Christmas season starts at our house the day after Thanksgiving. If I’m writing about Christmas, the festivities begin the moment I have the idea for the story. Even though I’m not on the radio in San Francisco anymore, music is still one of my greatest passions. My trusty Sony MDR-7506 headphones are never far from me. It’s no surprise to anyone who knows me that I would write a song about a singer. I’m in love with Trace Montgomery. :-) In Kissing Mr. Mistletoe, several songs became part of Monique and Trace’s story and are mentioned by name. Country star, Trace Montgomery, the main character of Kissing Mr. Mistletoe even makes up his own words to “Winter Wonderland.” If Kissing Mr. Mistletoe were a soundtrack, from start to finish, in order, here’s how it would sound to me. “Blame it On The Mistletoe” —Toby Keith “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” (feat. Meghan Trainor)—Brett Eldredge Meghan Trainor “Winter Wonderland” —Ella Fitzgerald “All I Want For Christmas is You” —Lady Antebellum “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” —Brad Paisley “It Won’t Be Christmas Without You” —Brooks & Dunn “Run Rudolph Run” —Chuck Berry “Something About December” —Christina Perri “The Christmas Song” —Vince Guaraldi Trio “Please Come Home For Christmas ” —Kelly Clarkson “A Holly Jolly Christmas” —Burl Ives “Whatever It Takes” —Lifehouse “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” —Lady Antebellum “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” —Harry Connick Jr. Listen to Trace and Monique’s soundtrack: “Kissing Mr. Mistletoe” on Kate Kisset’s Spotify Page: https://play.spotify.com/user/12171286538/playlist/3uSUhXV6xFQPYv78HuM0td ![]() ![]() ![]()
