Oh, mon dieu! Fifi Flowers gives us another taste of her extravagant and eclectic writing in A Window to Love, book number one in the Encounters series.

Melissa Bennette is lonely, wandering the streets of New York, looking at all the shop windows decorated for Christmas. The holiday tradition used to be spent with her parents, but ever since a tragic accident took their lives, Melissa has had a hard time during the Christmas season.

One window brings a man into her life, one that changes everything.

“Oh, what I would love to do with you.”

Evan Duke has been following Melissa around for quite a while, not just that night. He sees his chance and takes her home for a night filled with hot and steamy sex.

When Evan decides he wants more, Melissa is ready to give that to him. She is always wary though, afraid that he will drop her like he does all his other women.

Watch as Evan and Melissa’s relationship blossoms and brush up on your French with Fifi Flowers’ A Window to Love.

I give Fifi Flowers four and a half stars for this novel. It was really well written and I loved the story line. In places, though, the story seemed way too rushed, and I didn’t like that.

There was also some minor grammar and punctuation issues, but those didn’t bother me as much.

Fifi Flowers also brings in many little French phrases and words, which is totally Fifi. I only needed my translator app once or twice; she does a really good job using the context around those words and phrases to make sure you know what she is saying.

The romance factor in this novel is way up in the stratosphere. Fifi can write erotica like it’s nobody’s business. Definitely intended for those readers eighteen and up. It never got old to me, she was continually refreshing it with new ideas.

Another thing that Fifi is really good at is description. She has a very colorful vocabulary and never leaves me guessing as to how something or someone looks. As soon as she described Evan’s appearance, I immediately had David Gandy come to mind.

I love the relationship between all the characters, especially Melissa and Duke. They obviously love each other and have more of a history than even they realized. Melissa also has some amazing and quirky friends. I’d have to say, my favorite scene was the photo shoot with Lilly. You have to read to know what I’m talking about. Not only does it show off Melissa’s friendship with Lilly, but it is a very steamy scene.

Great job, Fifi! I freaking love you. Your writing style, your vocabulary, your erotica… you’re everything I could ever want. I can’t wait for the next book in the Encounters series, I need more Melissa and Evan!

About Fifi Flowers

“Art is an experience that transcends all cultural boundaries... it makes us feel!” Fifi Flowers

Fifi Flowers is an internationally known artiste who paints her daydream city of Paris, adding her special flair of whimsy and fun to the iconic images of Paris. Beautiful things that surround her daily life are what inspire her to paint. Setting a mood... playing with colour... experimenting with patterns and textures... painting on canvas or archival paper.

Fifi penned her love of Paris and romance to the pages of her first novel, A Window To Love, published on August 11th, 2013. Fifi's love of writing began at a very young age, and finally, during the Fall of 2012, she sat down, and instead of putting paint to paper, put her pen to paper and began her first novel. A Window To Love is the first in her series of eight romance novels.

Fifi has a bachelor's degree in Art and a minor in Art History from California Polytechnic University. She also attended UCLA Film School for Production Design.

Fifi resides in the Los Angeles area of California… but part of her heart resides in Paris, France.
