 A year in Australia working as a doctor sounds like a great idea to Autumn. She can escape the cold English weather, her ex-husband and a stalker. A year to get her life back together and not have any romantic involvements. ‘Love them and leave them wanting’ is Brett’s motto. That is until he sees Doctor Autumn Blake. This lady just might get through that tough layer he has built around himself. Can the sexual chemistry they feel be just that, or could it be more? Is one year long enough for these two people to forget their pasts and grab onto a chance of love or will they lose it forever. 4 Heart Review by Ashley Visiting Australia has always been on my bucket list. So reading a romance, set in the Cocky Hero world that takes place there was a no brainer. Add in the fact that the hero is just a regular guy and it made reading Cocky Carpenter fun to read. Especially after the awkward and hilarious first encounter between Autumn and Brett. And then the second one, where Brett came to lend a hand. There was absolutely no denying the attraction between them. I like that they both warred with themselves about getting involved but followed what their bodies were craving. I liked getting to explore Australia right alongside Autumn and Brett. It was during those outings that I really got to know the characters some more. And I totally understand how Autumn's vacation fling quickly became so much more than she bargained for. Throw a jerk of an ex, a nosy old neighbor and a stalker into the mix and it was a recipe for comedy and drama. Was it predictable? A bit. Did I care? Nope. I found myself reading furiously to try and get to the end to see if Autumn and Brett could figure out a way to make it work. And that ending! Talk about swoonville!
