Picture
My guardian angel is a devil in disguise.
He hates me. He protects me.

He watches me.

My stalker is obsessed with keeping me safe. He calls me his prettiest debt.

An assassin in the notorious Bullet gang, he uses his empire to control my life. Everything I know is a lie.

What started as a debt turned into something more. What started as regret turned into obsession.

Ambition is his muse and I am his conscience. Our past may bind us together, but his enemies will tear us apart.

My guardian angel is a devil in disguise.
He hates me. He protects me.

And I think I love him.

3.5 Heart Review by Ashley

This is my first book from Coralee June and it is not my typical read. I'm not completely sure where to begin with A Lovely Obsession. Dark. Gritty. Twisted. Messy. Raw. Slightly disturbing. And I found myself completely engrossed in Roe's story.

Both the main characters had been through so much in their lives. Things that bound them together. While Hunter was working behind the scenes, it was Roe who was the most affected by his actions. As things start heating up, Roe and Hunter spend more time together and more questions keep popping up. The answers are a bitter pill to swallow and ever so slowly, the tangled web of deceit begins to unfold.

There were so many ways Coralee June could've taken this book. I had a few theories spinning in my mind, and I am happy to report that none of them were right! Going in, I didn't know A Lovely Obsession was part one of a duet. So while it doesn't exactly end of a cliffhanger, I was definitely left wanting more for Roe and Hunter. Fingers crossed they get it.
