First off: THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Thank you to every single one of you. For liking my page, for reading my reviews, for watching my reviews, for putting up with me. Without you, I wouldn't be here. Really. I do this for several reasons, that I will discuss later, but the biggest reason is because of you. I want to help you find that book that will change your life, well, maybe not change your life, but find that book that you will read that will let you experience that myriad of emotions we book lovers crave.
Thank you! Thank you for al your support. In the words of whoever said this... "You like me... You really, really like me!" *sniffles*

Second, I often get asked why I do this. How did I get started? Well, let me answer those questions. I guess I should start from the very beginning...
When I was younger, like kindergarten and earlier, I loved to read. I loved being able to sit down and concentrate on something. I have ADHD, and as I was younger, it was especially bad. I could never sit down and concentrate on one thing, I was always running around. It got very frustrating, especially for my parents. So being able to sit down and read and be quiet, even for a few minutes, was big. Reading was my escape. As I got older, I would start reading longer books, and by the time I was in fourth grade, I could read at a twelfth grade level. Crazy, I know.
When I hit high school, I stopped reading. I got busy. So the summer before I started my freshman year of college, I picked up Fifty Shades. I had heard so much about it on the radio, and decided to give it a try. I devoured that series. I then would buy more and more paperbacks off Amazon. I realized if I got a Kindle, not only were the books cheaper, but I could get them instantly! That Christmas, I wished for a Kindle and got one. Best present ever! (Thanks mom!!!)
As I continued reading, I discovered Indie authors. I discovered these cheap books that were also amazing and some of the best I've ever read. I then discovered there was this world on Twitter and on Facebook, of blogs and authors and characters. I was sucked in deeper and deeper. Not many people know, for a while, I role played Mia Grey on Twitter.
I started following blogs and authors and realized that a lot of people talked about how reviews were everything for authors. I never left a review, so after each book, I made it a point to go and leave a few words on Amazon for the author. I then discovered Goodreads, and would leave reviews there too.
I soon discovered that blogs were big things too. I wanted to be a part of one, but was afraid that having my own would take up too much of my time. I joined Abby's Book Blog (now known as Abby and Lisa's Book Blog) and had a blast. That was where I met SE Hall, who invited me into her street team and had me as a beta. From that moment on, I was a goner. I was in this book world forever.
These people, Abby, Lisa, SE Hall, they helped me into this community. It's because of them that I'm so immersed in this culture. Thank you!
Abby and Lisa let me go, saying my reviews weren't what they were looking for. I am still grateful for them, though, for giving me the basics and the instruction on what it's like to run a blog.
Isabelle Peterson let me join Fictional Boyfriends, a blog with 14,000+ followers on Facebook. That was huge! That's 14,000 people being able to connect with me. Except they didn't really do reviews, but still, getting to share what book I was reading, what I liked about it... It was great! Izzy pushed me to create my own blog, and on December 17, 2013, I created Brittany's Book Blog. Thank you, Izzy. Really. Thank you so much.
It was slow moving, but I got a website up and running, I started signing up for blog tours, I was getting better and more in depth with my reviews. I was so happy!
I noticed that as I grew, I couldn't do it on my own. I was so hesitant to add an admin to my blog. It was my baby. I put so much work in it, and I really didn't want to share. But my blog isn't about me, it's about the readers, and I needed more hands to help me please them. So I added Nichole. I had noticed Nichole posting on my wall often about how I helped her find her next big read and I thought she was perfect! She was great! She soon decided to leave, but convinced me to take Erin on. I miss Nichole greatly, but her and I are still great friends.
Erin is a big help. I love her to death! She's added a lot to the blog. Thank you!!!!
And a few months ago, I added Amanda! WOW!!!! She's done SOOO MUCH! It's a blessing to have her, and I never knew that she'd be as big a help as she is. Amanda, THANK YOU for all you've done. God, you're great.

It's been a great year. I've done so much. I've met so many people. I've interacted with so many authors and fans and readers. I've learned so much, I've done so much. I hope that I have another great year and will soon reach 5000 likes.
I am so happy where I am. Again, to all of you, THANK YOU. I could not have done this without you.

Make sure you join the event that's taking place tonight!!!
