Review by Lorena This is the first book I read from this author and I have to say that this book left me breathless and saying WTH as soon as I reached the end, and now I can't wait to continue on to the next installment because hot damn this book left me hooked in the end. Leah and Robert both have suffered tremendously from depression due to the loss of their daughter. Leah shuts herself out and Robert takes off and Leah knows nothing of him for about a year and when she finally hears back from him, he's in a comma due to a drug overdose. Leah is such a sweetheart and she forgives Robert and takes him back even though Robert cheated throughout his disappearance, but Robert felt lost and hopeless after their daughter died. He felt responsible and he didn't know how to cope with their loss so he turned to the worse thing he possibly could and that was drugs. Now that things are going great for them, Robert has decided that he wants to return to fighting and Leah isn't happy about that. She's scared of losing him. They already lost their daughter and she can't tolerate losing him too. They have been trying to conceive and have finally achieved that goal and they're both over the moon, the only thing in the way is Robert wanting to keep boxing and Leah thinks that's a dangerous sport and doesn't want him fighting. She can't handle it but she really has no choice in the matter. He has promised that he's going to fight one more fight and then he's retiring for good. The question is, is he going to fight just one more fight and then retire or will he get hooked and want to continue fighting after this one big fight coming up? There are so many unanswered questions that we need answers to and I can't wait to find out! You feel the emotions they feel throughout this story. It feels like you're living it with them. They live a simple routine life and you would never think anything unexpected would happen to them. Just when I think this book is about to end happily....BOOM! I get slapped with a twist that leaves me with my mouth agap!! I really loved how this book ended -- even in a cliffhanger I totally loved how this story took a turn in the end of this book and leaving you wanting more, more, more!! 4.5 stars for this first installment About the Author First and foremost I am a wife, mother and grandmother.
