototype records her roommate’s murder. Captured video details the masked killer’s promise to find his remote witness and finish the job.
Experience has taught good reason for not trusting any cop, especially when they come knocking on her door. Unfortunately for Keiki, their suspicions narrow when the second of her trio of friends disappears without a trace.
Conflicting evidence at a brutal crime scene leaves gossamer threads weaving a complicated web of lies and deceit. Every lead Detective Garnett finds steers the investigation to a deeper, darker network entangling the young coed in a labyrinth of cunning subterfuge.
Garnett is torn between following the letter of the law and protecting the witness determined to clear her name. Can he earn Keiki’s trust in time to save her life, or will the psychotic killer destroy the woman who is crushing his emotional defenses?

“Aw, Keiki, if I could find the fun button in your brain, I’d switch it to permanent on. You’re always working. You should’ve come hiking with me. Fresh air would do you good.” Shelly tisked then smiled. “Not that there’s anything wrong with loving your work, but you have an old man psyche trapped in a young woman’s body.”
“Thanks, Shelly, but no.” Keiki manipulated her latest drone to perform the simple but intricate task of picking a flower. The outing did sound nice, but Shelly needed private time to mourn the loss of her sister.
“The next time you fall asleep working, I’m going to town with my entire set of permanent markers.” Shelly held her hand out to accept the offered blossom pinched from its low-growing stem and giggled. “You’d look good with cat whiskers and exotic pink eyes.”
“Test that theory, and I’ll replace your scented shampoo with baby oil.” The threat of laying waste to makeup or hair products usually ended any debate. “I’m about out of battery life. Can you bring it in?”
“Sure. Turn off the motors.”
Damn. The soft whirr from the small rotors altered in pitch as they shut down one by one.
Malevolent shadows crawled along the edges of the surrounding woods, receding with the rising sun. Even from miles away, Keiki’s skin crawled.
“I hear something.” Shelly rested a palm beside her woodland flower plot to lean forward.
Through remote viewing, Keiki watched her doppelganger freeze then tilt her head to the side, wrinkles of concern marring her forehead.
“What?” Thanks to the hilly terrain, two-way communication crackled off and on.
“Huh, must be a rabbit or squirrel. Anyway, as I was saying. Become a spinster with hundreds of drones instead of cats. I’ll keep you in contact with the outside world.” Again, Shelly paused and tilted her head as if listening to something off in the distance.
“Hey, why don’t you come back now and we’ll have breakfast?”
“Yeah, okay. I’m coming. Can you extend the range on this thing’s transmission ability? The video feed isn’t so great.” Lips nibbled between her teeth marked Shelly’s worry when she leaned forward to whisper.
“I’m working on it. What’s wrong?
“I’m kinda spooked. Something doesn’t feel right.” Her fingers’ wobble shook the drone’s body. It listed sideways with a squeak.
 “Shelly?”
“I’m fine. It’s just my clumsiness in challenging gravity… Oh, about the frat party tonight, wanna go?”
The viewing angle changed again as Shelly stood.
“No. And before you start, I do have fun. I just don’t have time to party with you and Gabby. Some people stay focused on their future,” Keiki grumbled as she monitored her prototype’s efficiency on her laptop and sipped a caramel latte.
A distinctive metallic snap coincided with her device’s struggle to function.
“Oops. Sorry, Keeks. An arm broke off above your tracker thingy. I’ll stick it in my pocket, and you can glue it back on, or whatever. Do we still have audio and visual feed?”
“Yeah, just bring the rest of it back in one piece, okay?” Keiki groaned, predicting the hour it would take to fix. “Careful. That thing is one of two prototypes, but that one gets the best reception.” Keiki set her coffee down, the cup tilting when settling on her friend’s access card. “Oops, your work ID now has a brown ring on it. You really should be more careful with it.”
“How rude of me to leave it where you’d drink your coffee.”
“That’s why we get along so well. We think alike. I’ll stick it on my dresser. It’ll be safer there.”
“If you’d stop losing yours, you wouldn’t have to borrow mine… shit. Something is coming.” Fear coiled through Shelly’s voice. “Sounded like a branch snapping down the trail. Something big and heavy.”
“Is it a black bear? You know what to do.”
A silent moment passed.
 On screen, the image shook.
“Uh… who are you? What do you want?” Shelly’s wrist rotated, tilting the angle of the drone’s camera to the trampled weeds.
Through the odd angle, booted feet shuffled backward to leave two furrowed tracks. No one had ever intruded on her friend’s private sanctuary.
“I’m a messenger, here to show your boss what happens when he refuses to work with us. We tried being nice. Now we’ll do things my way.”

Packaged Love by Loni Ree- Audio Tour with Excerpt

Title: Packaged Love
Series: Love at First Sight
Author: Loni Ree
Genre: Romance
Audible Release Date: December 13, 2019 Ebook Release Date: September 8, 2019
All I wanted to do was make a simple package exchange, then the next thing I know, Mr. Tall, Dark, Handsome, and Jerk-Face is slamming me to the ground and threatening me with jail and other real pleasant experiences. Yep, my day certainly could be better.
Who knew a delivery guy's screw-up could lead to finding "the one"?
Ethan Wescott instantly falls for the gorgeous, little thief he catches stealing his package. Once he realizes it's all a misunderstanding, he's left trying to convince Emma even a caveman jerk deserves the chance to redeem himself. He's going to have his work cut out for him, because so far, she isn't too impressed.
After today, I can make the rest of the party favors and get my aunt off of my back, if the package ever arrives. While waiting and scrolling through the available movies, I hear the box drop on my front step and run to grab it. To my absolute horror, it's not my box. The package is addressed to E. L. Wescott, 1216 Oak Lane Drive. I'm E. L. Wolcott, 1216 Oak Land Drive.
Oh my God! E. L. Wescott probably has my ceramic babies. After running to find my phone, I frantically look up Oak Land Drive in my maps app. To my surprise, it's only a few roads away, so I decide to take the wrong package and hopefully make a hostage exchange.
Oh, wow, a couple of roads makes a huge difference. After turning onto the quiet subdivision road, the beautifully manicured lawns and gorgeous modern homes are a pleasant surprise. When I arrive at 1216, I notice a box sitting in front of the impressive two-story house. I park and take the package hoping to make the trade.
A glance at the box by the door confirms my suspicion that my package was delivered here by mistake. Since I don't want to just switch and run, I ring the doorbell several times, but no one answers the door. I figure it's not stealing since I'm leaving their box and taking mine, so I exchange the two packages and head back for my car.
Two steps from my car, my body is slammed to the ground, and my box goes flying. I hear the sound of shattering babies, and my heart drops.
"You little fucker, I bet Bubba's gonna love your soft ass in jail. You shoulda stolen from some other sucker," is grunted in my ear as my head is shoved into the manicured grass.

Loni Ree, a very busy mom of six, loves to read because she finds that reading helps her escape the chaos of everyday life. She loves quick, red-hot reads that are on the excessive side. Writing is a passion of hers, so Loni decided to share the stories floating around in her mind. Her short, steamy stories are a little over the top because she believes reading should be an escape from real life. She writes about love at first sight that always leads to a Happily Ever After!

The genteel gallery crowd wandered through the maze of stark-white walls viewing the artwork, their conversation muted and indiscern- ible. Claire didn’t have to hear their comments about the paintings. The only thing she cared about was whether they liked her desserts, and judging by the low inventory on every tray, they did.

The gallery director, a high-strung woman by the name of Brenda Chang, jetted over, her straight dark hair swinging wildly. She surveyed the table as if try- ing to gauge whether there were enough to last—and there were, thank you, because the caterer knew how to do her job—then nodded at Claire.

“I wish the event was as big a hit as your desserts. I’ll gain five pounds if I don’t watch myself,” Brenda said.

Claire smiled at the compliment. “Well, I’m glad you like them. I also have a restaurant downto—”

“Hold that thought.” Brenda darted after one of the patrons, an elderly lady encrusted with diamonds. Too bad Brenda hadn’t motioned the woman in this direction. Claire’s bakery could use a wealthy fan or two.

She glanced past Brenda, her gaze landing on the man behind her. A sudden jolt rocked her spine. The same jolt she’d gotten before, but this time she knew she recognized him.

Time slid to a stop, and the people, the artwork, the chatter, all of it, faded as he walked toward her, his gaze similarly fastened on her. There was practically music playing in her head. Okay, well, there really was music piping from the sound system, but somehow he made it a whole other kind of moment, one full of magic and fairytale glitter.

“Hi,” he murmured, and his voice... Oh, yes, his voice was amazing and deep and it thrilled through her, raising goosebumps in its wake.

“Hi.” How she got that out around the huge, sudden lump in her throat, she’d never know.

It’s the guy. The one from Crate and Barrel. And here he was in the flesh, talking to her and even better-looking in the low gallery light in a crisp suit that looked amazing on him. She might have to find a way to surreptitiously fan herself, because wow.

“So, how’s your night going?” he asked.

“Good.” Fabulous, she wasn’t squeaking out her answers like a squirrel with stage fright. He held out a hand. “I’m Eric.” “Claire.” She shook his hand, and everything inside her collided in a mess of destiny, squishy-girl feelings that only happened when you met someone worth squish- ing over, and a giddy sense of wonder. Providence had finally smiled down on her. This was a moment she’d remember for a long time.

To wrap everything up in a big, solid bow, he seemed to have come to the fundraiser alone and didn’t seem to be in any hurry to go elsewhere.

“Are you an art aficionado?” he asked with a nod toward the wall behind that held a very ugly Robachaux painting from what appeared to be the artist’s messy finger-paint period, inexplicably titled “Eggplant with No Fur.”

“Do I lose points if I say the jury is still out?” Eric’s smile came slowly but it was worth it, like waiting for the sun to break out from behind the clouds. The intensity of it washed over her. She’d always been a rain girl—had to be, to live in this town—but all at once, she became a huge fan of Eric’s warm rays.

“Actually, I’ve been glancing around and I gotta say...” He leaned in, wafting her with a heavy dose of masculinity she couldn’t help but react to, and murmured, “You’re wise to withhold judgement until you’ve seen all of it. Want to walk around with me and let’s decide together?”

She couldn’t help it. She shivered. The good kind, the kind full of anticipation, like when you knew the wrapped box in front of you held the present you’d longed for, but you hadn’t opened it yet because want- ing it was too much fun.

Unfortunately, she wasn’t a guest. “I can’t. I’m the caterer, so I’m kind of stuck here. I can circulate with trays, but my time is limited.”

Which was exactly the way she wanted it. The tiny ping of disappointment had no place in the middle of a gig that had bought her and Marco a new oven.

His intense gaze never wavered from hers. “I’ll wait.”Really? Like, how long? Until the event was done? “That might be a while. At least until all of the des- serts are gone.”

“Well. That sounds like a challenge.”

Seven Minutes in Heaven. That was the game kids used to play for a poor excuse to kiss their crush—if they were lucky. The adult version is Under the Mistletoe, and it’s a hyped-up adult version of the same. Same rules apply, but with different props. Instead of hiding in a closet, two unfortunate souls are peer-pressured into standing under a stupid, dangling piece of mistletoe nailed to an archway to share a kiss.
It’s me. I’m the unfortunate soul tonight. I can’t say the same for Niles. He seems pretty damn happy about the whole thing. And why wouldn’t he? He’s been the underdog for as long as I’ve known him, which is in the ballpark of five months, but it’s pretty obvious that he’s the office nerd. No dates, no history of torrid affairs, no drunken stories to tell. The guy is as straightlaced as they come, right down to his pressed slacks and combed back hair.
I have to admit, though, he does have some killer green eyes. One of the lucky two percent of the world’s population, the bastard.
I look up into those eyes now, wondering how in the world I got myself into this mess. Then I remember it happened somewhere between the RumChata and Marisa’s mixed cocktails that were more like fireballs tearing out the lining of my throat as they clawed their way down my esophagus.
Office parties are the shit. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. And if they aren’t, then you’re not working in the right one.
Five years ago, I was lucky enough to find the perfect fit in terms of workplaces and people. Then I got fired for making a pass at my boss, and just when I thought I’d never find another Cinderella shoe like that one, I stumbled upon the little diamond called Fairweather Corporation, and while I have no earthly clue what they do or how they do it beyond the paperwork I push, it became an unexpected second home away from home.
So the whole point of this brief walk down memory lane is that there’s no way in hell I can shirk my responsibilities of kissing Mr. Niles Prescott tonight or any night, because at this early stage in my career with this company, I can’t afford not to be a team player. If that means swapping spit with a pasty version of Urkel, then so be it. Bring on the smooches!
Niles stands nervously in front of me, biting a thin lower lip, while our buddies watch on, jeering at us to “do it, do it,” and I know it’s now or never.
I waggle an eyebrow, take a step closer, and Niles takes an audible breath as I reach up to his lofty height and take his gentle face between my hands. “Kiss me like you mean it,” I tell him as I lift onto my toes and bring my mouth to his.

No, she isn't sorry.
