Title: Havoc
Series: Tattoos & Ties #1
Author: Kindle Alexander
Genre: M/M MC Romance
Release Date: November 27, 2018 Cover Art: Reese Dante
Keyes Dixonâs life is challenging enough as a full patch member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club but being a gay biker leaves him traveling down one tough road. With an abusive past and his vow to the club cementing his future, he doesnât believe in love and steers clear of commitment. But a midnight ride leads to a chance meeting with a sexy pretty-boy in a wicked hot sports car that has him going down quicker than a Harley on ice.
Cocky Assistant District Attorney Alec Pierce lives in the shadow of his politically connected family. A life of privilege doesnât equal a life of love, a fact made obvious at every family gathering. Driven yet lonely, Alec yields to his familyâs demands for his career path, hoping for the acceptance he craves. Until he meets a gorgeous biker who tips the scales in the favor of truthâ¦and he can no longer live a lie.
Can two men from completely different worldsâ¦and sides of the lawâ¦find common ground, or will all their desires only wreak Havoc?
The screen illuminated Alecâs face, and even though Keyes wasnât religious, he swore he heard the angels sing in that moment⦠The sight stole Keyesâs breath. He came to a stop directly in front of the tempting driver. Resting both hands on his hips, he got lost just looking at this beautiful man. Keyes opened his mouth to speak. He could absolutely take care of this problem, but the words didnât come. Instead, he stayed mesmerized by the most gorgeous guy heâd ever seen.
âI have roadside assistance. I just have to remember which app to use.â
Keyes almost lost his bad boy composure when Alec distractedly glanced up from his phone and winked at him. Hold it together, Key. He finally got his head to stop spinning and all the cheesy porn music to quit playing on continuous loop in the background. Alec probably just had a twitch. Why would the guy be flirting with him? On the off chance Alec happened to be gay, Keyes obviously wasnât his type if the passenger were anything to go by. There was nothing refined or delicate about Key.
Even with the neurons misfiring in Keyesâs brain, he managed to clear his throat and lower his gaze to the grass to help find some fucking perspective. âWhere you headed?â Wait. That wasnât the statement heâd planned to make.
âI live in McKinney. He lives in the Uptown area of Dallas,â Alec answered, reading the screen as he cocked his head toward his putout passenger.
âWhatâre you doinâ out here?â Keyes asked. McKinney was a long way from the current location and as different as two places could possibly be.
Alec gave a humorless laugh while briefly lifting his gaze from the screen. Curious light eyes pinned Keyes in place. He wasnât sure heâd ever seen eyes that color. Keyesâs mouth watered, and his cock plumped, homing in on exactly what it wanted. âGoogle Maps said this was a detour. Hang on.â Alec lifted the phone to his ear. Keyes could hear a faint sound of a voice on the other end. âIâm on some side road in maybe South Dallas, perhaps even North Ellis County. Can you find my location?â
âListen, I can take care of this. I own a tire shop thatâs about fifteen minutes from here.â For the first time since the car had spun off the road, Alec truly looked at him. Their gazes connected for one maybe two heartbeats before Alecâs brow wrinkled and his eyes lowered. Keyes felt the weight of Alecâs stare as his eyes blatantly roamed the length of his body. Not only did his dick stand at attention but the damn thing attempted to parade down Main Street waving a rainbow-colored flag. A range of expressions crossed Alecâs handsome face until the hand holding the phone lowered and those extraordinary eyes were back on his. Had the guy noticed the impromptu party taking place in his pants? Keyes shifted his weight to his other foot.
âIâm Alec Pierce.â
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble / iBooks / Kobo -- EXCERPT: MYRTLE “Knock, knock?” I look up from my computer and see Pierce, standing in the doorway of my office. “Can I come in?” he asks. “You’re the boss,” I huff. He smiles. Tightly. Like he’s unsure how to proceed. It’s just all so different. “Uh… so how’s things?’ “Things?” I ask, raising one perfect eyebrow. “Do you have a specific example of said things?” “Well, no,” he says, coming inside to take a seat in front of my desk. “Nothing specific. Just… wondering if you have time for a special project.” We both look at my desk. Which doesn’t have a single file on it. Not even one sheet of paper. My Post-Its pad is still crisp and every pencil in my little pencil can is sharp. I think it’s pretty obvious that I do nothing in here all day. But I’m still angry at him. So if he thinks I’m gonna be the first to admit I don’t actually have a job to do and I’m just wasting corporate money, he’s mistaken. “I’m pretty busy,” I say. “Yeah,” he says, sighing. “I know. And I don’t want to take advantage or anything, but I could use your help.” I have my reading glasses on, so I do that head-tilt thing where you look down your nose at someone. “With what?” He looks around. Plucks a pencil out of the pencil jar. Taps it to his head as he thinks. He doesn’t have a project for me. He just wanted to come in here and feel me out. We both know this. But then he gets an idea. I swear I can see the little light bulb go off in his head. “The Halloween party.” “What about it?” “We… need… well…” “Pierce?” “What?” “You don’t have a project for me. And I don’t even have a job here.” “Of course you do! You’re the VP—” “Of social media, I know. The little plaque outside my office says so. But we both know there’s no social media department. Not to mention, I’m not even on social media and have no idea how it even works.” “You don’t have socials? How did I not know that?” “Well, you did think I was the Sexpert. So I’m just going to assume you don’t actually know anything about me.” “How can you still be pissed at me? It’s been months! I gave you a promotion, and an office, and—” “Again,” I say, putting up a hand to cut him off, “I do realize all that. And once again, it’s all meaningless. You don’t even know what a social media department does.” “It’s not meaningless.” He tugs on his suit coat. “And I’m well-versed in socials. I was Snapchatting just last night.” “With who?” “Uh…” He looks over his shoulder, like he needs a second to think, then says, “Valerie. She’s my chat friend now.” “You know I can tell when you lie, right? Your left eye does this little wink thing every time.” He huffs, then leans forward in his chair. “How long will you continue to do this?” “Do what?” “Punish me.” I laugh. Stop. Then laugh again. It’s a little bit of a guffaw with a healthy dose of maniacal thrown in for good measure. “This is not me trying to punish you, Pierce. This is me biding my time.” He lifts up one eyebrow. “Biding your time until… what?” “Until I have the perfect diabolical plan to pay you back.” He sits back in his chair, breathes deep. “So that’s what you need? Payback?” “I was publicly humiliated. A woman doesn’t just get over it, Pierce.” He winces when I snarl his name. “You hate me.” “People look at me funny now, you do realize that?” “Look at you funny how?” “Like I’m hiding some secret sexual fetish side.” “Aren’t you?” “What do you want?” “I mean, you do come off as… kind of a…” “A what?” “You know. Like you’re into the whole Red Room spanking thing, right?” “Anastasia Steele? You’re comparing me to Anastasia Steele? Please.” “Well, you wear those tight pencil skirts… and those sexy secretary glasses. Plus, I know you read that smut in here. You don’t even use an eReader. Everyone can see the covers. I used to have little Christian Grey fantasies when you used to look at me. Before… ya know, you decided to hate me.” I laugh. And it’s not even maniacal. It’s real. “Why is that funny?” “My dearest Pierce,” I say, still chuckling, “you are no Christian Grey. If anyone is Mr. Grey in this relationship, it’s me.”

Brittany’s rating: 4 of 5 stars I have really enjoyed this series. Unfortunately, there were some really big issues with this book that made reading it very difficult in some places. I have to give this book 3.5 stars because more often than not, I had no clue whether it was day or night, and it would have been very beneficial to know that. Also, there would be spots where a character would be doing something and then the next paragraph they would be doing something completely different and there was no transition or break to indicate that they had completed the previous action and moved on to the next. For example, Tess would be in the shower and then the next paragraph she'd be at the bar drinking Jack Daniels with Morgan. It was annoying because I'm like, how did she get there? Other than that, the book was good. We were in Trigger, Tess, and Allen's points of view. It made it more suspenseful knowing what Allen was up to, but at the same time, not knowing when it's going to hit. And Tess and Trigger are explosive together. View all my reviews

The Jerk Duet is complete!
The Day the Jerk Started Falling, the fun and flirty conclusion of The Jerk Duet, from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe is available NOW!
My name is Oliver Arsen, but my mates call me Ollie. I live hard and love harder, and it’s love that usually gets me in the most trouble. According to the greater population, I’m the ultimate jerk. My affection tends to be short-lived—a quality I’ve been assured multiple times by the fairer sex isn’t becoming—and the leaving part of loving and leaving has always come natural. At least, it used to. Until her. Luciana Wright. She’s an American bombshell and my sister’s best friend—a woman so wrong for me, it’s written in the waves. And she’s the reason we’re all here. The reason I have to go back to explain how it all went wrong. To the day the jerk started falling. Download your copy today or read FREE in Kindle Unlimited! For as much as I was anticipating getting Ollie's side of things I wasn't expecting my heart to be melted into a big puddle of mush. Thanks for that Max Monroe. This swoony rom-com was just what I needed. I loved Ollie's perspective. Getting to the truth behind his lies. Seeing how fast and hard he fell for Lucky. His helplessness to stop himself. But most of all, I loved seeing her through his eyes. Her strength and intelligence. Her beauty and vulnerability. Swoon city with a cherry on top. And as Lucky heard Ollie's words, every wall she erected came crumbling down. In her mad dash, her frantic need to get to Ollie, mayhem ensued. It was equal parts hilarious and anxiety inducing. This duet from Max Monroe proves once again that this duo writes rom-com gold. From broken hearts and France to forgiveness and New York, The Day the Jerk Started Falling had laughing and swooning at the same time. Ollie and Lucky's journey was proof that if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. These two challenged each other at every turn but they loved each other more.

The women are plentiful, the opportunities abundant, and the fun endless. I’ve taken a woman night surfing—only to end up using the board and the motion of the water for another purpose—jetted over to New Zealand for a two-day holiday with another, and given more than one a fair tour of my bedroom. No effort overspent, I enjoyed every moment of it. I live hard and love harder, but it’s the second one that usually gets me in the most trouble. My affection tends to be short-lived—a quality I’ve been assured multiple times by the fairer sex isn’t becoming. Basically, according to the greater population, I’m the ultimate jerk. And if you grouped the lot of my past conquests together and set me ablaze, not one of them would piss on me to save my life. Taking the next step, having a long-term relationship, has never been my forte. Commitment is hard. The thought of a one-woman wank for the rest of my life has barely ever been conceivable, let alone possible, and I have to blame that for how badly it all went. When I look back at my behavior, there has to be a reason. A reason, friends, that when it came to Luciana Wright, I fucked it all up. I’ve been cursed out, stomped on, slapped. Had my balls volleyed, spat on, and punched. And even, on one occasion, nearly run over by a car with a madwoman behind the wheel. But I’ve never been through the brutal torture of love. Until Lucky. She’s an American bombshell and my sister’s best friend—a woman so wrong for me, it should be written in the waves. And she’s the reason we’re all here. The exact reason why I strong-armed the lovely, albeit slightly hard-ass, editor of this fantastic website to let an Aussie bloke like me prattle on about his love woes. [chuckles] Vanessa, if you’re listening, I’m certain your balls are bigger than just about every man out there. And trust me, that is a compliment. [chuckles again] Also, thank you for your hospitality via podcast permission. It is much appreciated. And you, dear listeners, you should know that for the next God only knows how many episodes of this podcast series, I’m going to spend my time talking directly to Lucky. If you’re not her, but you’d like to keep listening, I urge you to help me. Help me by hearing me out. Help me by relating to my story. Help me plead my case. And to really prepare yourself to get the whole tale from both sides, listen to her podcast first. [distinct pause] I had you in my grasp, Lucky, but now it’s fallen apart. And in order to explain how it happened--to explain myself—I feel like I have to go back to the day it all began. To the day the jerk started falling.

If only there were a way to make her his—while keeping the true secret in his past from destroying everything—and everyone—he cares about... **More or Less a Temptress may be read and enjoyed as a standalone regency romance!ENJOY THIS SNEAK PEEK AT HYACINTH AND LACHLAN! Lachlan wrapped his fingers around her wrist and drew her hand away from his face. “I told you never to sacrifice yourself for me again.” “Yes.” It was the simple truth, and Hyacinth didn’t try to deny it. His eyes grew darker, and his hands clenched into fists. “Why, then?” Why. She wanted to say, because it wasn’t a sacrifice. She wanted to say, because I’d do anything to keep you from being hurt again. She wanted to say, because I didn’t have a choice. She wanted to say, you already know why. In the end, she didn’t say any of those things. Or perhaps she said them all, just in far fewer words. “Because I love you, Lachlan.” And oh, it was so easy to say it. She’d thought it would be difficult—she’d been afraid she’d hesitate, or stammer—but then those words had been hovering on her lips almost since the first moment she saw him. They’d been poised on her tongue, just waiting for her to speak them aloud. His mouth opened, and his throat worked, but no sound emerged. A tremor shot through her at his silence, but she’d said what was in her heart. She wouldn’t take it back, even if she could. Hyacinth gathered her courage, stepped closer, and buried her face against his chest. He smelled so good, like fresh air and the outdoors, and something else, something earthy, like…heather. Scottish heather, woody and mossy, with just a faint hint of honeysuckle. She pressed her face into his neck, inhaled deeply, and wondered if one could become drunk on a scent. A scent, or a smile, or a man’s gentle hands… “Go to bed, Hyacinth.” He reached behind him, grasped her wrists, and tugged her hands away. “Tomorrow, when we see Finn, you’ll tell him the truth, and answer every question he asks. Do you understand me? You won’t sacrifice yourself for me—or for Isla or Ciaran—again.” He was staring down at her, his face so hard and still Hyacinth’s nerve nearly failed her. The other Hyacinth—the timid one—wanted to run from the room then, but she could feel his struggle in the tremble of his body, in every harsh, labored breath he drew. He wanted her as much as she wanted him. Tonight, that was enough. “I’m not going to bed.” She slid her hands over his chest to his shoulders and worked his coat down his arms. His breath caught when it fell to the floor with a heavy thud, then it stopped in his chest when she loosened the buttons of his waistcoat, dragged it off him, and tossed it to the floor. “Don’t.” He caught her wrists in his hands again to stop her, but Hyacinth heard the pleading note hidden in the gruff command, and she saw the way his eyes darkened as he stared down at her. He held her fast, refusing to free her wrists, so Hyacinth leaned forward and pressed her mouth to the hollow of his throat. She felt his gasp, the convulsive movement of his throat against her lips as he tried to swallow back a moan. “Let go of my hands, Lachlan,” she murmured against his heated skin. “No, damn you.” He was fighting to catch his breath. “You’re not wasting yourself on me.” His words were lost in another gasp as she opened her mouth and grazed her teeth lightly over his throat. “Waste myself? No, Lachlan. It’s not a waste to give myself to the man I love.” “No. You can’t love me. I won’t let you.” But even as he protested, his body was straining toward her, every muscle tensed with need. “You can’t love me, leannan.” She laughed softly as she dragged her tongue around the curve of his ear. She nipped his earlobe, then moved lower to trail hot kisses over the bare skin revealed by the open neck of his shirt. “It’s too late, you stubborn, foolish man.”About Anna Anna Bradley is an award-winning author of Regency Historical Romances A WICKED WAY TO WIN AN EARL, A SEASON OF RUIN, LADY ELEANOR'S SEVENTH SUITOR, LADY CHARLOTTE'S FIRST LOVE, TWELFTH NIGHT WITH THE EARL, MORE OR LESS A MARCHIONESS, and MORE OR LESS A COUNTESS, coming in August, 2018. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast. Kat’s a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). When she’s not writing, she’s either scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible. She hopes to retire there one day so she can spend her days writing books on the beach. Kat has been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles. As you can guess from her series, the Las Vegas Sidewinders, Kat loves hockey. She is also a freelance hockey writer, covering her favorite team, the Florida Panthers, and any other teams that have an interesting story. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance… Connect with Kat: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/authorkatmizera/ Amazon: http://amzn.to/2lzRBG6 Twitter: https://twitter.com/AuthorKatMiz Bookbub: http://bit.ly/2li6zRe Website: http://www.katmizera.com |
