Two love-matches made. One to go. Even though two of his best friends have settled down, Wes Lancaster is determined not to get sucked into some siren’s web. As owner of the professional football team the New York Mavericks and wildly successful BAD restaurant, his lifestyle is full as it is. Well, it was, until Winnie Winslow, the new, sexy, stiletto-wearing Team Physician trash-talks him in the locker room without batting an eye. Now he can’t stop himself from wanting her. The only girl in her parents’ brood of five, she’s as outspoken as she is beautiful and the kind of woman who holds her own—and then some. Always competitive at heart, if he’s going all in for love... Wes sure as hell wants a Win-Win. Prepare to get a little dirty because this one might go into overtime. Game. On. Disclaimer: Max and Monroe, under penalty of fictional perjury, swear that actually changing the rhythm of your heartbeat was not their intention, but rather, a side effect of swoony characters and an overzealous dedication to tears. No, no. The Dedication of the book is actually to tears. Proceed with caution. Except, be cautious quickly. Thanks. 4.5 Star Review by Ashley Yes, yes and more YES!!! I am so in love with Max Monroe's Billionaire Bad Boys series- it is absolute rom-com perfection. Scoring the Billionaire is such a great addition to the collection- because Wes Lancaster is as sexy as he is broody! His one true love is his job. It is where he loses himself because that is all he knows how to do. Yes, he's a good friend but he's never claimed to be a boyfriend. Don't even get me started on Winne- that woman is a spit-fire. She has the sass and attitude and the know-how to back it all up. Her and Wes, when they finally give into the inferno that is their mutual attraction, really steam up the training room, and office and a few other places too. But the center of her world is her super smart and adorable daughter, Lexi and she always comes first. That little lady almost stole the show and when her and Wes teamed up- game over. But Wes doesn't do kids, or relationships. So what is a troubled mind and heart to do? I liked that Wes and Winnie's love story was so different from the others in this series. It wasn't easy. It wasn't always light. It came with road blocks and setbacks. There was more at stake than just their hearts, the heart of a little girl was invested, too. But there was no denying that these two are meant for one another. Oh, and not to worry though, there were enough glimpses at the other couples I loved in this series to keep me laughing despite all the angst Wes and Winnie put me through.
